1/6/2007 Early Roll Call...Anyone Else Going???

Lilofan...you're the best! I haven't had to do a darn thing...now I'm going to Palo for dinner, brunch, and apparently a surprise...maybe a....dayspa surprise? :rolleyes1

Thinking of renting a jeep and doing my own thing on St. Martin. Any comments? Someone on the general disboard said that was an awesome way to go.

Right now I'm prepping by getting pirate garb together and working out so I can eat everything on the ship without sinking it. :yay:

I just catched our thread as it was ready to fall of page 1!

Hi Everybody,

We'll be on this cruise too. It will be our first 7 day cruise! It's myself, DW and our three kids; DS9, DS7, and DD7.

As I glanced through this thread, I see that there a couple people who have gone back to school. I'm in that boat with you too (no pun intended). I'm doing full-time pharmacy school and working a couple part-time jobs. My wife is a nurse and she also picks up some extra shifts to help put me through school. We are looking forward to this cruise like you would not believe! (Then again, maybe you would :thumbsup2 )

Hope to get to meet you there!

Mike

we are one of thOse couples in school. in fact, i just pulled an all-nighter in order to turn in a design project today. i wish it would have been a door sign! (i'm finding it really hard to type right now..) 2 more classes then home for a nap. can we go on the cruise tomorrow?

i wouldn't miss palo brunch or dinner for anything! they are both fantastic, especially the brunch but i am a big fan of brunch in general.

have a great day!

Welcome cruisin'Mike!
party: :welcome: party:

I'll add your family to our group!

You say this will be your first 7 nights cruise (ours too!). Have you been on many cruises before?

NYAna,

Have you been affected by today's airplane crash? You wrote recently you were from Manhattan... I hope you (and the people around you) are okay... :worried:

Did you know that if everyone comes to the meet with their kids and friends, we will be more than 65? And even more might join us in the next months!

Just booked this past Tuesday. Four of us --me, DW, DD8 and DS7. This is our eighth DCL cruise, ninth overall, and we have a Med cruise in the hopper. Haven't been on a cruise since the Eastbound Repo in August 05, so we are going through withdrawal. Looking forward to getting back to blue waters and warm breezes!!!!!

We've done three 3-day cruises and a 4-day, all on DCL. We also did a Carnival 4 day cruise back when we were in college for Spring Break. We're looking forward to some of the different things that are offered on the Magic, plus the chance to see St. Martin, and St. Thomas/St. John. We're trying to decide on excursions now.

Hi All... Hi Soleilmagie,

I am alright. Thanks for checking. Weird thing is that I was on that same block were the plane hit this past Saturday!

Sorry I haven't been on here for a bit. I have been so busy with school and work that I am lucky I even remember to breath!

Well, chat with you all later. WELCOME to all the newbies! :wave2:

I followed the live cruise thread from the Repo. Must have been quite an experience... lucky you! And the Med coming up... :thumbsup2

I'm curious... where does your nickname come from? We have a city back here name Trois-Rivières, which could be translated by 3 rivers, so it made me wonder...

3rivers -- the Monongahela, the Allegheny and the Ohio, also known as the Steel City, the home of the 5 time Super Bowl champions, Pittsburgh.

Wow! Is it that many already?

Okay, I finally got around to reserving my excursions and Palo. :yay:

Palo Brunch on Monday
Palo Dinner on Wednesday

It seems many of us will be in Palo Wednesday night!

A little off topic, but I saw POTC2 (for the second time) yesterday. I was all alone in the theater! I had been alone with the kids or DBF before, but all alone, that was a first! A private projection! I thought it was kind of cool... popcorn::

did you feel like a star?

i was in austin this weekend for my friend's baby shower. she is due the end of dec. i'n hoping the baby comes on the early side of things so she can make it to the wedding. i think this particular holiday season is going to be crazier than most, and will make the time go by very quickly until the cruise.

welcome aboard those of you that are new to our thread

Is anyone going to the parks before or after the cruise? I think we are going for one night and then we'll head home.

I think I've already posted this, but we are going both before (arriving on January 1st) and after (leaving on the 14th), both times staying at the All-Star Music. I've never been to WDW at that time of year, so I can't wait to see the decorations (at least what's left!)... :santa:

Does anyone know if the ticket rates are going up in January? And if they do, if you buy a pass now, do you pay the difference when you get there?
