1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

One day we'll make it to Cirque! And T-Rex. I know my girls would love T-Rex. I may have to put it on the list for September!

Love your pictures, as usual. Especially the silly ones, and I really like Hunter's hat!

Ann, wouldn't we love to be there right now? I know that I would! For our next trip, we're going to Rainforest Café.

Well, considering it's below zero right now, NOT including the wind chill, AND there's an additional 8 inches of snow from last night on the groung, you bet your sweet bottom I would love to be there right now!!!! :rotfl:

What?!?! NO PIZZA?

I love the look of the sampler platter. Never done T-Rex, have done Rainforest when the kids were younger. I think my son would like us to try T-Rex when we go next!

Did you get a pin with a discount? I got all excited and got online and don't see anything... I'm hoping for a small discount so we can stay onsite for those 2 days when we come meet my sister....

I'm a fan of Trex too!! I love the waffle fries and the little donut things myself!! :)))

Yeah I'm confused already about the check in but it wont stop me from eating there :rotfl:. The place looks super awesome inside and I think I have already decided what to order. The steak and waffle fries :thumbsup2 Their steaks looked yummy, then again the shrimp looks good too :rotfl:
Love the silly face photos and especially the blue Hunter
You have convinced me to go see La Nouba ! I was wondering what seating you guys had and was thinking on the blue seats but if the cheaper ones were fine we may go with them . What do you think about the seat choices ?

Hey there! MMMMM I love T-Rex! The atmosphere is AMAZING! I love the dinosaurs and the attention to detail (the wooly mammoths are very cool). We used to have a Rain Forest Cafe at the local mall, and we used to go there at least twice a month, but they shut it down and opened up an American Girl Doll Store! Your combo platter looks delicious! It definitely sounds like you had an A+ meal!

Read a couple more updates.

Hunter must have been on the left hand side of the safari vehicle. I find you get the view of the animals in that seat. I'm glad you saw the lion!

We have never eaten at Pizzafari. Tamu Tamu has been our go-to place at AK or sometimes Flame Tree BBQ. The food at Flame Tree has been hit or miss, but I love the seating and the views!

Those were some really pretty pictures of the flowers and lizard.

It is so sad that we can't get close to the Tree of Life anymore. It is such an interesting work of art.

The Festival of the Lion King show is spectacular, I LOVE the music, but my boys don't like to go to shows. :sad2:

DH and I finally got to try Trex this last trip and we absolutely loved it! We were just outside the ice cave, wishing we were inside it because it looked so cool hehehe (see what I did there?)
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun, as always! And great meals too!

What would dinner be without the 6 of you making funny faces? :rotfl2:

I have never tried T-Rex and I must admit, I am now a little intimidated by the whole check-in price. However, its still on my bucket list. It looks like a lot of fun! And those desserts - WOW! I'm proud of you for ordering that whole appetizer thingie - it looks huge. I'm sure you had a little help!

Once again another stellar vacation update!!! I love the way you describe your vacations. Makes me not only feel like I'm on vacation with you, but also like your family. Keep up the awesome trip reports!!!

I can't wait to see Cirque one day! It will be a while before that happens, but we will see!

I love getting an app sampler when out. Buffalo Wild Wings have 2 options and I LOVE them! :)

Great update!! We love Rainforest Café here in Chicago and have been to the one in DL but not WDW. I think I would try T-Rex before going back to Rainforest next time.

Mmmm your T-Rex dinner looks very good. I agree with you about the confusion with the check-in. They really should put some signs up. I had to read it twice when I saw Hunter ordered a steak! I was sure my eyes were playing tricks on me! I got that ice cream cake thing when I went in Sept! OMG!!! I was so incredibly full, but it was soooo good I forced myself to keep eating it! Best thing I have ever tasted!

I don't know why they don't have some signage. It's confusing to say the least. Your eyes weren't deceiving you....Hunter really ordered a steak. Hard to believe, I know!

The ice cream cake whatever it was was very good. It was so big that we all sampled it.

Put 'em both on your list because I highly recommend them both.

Hunter loves that hat but kept forgetting to wear it.

Holy smokes Ann! I am fussing 'cause we are supposed to get down in the teens tonight. I can't imagine it being below zero. :faint:

T-Rex would be a little boy's dream! Lots of roaring and dinos and good food!

I had a pin for some of our May dates but our stay goes over to June so it only covered part of the vacation. When they came out with the Visa deal, the % off wasn't as high but it covered all dates so I saved more money.

The new promo is supposed to be open to the general public tomorrow!

Since you have an ADR go directly to the line on the right hand side of the elephant (your right) to check-in. There's a possiblity that it won't be busy and you can go right on in.

We have always gotten the 2nd category seats and they've been really good. Honestly, though, I don't know that there's a bad seat in the theater. Much of the show takes place off the ground so even the higher seats would be good.

Sign up for the free Cirque Club. They will send out email offers. That's what got us the 25% off Category 2 seats!

Great update! :)

Thank you!

