My family & I are heading to Orlando for a WDW vacation In late September. My son & I are heading over to US for 1 Day. I Know the 1 day, 2 park pass exists.

1) Acknowledging that I can't do both parks justice in one day.

2) Realizing that the park is only open from 9:00 to 6:00.

3) I only want to take 1 day.

Do you US experts think its a waste for a 2 park pass and I should only concentrate on 1 park, or hit the top
4-5 attractions in each park and go for it?
:confused3

Buy the one park pass and if you find you have some time to hit the other park, then just upgrade at Guest services for $10.65.

Phantom's idea is good, but if you are willing to hoof it fast, you can hit most of the good attractions at both parks in a day, 2 or 3 at each park. IOA Jurassic Park River Ad/Spider Man/The Hulk/Dueling Dragons (Eat at Mythos) U old park, the Mummy, MIB, Shrek, Terminator. Just a thought.

Depends on time of year. If you're going when it's slower (which it should be in late September), do the highlights at each park. Even with the early closing you should be able to get the 'biggies' under your belt in a day, if you don't dawdle.

We just did that very thing yesterday, with a late start, three boys (8, 10 and 13) and a long afternoon break. Didn't get there until 11:30am, rode Mummy twice, BTTF once, saw Animal Planet Live (gotta keep the youngest happy, right?) hopped over to IOA after a 3 hour break in downtown Orlando for lunch and a meeting, rode The Hulk, did Dueling Dragon's three times while the younger two boys rode some 'kiddie' rides, hit Spiderman and had time to stroll a bit.

If you arrive early, don't take a break mid-day and do each attraction once, you should get the best of the best in during the course of a day.

We did this very thing in mid-January of this year. We bought the 1-day/2-park pass and was able to hit everything we wanted and more in both parks. We were in the turnstyle line at IoA at 9 am, and booked it for Dueling Dragons. We rode that 3 times, then did Jurassic Park (Dudley was in refurb, too cool for Popeye), rode Storm Force, Spiderman 2x, Hulk 2x (got back seat both times), and Cat in the Hat. We had absolutely no wait for anything. There was a crowd at the Hulk, but if you keep to the right when you get closer to the coaster, you'll avoid the crowd waiting for the front seat (which they ALL were). We then went over to US and did everything we wanted to do, and even had a sit down meal at lunch. We rode Mummy in the single riders line at least 4 times. It was great!

We also did this in April one year. We did everything we wanted in both parks in one day.
