1/24/2013 4 - Night Bahamian Cruise, Miami FL

This is just a quick weekend trip for us so we're flying in the morning of the 24th so I don't need to use up any extra vacation time. In the back if my mind I'm worried about potential weather problems so if something comes up in the last few days we'll have to change plans. Hopefully everything will be fine.

Weather Issues is what made me decide to go a day before. Delays was the 2nd reason.

My sister and her family have also join us.

Nope. My 10 year-old is more like a 13-14 year-old. She's a bit more sophisticated than her years. She doesn't ruin it for her little sister though. I expect my older one to try and get in to the Teen Club - Edge? Any other 10-11 year old girls going on this ship?

Just a quick correction as well it is lrylke (first letter "L" not "I" and no extra I in the middle) also mine are both DD not DS. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question though - has anyone ordered a birthday cake before? I was thinking of getting the Mickey Mouse cake for my DD3 who will turn 4 on 1/31. I thought it would be neat to celebrate a little on the ship.

Welcome aboard to all the new cruisers!Last year on our cruise I had a 1inch binder with several folders in it that I used to keep all my info together and organized.We had 2 different hotels,cruise,airline tickets,and rental car papers, plus misc. "stuff" and navigators I aqquired!I'm curious to know how everyone else keeps things organized?

No excursions for us, just going to explore Key West on our own. I've found a few places I want to get some key lime pie from. Will stay onboard Nassau day and enjoy the ship. CC day is all about Serenity Bay.

For anybody flying into FLL I found this great company called SAS from people here on the DIS. Very reputable and easy to communicate with. Cheapest I found also.

While I am not up for a full fledged FE, I was wondering if anyone might be interested in some kind of small, low key exchange. perhaps personalized magnets or something. Small enough to pack and nothing to stress out about. throwin' it out there.

Thanks as well. We are flying into FLL from Philadelphia and spending the night before the cruise in South Beach. I just booked SAS today to take us from FLL to the hotel and then from the port back to the airport. We'll just cab it from the hotel to the port.

I'm sure they will. I've seen many TRs with big groups all at the same table. You just have to have all your cabins connected in the DCL system.

I am trying to play catch up with all the planning and shirts and autograph books. It is too close to the cruise to plan for the FE now. I would have loved to do it. Just a few more days left!!!! Can't wait.

We are decorating our door"low key"so magnets would add some blingIf we end up doing it,count us in.

Yes you are right,I soooo hope someone posts them when they get back!I've thought about getting on their "Dis meet" and suggesting(more like pleading)that someone does that for us when they get back.