Love the Napoleon Dynamite quote. We quote that movie all the time.

I've never sat down and watched the entire movie at once but everybody else in the family has. It's one of those movies that we quote quite a bit.

Well, I guess all the little girls in the area were happy that the dinos got replace with cute dolls. ;) The combo platter was delicious! It's just right for the person who can't make up their mind on just one thing.

Read a couple more updates.

That's it, I'm knocking everbody outta the way so I can sit on the left side.

We have never eaten at Pizzafari. Tamu Tamu has been our go-to place at AK or sometimes Flame Tree BBQ. The food at Flame Tree has been hit or miss, but I love the seating and the views!

We've eaten at Flame Tree a couple of times but John (nor I) care for sitting in the heat and eating bbq.

Those were some really pretty pictures of the flowers and lizard.

Thanks!

It is so sad that we can't get close to the Tree of Life anymore. It is such an interesting work of art.

One of my favorite things to do in the park was to wander the trails underneath the tree and see all of the carvings. Now, you can't get really good views. :(

The Festival of the Lion King show is spectacular, I LOVE the music, but my boys don't like to go to shows. :sad2:

Maybe you can talk them into the "new" Festival of the Lion King when it reopens.

I caught it! ;)

We love both T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe but to me, T-Rex is a little better that RFC.

Gotta get in our funny face pictures!

I wish that they'd put some signs up near the entrance. It would be easy to hang some right over the elephant and the various lines.

The appetizer plate(s) were delicous! I alway that I'm going to order something else but go back to what I know I like.

Once again another stellar vacation update!!! I love the way you describe your vacations. Makes me not only feel like I'm on vacation with you, but also like your family. Keep up the awesome trip reports!!!

Thank You! I love reliving our trips through my reports. It makes the Disney blues a little bit easier to deal with.

I can't wait to see Cirque one day! It will be a while before that happens, but we will see!

I love getting an app sampler when out. Buffalo Wild Wings have 2 options and I LOVE them! :)

Be sure to see it while the girls are still young enough to get the kids' tickets. :thumbsup2

A Buffalo Wild Wings just opened here but it's been so crowded that we haven't tried it yet. When we do, I'm getting the appetizer sampler.

Great update!! We love Rainforest Café here in Chicago and have been to the one in DL but not WDW. I think I would try T-Rex before going back to Rainforest next time.

I'm torn between T-Rex and RFC for our next trip. We like them both but T-Rex ranks a little higher.

As some of you already know, my uncle passed away Friday morning. He was my daddy's brother. Uncle Aubrey had suffered for quite some time with heart problems, battled bouts of pneumonia and was on dialysis. My Daddy had all of those and more and passed away at just 61 years old back in 1992.

My uncle looked just like my daddy and, as I said, they had many of the same health issues. Every single time my uncle would go to the hospital, Mama would mention that fact. It brought up so many memories for my Mama and for me too. It reminded us of those long nights spent at the hospital, the holidays celebrated in the hospital room or without my daddy, the fact that daddy hated being tubed, etc.

I've spent the majority of my weekend keeping my Mama's mind off of things. We went to several stores yesterday looking for a shawl/cape for her to take on her cruise. She bought some new decorations for her front porch. We stopped and got something to eat. John and I spent a couple of hours at her house last evening. Anything to keep her from being alone.

The visitation and funeral were at a funeral home almost two hours away and we chose to just go to the funeral since visitation was in the evening. Today, we awoke to rainy cold weather and Mama made the decision that she would not go to the funeral. She is paranoid about driving in bad weather (one of my daddy's phobias that carried over to Mama) but I don't think that's the only reason that she made the decision.

I truly don't think that Mama would have made it through the funeral. I don't know if she knew this subconsiously or not but I know it. Mama called my uncle's wife and spoke with her for a while this morning and she understood Mama not wanting to get out in the bad weather. They are fine.

Everybody has their own way of dealing with death and illnesses. If Mama didn't want to go, then that's okay. If nobody else understands it, then so be it. I have to let Mama do what's best for her. Mama has also had some other issues that she's been dealing with some of which are completely understandable and some that are simply because of her worrywart self.

Okay, sorry for all the "down" talk. Let's move on to better, funner, happier talk!

Lacey and Jesse booked their Disney vacation! They will be joining us for six nights in May! We are super excited as are they. The Mickeystoontown Gang will be together in Walt Disney World again!

I could have sworn I replied to this on Friday, but I guess not.

We keep throwing T-Rex on the possibility list, but it never gets picked. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact we don't like Rainforest.

I love your nice pictures and your silly pictures...you guys crack me up.

The steak looks awfully yummy.

:dance3::dance3::dance3: that Lacey and Jesse will be joining you.

Lisa, once again, my thoughts are with you and your family. I'm sorry to hear about the emotions your mama is facing with this loss. How nice that you are spending time with her and trying to distract her.

That is great news about Lacey and Jesse joining you for your spring trip! You all have such fun together.
