If I buy a 1 day 2 park ticket, can it be upgraded to a 2 day, 2 park ticket on the first day. I ask since they are running the special for AP holders for 50% off tickets and the ticket they mention is a 1 day 2 park. (Last year they offered 1 day or 2 day tickets for 50% off and we would prefer the 2 day tickets.)

you can upgrade.
you pay the difference of the cost.

since you would be paying only 50% of the original ticket, not sure if you pay the difference of the actual cost of what the ticket sells for or the increase of one day to two day ticket.

Thanks. I did call the passholder hotline and was told that I could not upgrade the ticket since it was a special purchase - bummer.

But I was told that I could order the 1 day 50% off tickets over the phone at the discounted price and could pick them up at the window even if I was not going to pick them up until August. She said that had to be purchased by June 30 (end of the current promotion), but it didn't matter when I got them. I really need the 2 day tickets since we are taking some extra folks for Sat/Sun. Now I have to decide before June 30.

(I only mention this because the little print says they have to be purchased at the window for that day use.)

thanks for coming back and letting us know what universal said.

on regular tickets, i know you can upgrade by paying the difference on them.

on the promo tickets, i just didn't know if it could be or not.

maybe you could contact the AP hotline and ask if they have possible plans to do the 2 day, 2 park promo later this year.

I was thinking of doing this. Last year I sent them an email and they responded back to me successfully.
