I would like your input and suggestions please.

We have 1 dinner to eat at Disney.

Either at Downtown Disney or a hotel. (We will not be going to any parks.)

Where is your fave TS restaurant between the two?

If you only had 1 dinner at Disney, where would YOU go?

I know this is a tough question....

TIA :wave2:

I'd have to say either California Grill in the Contemporary or Yachtsman's Steakhouse in the Yacht club. For downtown, I'd say Raglan Road.

I vote for Ohana or Boma! Two of our Must Dos every trip.

If you want a signature resturant the Cali Grill
If not then
The Wave @ CR
Maya Grill @ CRS
Capt Grill @ YC
Kona Cafe @ Poly
Grand Fl Cafe @ Grand
Boma @ AKL
They are all good. You can't go wrong with any of them in my opinion.

O'hana's at the Poly. Just curious, why aren't you going to one of the parks?

Boma at AKL or Kona at Poly.

Have to give a shout to Raglan Road at DTD as well.

I'd say hotel resturant Jiko or Kona.

Downtown I would choose Raglan Road.

Good luck deciding!!

Resort: First choice would be Flying Fish; second would be Citricos

DTD: First choice would be Ragland Road; second would be Wolfgang Puck's Cafe

Thank you all...a lot of common places!

I forgot to mention we had eaten at Calf Grill before. With all the places at Disney, I'd like to try somewhere else....although....it's been quite a few years since we DID eat there. I remember it being on the upscale when we were there. Is it still the same way?

So, looks like Raglan Rd is the most popular at DTD. I've never heard of it...then again, we haven't been there for a few years either (hence my question).

Isn't Coral Reef in Epcot? I thought maybe in the Land? I think it was a place we were thinking of eating when we were there in '07?

As for the resorts, it's a pretty close race between Ohana (3 votes), Kona (3), Boma, WCC and Yachtsmans Steakhouse with 2.

I know of Flying Fish & Jiko, but haven't heard of the others :confused3

I will check the menus on allearsnet and present to the family for consideration.

And, to answer:
Just curious, why aren't you going to one of the parks?

This is our plan: This day we will be getting off our cruise and we don't have a plan for this day. (DH wanted to 'wing it' ) So, I thought we could go to Universal after driving back from the Port of Tampa since it's a 'free' day (as in, we are AP holders and parking is free and admission is in our AP). Our favorites have single rider lines and we did this last year for a day and it worked great! Plus, it wouldn't hurt to get a peek at Harry Potter ;)

After the weekend, we are actually going to Universal for 5 nights, so we'd rather not stay and eat there. DS wanted to check out the Lego store at DTD since it's been a few years since he was there. I thought since we were over in Disney's area, we could eat somewhere over there...ya know, somewhere different. :thumbsup2 That's why I was inquiring about DTD or resort dining. We'll probably get a DTD hotel and spend the night there before driving up to Ocala, FL to my FIL's for the weekend.

Thanks for you input...I really appreciate it since it seems like forever since we've been to Disney to eat!

Citricos! It's a signature restaurant in the GF with French/Spanish/Italian Mediterranean type flavors.

Raglan Road may not have been there when you were last at DTD. It's an Irish pub/restaurant. It sells wonderful Irish dishes, and it has great entertainment while you eat; an Irish dancer, and an Irish band who play lovely Irish music. It's a really nice place to go and the food and service has always been excellent.

OHANA!!! yum yum yum and it's such a fun dining experience. And then could always watch Wishes after dinner from the Poly beach.

I would go to one of the AKL restaurants. I just love this resort though and the food's pretty good too.
