1/6/2007 Early Roll Call...Anyone Else Going???

I just bought pirate costumes for DBF and DS for Halloween/Pirate night. pirate: pirate: They have yet to see them. I can't wait to see if they like them!

I found a princess dress for DD, it isn't a Disney Princess dress, but she got an Ariel crown to wear with it. It came with her Happy Meal today. princess:

And I bought myself a Snow White dress. I just love it, I couldn't resist!

I'm sorry your friends won't be able to make it, the kids must be so disappointed... but you still have friends that love Disney as much as you do even though you haven't met them yet... us! :grouphug:
Thanks... I know that meeting all of you will be great. I know we'll have a great time.

So, now my friend called me and told me that she has an appointment with the school principle to see if she would allow her to take the time away from school. Let's see what happens.

That is too cool. I really think I might get a pirate costume for DH and I... but I keep thinking that we may be the only ones dressed up. I've heard that sometimes no one really gets dressed up for this. (I personally think it would be a lot of fun and laughs). :rotfl2:

On our most recent cruise on September 2, there were a good amount of people dressed up for pirate night. Some went all out and had full costumes. Some just had shirts and hats, but, if you dress up, you will not be alone.

Hi All,

Just wanted to show you all the door sign I put together. Do you like?
DisneyDoorSign-1.jpg

As for Pirate night we will all be dressed. On our last cruise my Dw and I showed up dressed and the people at our table quickly excused themselves and came back dressed, too. They had been afraid most people would not, but as it turned out probably 1/3 or more people at our dinner seating did.
I'M with Captain Jack on this one. I think people do not dress as much on the Wonder but on both of our Magic cruises it was quite popular.

NYAna--Great sign. I've never done one so it looks like time to do so. You've inspired me!!

Okay, now I'm really going to get costumes. Thanks!

Oh Ana, please get dressed up!

Since I can't find any women pirate costumes that I like, I think I will be be going for the I'm-Elizabeth-Swann-I-like-to-hang-with-pirates look. :lovestruc pirate:

Now I am pumped about doing this! Soleilmagie... were did you buy the costume for your DBF and yours? I found this one for me...

Have you seen other elizabeth swann costumes out there? And I think I'm going to get this one for my DH...

I got this one for both DBF and DS

It included the shirt, the vest and the belts (and the boot covers for the adult costume). I bought one at Sears and one at Zellers (similar to Target). We already had hats and accessories.

I haven't looked for Elizabeth Swann costumes yet, since I was looking for a lady pirate costume at first. I'll let you know what I find.

We are leaving for WDW in three months... :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Wow, its getting close, there must be more than just us going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still have to work on a couple of pics for ya captainjack

i was asst. manager at a really great costume rental shop for a couple of years. i eventually quit b/c you can only work 2 jobs for so long. we made most of the costumes in the store, we costumed many theatre groups all around the dallas/fort worth area and even as far as college station. however, halloween was still a really big season for us and we would order some costumes for sale or ones we would put our personal improvments on and rent them. i did the retail ordering and here a few sites (listed above) of some of the ones we ordered from the most, and don't only do wholesale (i think). you can either find whole costumes, pieces, or accessories at most of these sites. if you're looking for elizabeth swann dresses, many costume sites have a historical section and usually colonial is the best bet.

i just made our hotel reservation for the night before at the radisson in cape canaveral. we would love to go to pleasure island the night before, and we still may, but thought it would be nice of having the option to just go straight to the hotel and be close to port in the morning. disney property hotels were pretty expensive, being a friday night and if we stayed there we would feel obligated to experience something disney no matter how tired we are.

rental car prices didn't look so good either, many of them are on a "fall" special right now. i may see if "winter" ones come out soon.

capt jack - did you get my email with pics in it?

4 days till online ressies!!!

Were there 2 pictures? One from engagement and one from when you went to see Pirates 2?

Last payment is made, we are ready for excursions/Palo/Flounders bookings! :cool1: :woohoo: :cheer2:

DH and I just went over all the excursions last night and have narrowed it down a bit but haven't chosen which ones yet. I hope to finalize tonight. Which nights are you all planning for Palo?

there were the 2 pics, thanks capt jack!

we have decided on the doubloon and snorkel sail and i think the beach bash.

not sure when we'll try to do palo, but know we are going to try to do brunch and dinner. we'll be online at 2am our time for those ressies!

hope all is well with all of you!

We're hoping to book Palo for Wednesday night, but I won't get up in the middle of the night just for that! I'm sleeping! :faint:

Booking will be in Eastern time right? We can book as of 12:01am on the 8th right?

If I remember correctly, it is more like 12:01 AM Pacific time, so 3:01 AM for us! :faint:
