That's funny because I do the same thing at my house. It's a good thing I can clean really quick when I need too!!!! :goodvibes

Yes tax time is just around the corner. I don't know about anybody else, but with 4 kids we look forward to that as we usually get quite a bit back. That always pays off those holiday Credit cards and anything else I just couldn't live without if you know what I mean! ;-)

Julie,
we have 4 kids too! 3 boys 1 girl boy girl boy boy...10/9/6 and 2..how about you? Only the 10 and 2 yr old will be on this trip with me

We have 2 girls, 2 boys. (g-17, b-16, b-4, g-3) Only the 2 little ones will be with us in January. It isn't really cool to hang out with Mom/Step Dad I guess. Oh well....cheaper for me!! My 16 yr old son is staying with his Dad right now as he thinks I am an unfair Mom...because I have rules I guess. Also it is pretty convienient since the girlfriend is 2 houses down from his Dad's. Oh well when he is an adult someday he will realize the mistake he made. I just concentrate more on the 3 still with me!

So you said your 2 yr son and and 10 yr old son will be with you? Have they cruised b4? None of us have. I hope the kids like the kids club so I can have some adult time. :)

Unfortunately, I do have to work...so I am not able to post much during the week, but I EXPECT , no DEMAND that yall post away in my absence! HAHAHA

Sometimes I wished I worked instead of chasing toddlers all day.........oh well most of the time it is worth it and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Julie,
You are very lucky to be able to stay at home. I think my kids might would drive me nuts if I had to stay home with them all day, but I still think you are lucky to have that option. I work, because I want what I want when I want it! LOL If I did not work, I would not be able to travel as I like. I have polled the kids numerous times, and they all say they want me to work too! HAHA I do not know if I should be hurt or happy! LOL

I like to travel too so with me being a stay at home Mom that can be quite tricky. I am a wonderful bargain hunter and have lots of links to great deals. I have always been lucky enough to find incredible deals and we all have airline mileage cards so eventually we all get free tickets! Usually about 1-2 times per year my husband gets to travel for business with all expenses paid. I usually tag along with the only expense being a few airline tickets and our food. We also have relatives scattered all over and stay with them when possible.
I missed my oldest 2 kids growing up and said I wanted to stay home with the younger 2 and so I did. Now the only problem is that in 2 years they will both be in school. I keep telling my DH that I just might need a few more years of no work to finally get some time to myself!!! I do not know if he bought it or not. ;)

Boy, it's amazing the conversations I've missed this week! Maybe once my son's fall carnival this weekend is over, I can get my 8 posts into double digits (too many school volunteer hours).

On a medical tangent, I wanted to urge you all to make sure that your tetnus shots are up to date (every 10 years). When I went in for my physical last week, the doctor lectured me because I haven't had one since 1987. She had a patient die from lock jaw after getting tetnus from a cactus needle. I had no idea that it was something you could still die from, so I'm passing the info on to friends and family.

Okay, so on that note, as you can tell, I'm the more serious one in the family. My husband is the one with the quick sense of humor (luckily my kids have inherited that from him)!

Michael, many pages back you wondered what we were all doing between now. Although I wish I could say, like Melissa and you, that we will be going on a pre-cruise cruise, all we'll be doing is hanging around here celebrating all the holidays and several birthdays. (A new house might be in the works as well, which means getting this one ready to sell. Too much stress to think about during the holidays!)

14 weeks--is that all?? Maybe I'd better be better off forgetting everything else and just start packing!

Just wanted you all to know that I'm still around! :wave2:

Karin:
Great to hear from you. :wave2: Enjoy the holiday and birthday celebrations. I envy you not for the house-selling endeavour.

We've told ourselves that we WILL be on a more low-key status AFTER Thanksgiving. I'll have some extra work that I'll be doing from home so that's when the crunch time for deadlines will come for me. Oh, beating this lousy cold that I picked up is high on the priority list now as well. Trips to DL may have to suffer these next few months. :sad1:

Take care, all! Chat with you again soon!
Michael

We haven't had the chance to meet yet, but we will be on the 1/22/06 cruise too. We have been on many vacations, but this will be our first cruise.

A pleasure, Julie! Absolutely love cruising; is there anything better? Oh, yeah! Connect it with a trip to WDW!!!!!

Michael

I was just browsing the web and noticed we were getting burried without any new posts so I thought I'd post and bring us back up front for any new mates looking for our cruise!!! :earsboy:

Melissa, I just wanted to wish you a safe and fun sailing on your new Eastern itinerary! If you have time, update us from the ship on how it's going! If we can afford another Disney cruise, we'll most likely take the Eastern. I look forward to your report!

Karin

P.S. Good morning other fellow 1/22 cruisers! :sunny: (though it's actually a foggy morning here)

Not too long ago we received a letter from DCL. The important part said:

"Therefore, we are pleased to announce that Disney Cruise Line Land & Sea vacation packages commencing on or after January 1, 2006, will include a full 7-Day Magic Your Way ticket with the Park Hopper option regardless of the number of nights spent at the Disney Resorts."

Now that was a nice surprise! I figure that to be a savings of around $800. We have the option of purchasing the Water Park and No Expiration options also. I haven't seen this discussed anywhere on the DIS boards. Does anyone know if this is the new standard for Land & Sea packages?
