my DH and I are flying down for a Sandiego football game in December. Since we have never been to DL during the holiday season he said we could go for Saturday December 15th. We will probably get to the park at around 10 or 11am depending on traffic. The park is open till midnight. We will have a park hopper ticket. We do go to dl or wdw at least once a year, so I am not worried about getting on a ton of rides. as we will inevitbly be back before too long!

Other then lunch at the Blue Byou (simply put an absloute must!) we would love to know what is a must do for the holiday season at dl/dca. What characters have different costumes for the holiday?

I suggest Haunted Mansion and It's a Small World both of which will have a holiday overlay. Maybe Nemo if the line isn't too horrible. A word of warning, it will be crowded so it would probably be better to have one or two must dos and go with the flow the rest of the time. The decorations are wonderful and you will enjoy them no matter what you do. Have a great time!

Haunted Mansion Holiday and Holiday "it's a small world" are must sees, and I recommend the Christmas parade and the Believe...in Holiday Magic fireworks at Disneyland, too! I'm not sure about weekends, but on weekdays the first parade is less crowded than the second. I think most of the major characters (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale, etc.) have different costumes during the holiday season. Be sure to enjoy the holiday decorations in New Orleans Square and Toontown. And Santa's Reindeer Roundup is cute. There's not a lot of holiday decorating over at DCA, though Santa's Beach Blast is set up in Sunshine Plaza, and there are some decorations in Flik's Fun Fair, Hollywood, and the San Francisco area.

Make a Priority Seating reservation for Dec. 15....if you book at the early lunch for 11:30AM you will probably get a waterside table. Have a great time!
