1/4/15 Western on the Magic

I am doing the same thing! Cruise excitement is Competing with Christmas excitement. We are new to cruising so the anticipation is exacerbating my thoughts. Would also like to do the FE program but, being new, have no idea how to get started.

Normally it's easy to find a recent navigator from a cruise on this board, but I guess since DCL just added the Western cruise back to its Magic itinerary it's all new. I went on this cruise in 2006, but I have heard rumors of changes in the schedule as well as the wholes ship has been renovated. If anyone sees a new navigator posted (and I have gone over to recent cruise reports to ask people to post), can you put a link to their thread here?

If you are Disney cruising for the first time, I suggest you don't study the navigators and just go and experience it. Me, however, I am super-focused on making sure I experience all the stuff I wasn't able to do before! This is also the first time we won't have kids in diapers so I'll have a bit more freedom with being able to leave the kids in the clubs without making reservations. For those of you with littlest ones, I can say enough good things about the nursery! Not just a day care; those little ones participate in the Magic of Disney too. One of my most magical moments was on the Dream two years ago. My youngest, then 2, wanted "her club" just like her big brothers, so we ended up putting her in the nursery just to make her feel like a "big kid" (never tried the nursery until our 4th cruise). I thought it was just a nursery, asked her "what did you do today?" She'd respond "I played with Snow White" and rattled off more characters. I thought "how cute, she's playing with dolls". Finally on the last night we get a portfolio of all of the crafts she did. I had tears in my eyes when I saw the photos--the characters had all come to visit the littlest cruisers!! My daughter was right that she "played" with Snow White and all the rest, we had photos! It was so cute, but she looked at me like I was a bit crazy, like "Mom, calm down, I TOLD you I was playing with Snow White and everyone else!!"

We just booked the cruise yesterday, this will be our third Disney cruise and have never done the FE, can someone explain how this is done. I have a 11 yo and 7 yo, which will turn 8 on the cruise.

Hey everyone!
So I know I am coming into this form late in the game but I really want to be a part of the fish extenders! My name is Elizabeth Anne but everyone calls me EA. My grandmother and I will be the ones on this cruise! It is our first time on a Disney Cruise and we are very excited!!! We will be on this cruise to celebrate me graduating from college! I have no clue how fish extenders work or what we need to do so please give me any advice or information I need. Like how many gifts need to be made for our group? Also is there a Facebook group I need to join?
Thanks!
EA

I'm interested in the Fish Extender. Have you heard from anyone else? We just booked the cruise so I'm not sure if it is to late to be part of it or not??

We have never done the FE, but do we setup a meet and greet on board the first day to exchange information? We are exited about the opportunity to share.
