Looking for some advice or help on a rather tricky issue that has cropped up. We currently have a 1BR villa for Saratoga Springs for 3 weeks next June, there are only 3 of us- DW and DD aged 12. However, we have friends in Canada -a couple, that are intending to come down to WDW for 4 nights during our 3 week break to meet us. I was looking at whether they would be able to stay with us in our villa for the 4 nights, obviously they would just buy a 4 or 5 day park ticket each. I now realise that the SSR 1BR villa only accommodate 4 so it was not possible however, I was initially told that if the room or villa slept 5 it was simply a case of adding the 2 friends names to the booking for the 4 nights in question. If that is the case I was considering changing to perhaps a 1BR at OKW or somewhere else that has an occupancy rate of 5. However, I have since been given some conflicting advice. I have now been told that if I wanted to add this couple to the booking ( if I was to move to a villa that sleeps 5 ) I would have to add them for the full 3 weeks and the 2 friends would have to buy a 21 day pass even if they were only there 5 days !?!? Essentially, I was told that all names on the booking have to have the same tickets. ( I don't think you could not even by a 21 day pass in Canada )

Has anyone had any experience of this ? Basically having guests staying for a part of your holiday at your accommodation ? Not looking to breach occupancy levels or sneak anyone in under the radar but surely there is a sensible viable solution ?

Cheers

The only way you can do it is to add them once you arrive at the resort.

They can then have their own tickets but they wouldn't get any DDP credits.

If you add them before they will have to have the same package as you. 21 day tickets however they will get credits for the full 21 nights too if you are on free dining which may come in handy depending on your plans.

Might need to look at the difference in cost between the 2 types of ticket and how much they will spend on food if they don't have the DDP.

Thanks, I was hoping it would be as simple as turning up at the resort and adding 2 names with effect ?/6/2014 for 4 nights. This is what I was told at first and it was by someone in the US. It was a UK member of staff (Complete Orlando)that subsequently told me I would have to add them for the whole 21 days. Maybe they were trying to sell me two 21 day tickets that I don't really need. :(

They are only staying 4 nights and not bothered about DDP, it will just be their park hopper tickets in Canada they need to buy.

I guess I will just say nothing further at the UK end and just add two names when I arrive.

:thumbsup2
