1/28/2013 5 - Night Bahamian Cruise, Miami FL Who's going?

May one ask what the AEP is? I presume this is for travel agents. Are there are some activities specifically for TAs?

Meanwhile, please join us at the Disboards meet, at the Promenade Lounge on deck 3. At least that way all the TAs have a place to meet and compare notes! ;)

See You Real Soon!
Richard

AEP = Agent Education Program. Sometimes they're on land, sometimes at sea. This is my first, and they're for agents only.

We'll have 8am conference seminars each day in Diversions or Animator's depending on the day. And I'm sure we'll have other activities TBA. We have late dining with PTAPT rotation.

I plan to be at the meet!

I'm assuming TA=travel agent since we are talking agents? Not some sort of 'secret agent', lol.

All these acronyms, it feels like Wheel Of Fortune in here.

Just wondering where the FE people are from?
We are from 'Ancaster' Ontario (Canada, about 45min from Toronto).

Now if we were secret agents we couldn't come right out and say it, could we?? The name is Glowing ... GetGlowing .... I like my Champagne straight up ... come see me at the tasting on the At Sea day! :lmao:

In CLT, waiting for flight to continue on to FLL. I'm extremely glad to be out of the northeast's bitter cold! Tomorrow... the Wonder (Part 1)!
See y'all in 5 days (if not sooner)!

If the 3 other families on the FE list could pm me your last name, I have a gift idea I might be able to complete before we go.

No worries if you don't.

:beach::beach::beach:

I just tried to send you a private message, but I don't have enough posts. So I'm going to post a couple of random things to get enough. So sorry for the extra posts!

I am so excited for this trip I couldn't sleep last night. For those on the FE exchange, I hope you like what we came up with, we had a blast getting everything together.:cheer2:

It looks like there will be quite a few Tasting Seminars, if you are interested in any of them (you can find them in the navigators that were posted this week), go to guest services as soon as you board to book it. With all these crazy party solo Travel Agents on board :woohoo:, they are likely to fill up.

"Crazy party solo Travel Agents" would be a great name if we formed a band (or worse, decided to do karaoke together) on board! The tastings are a great idea. My DH and I did a mixology class on the Dream in November and had a blast!

It seems our room assignment has changed to 1041.
It said one thing on my email confirmation and another when I finished the online check-in.
Please update the FE list.
THANKS!!

Got it! If it changes again when you get there, try to make it to the meet, or hopefully I'll have a white board up on my door, 7102, for anyone who needs to make a change.

What's the likelihood of being switched rooms?
I have a bunch of room labels made and I left the label maker at the office.
(I wasn't going to bring it anyway)

I wouldn't think it's likely by now, but I suppose it could happen. Maybe it's more likely if you were a GTY to begin with? :confused3

Just found this thread. Have been looking on Cruise Critic, not much action there.

I am a seasoned cruiser, bur bringing my 8 year old grandneice for her first cruise:flower3:

Cannot wait to meet everyone.

WELCOME! There will be a DISboards meet onboard at 3 p.m. on Monday, if you'd like to attend. You might meet some compatible people, but perhaps your grandniece might meet some friends as well.

We're meeting at the PROMENADE LOUNGE on deck 3, amidships between two of the main dining rooms, Triton and Parrot Cay. This should give you time to settle into your stateroom, but be before the lifeboat drill at 4.

If you'd like to have your name added to the Roll Call (currently found on page 4), contact RedxPanda, who is sort of acting as the godmother of this mob.:thumbsup2

See You Real Soon! (Like in 3 days!) :cool1:

Crazy party solo Travel Agents"... AWESOME!!! LOL:cool1::cool1:

Just wanted to give a heartfelt thanks to our FE friends and Kristina for organizing it here, my girls loved it!

Having never been on a DCL, I was embarrassed that our FE was so large and stuck out into the narrow hallway. It did make finding our door very easy, lol.

The best family vacation so far!!

Hope everyone had a safe trip home :thumbsup2

Hi everybody -- just wanted to say I made it home last night fine, although we had to land in a snow and the pilot made 3-4 passes of the runway before it was clear enough to actually land. But we did, and safely. The 4" of snow at home (and on the roads) was a huge change from the weather in Miami and the Caribbean!

Thanks especially to Richard & Jackie for the hospitality!

Great meeting you and your family! Jacky and I had fun, too.

Glad you made it home safely!

All the best, :hippie:
