i am definately interested and was just informed that my brother is coming as well. Any one have any tips to meet up with singles besides the luncheon now that my brother is sharing a room with I dont want people to think we are a "couple" I thought about making a shirt that said "HES MY BROTHER"

Hi,

I just found this site today! It sounds like you've all cruised a bit! This will be our families first disney cruise. We have been to DW many times since our honeymoon, but can not wait to cruise on the Magic!

I have read most of the post, but haven't seen a lot of kids listed yet. We have 3 boys who will be 12,11 and 8 - we waited to go when they would all bein the oceaneer club together. Are there many more kids in their age range on this board?

Also, are the t-shirts and the gift exchange for a reunion or group, or are they for anyone on this board?

It seems so far away, but yet I am soooo excited!! The boys just want to be sure there are other kds their age on board and so do we.

We will be driving from the Cleveland area and I could leave tomorrow!

Just read on the main DCL board that they are upping the minimum age for the Stack to 15... read it on this thread.

We are going to have one disappointed 14 year old on our hands...DD's BF (Kelley's DD) will be 14, my DD will be 15. The other teens in our group will be 15 and 16 (nearly 17)....oh, this is SO not going to be good.

Is there a way Kelley can contact them and see if as part of a "family" they all stay together? Also last weekend we were watching the travel channel I believe and they had 2 hour show about the Magic and the Wonder. The kids thought it looked really cool and still have no idea about what's going on. Kris was really interested. I just hope that they can all have lots of fun together.

ive been all over the stack board and i dont think this is a fact just speculation in one of the threads someone emailed DCL and didnt get any info about it being fact. So Hopefully not I know alot of kids looking foward to it.

As far as kids go I do believe quite a few of us have some on this thread my son is going with us he is 11 and my daughter will be staying home (her choice) We are newbies as well just did one cruise and then I find the board wish I would have found them before our first cruise So I wil be a DIS newbie with you.

We took our first Disney cruise on the Magic and not eastern on a maiden voyage to a new port! We went Western and had a blast... we read the Passporter.. I did anyway... cover to cover... and still I know there are things we found we REALLY LOVED and things we would do differently next time.

However, I will say that we sailed RCCL this past summer on a couples weekend and it was NOT the same... so realize that you are having your first cruising experience on a Disney ship .... my kids don't even want to go to WDW anymore! They would rather wait a year and go on a cruise!!!

We are all excited for Christmas to come because that means just a week till we cruise!!! Yahooo!

We have a 14 year old son that is majorly excited to hang out in the teen area this time... however my 10 year old may be grouped with your 11 and 12 year old... but SHE is a girl named Brandi.

I will say you will be sooo happy to have days at sea... and you WILL be hooked. If you haven't read the Passporters guide to Disney cruising then google Passporter.. they have an online site and you could probably find a book on Amazon or Ebay for less if you like.... but it is worth the read to figure out what kind of cruisers you are and what you expect of this vacation... especially when planning flying/driving, cruise insurance... we did it the first time and did NOT this time.. personal choice only.

You will still have PLENTY of surprises... and don't know if this helps but my DD was so excited about the upcoming trip that we made a paper loop string and every day a different kid tore off a loop... finally it was the day before leaving and we had the last loop... I scrapbooked it!

Hey all, just checking in here.....yes, Lampy here official leader of the "Turkeyday gang" from 03, 05 and 05. Eldest DD is off to college this fall and only has the weekend off (Thanksgiving)so looks like we will be on TIHS sailing! This wil be out 7th on DCL......so I'll catch up on the posts and check in during the week!!!

DH found out last week that he was losing his job. He loved that job, and where he did it. It's one of those things that you know going into ministry...your job depends on how much $$$ other people decide to give. Sooooo, being the compulsive planner that I am this has thrown me for a loopty loop!
I told him that I have no intention of giving up this cruise. We may seriously have to scale back...perhaps even change room locations to 2 inside rooms. It that's the case, it's better to do that than to not have any rooms. It may mean no wine package and no excursions...just be-bopping around the ports. The one thing that I will refuse to skimp on is tips. So, please send us some pixie dust for contractor work and/or a new job. Anybody have any video or editing work they need done?

O.K., anyone staying at WDW or somewhere else a couple of days before, last November we stayed at the raddison @port, tried to book the ron jon yesterday and they are sold out. Looks like we will either fly down NY eve or day......
