1/2 price gift certificates

I ordered my Pat O'Brian GC's on Sunday and just received them today. Pretty fast!

Two $25 paper GC's, expiration date of 05/31/04 clearly noted on front. Back notes "only one coupon per check" and "cannot be combined with any other discount".

Looks like my family of 4 will be paying on two checks!

Prince Eric1, can you tell me what restrictions "The Kitchen" gift certificate has? Just curious because Pat O'Brien's didn't mention anything about alcohol exclusions (just that the GC didn't cover gratuity or tax), and was wondering the same for the Kitchen. Do I sound like a lush?

Thanks!

What happens if your check isn't as much as the certificate? (I know, not likely!:p)

I would assume that you would not get change back. Even if you were to order something less than that amount you could always get an appetizer or a nice dessert.

When you click on the link for the Hard Rock it says "The Hard Rock Cafe has a full bar and is open only to ages 21 and higher." Is there a seperate bar area or are they talking about the whole place. I want to take my daughters 17 and 15 and the certificates won't work if they can't go.

We eat there everytime we hit the Universal parks--we have 2 teenages and 2 toddlers. Its just like a regualr resturant, they tables and they do have a bar area. You should be just fine eating lunch or dinner there :D

Yes, but we're all friends anyway.:teeth: The back of the kitchen says good for lunch hours 11-4 Monday-friday, 12-4 sat and sun. Special events and holidays excluded, no ccash value and does not cover gratuity or tax. can not be used with any other discount, limit one certificate per party of four.

For anyone who may have ordered before expirations were discovered I called back today and was given the number to a lady at a radio station that is in charge of the certificates. I left a message on the answering machine to find out if they can be returned or extended. I will let you know what i find out. I hope they can extend them because I do want them. If not, I'll have to buy some closer to the time of my trip and CALL first for expiration dates.

I received my order today - Hard Rock - 2 $25 certificates- expire 7/31.

Pastamore - 1 - $50 expires 5/31 - too early for our 6/5 evening arrival.

I have tried emailing thru the "tell us what you think" link on the website and it is looping and will not go thru.

I have emailed the tech support for the site and they insist they have no problem. I called my ISP and there is no problem there and ALL my other mail is fine. I forwarded my letter to the tech support people(since I could email them just fine) asking them to send it on to maryweber@ccorlando.com but have not heard back.

I have tried to call the number on the letter that came with my GC's and no one answers. Have left messages and no one returns calls.

VERY frustrating. As they do not list an expiration, they can not expect consumers to know what one, if it exists, might be.

I guess Monday I will try looking up numbers for the Orlando radio stations that promote this, or try the BBB of Orlando.

Oh well.....

goldcupmom & prince eric - if the company does not reimburse you for your certificates, I am SURE you can find people on this board who will buy them from you. My trip is in May, and I've been planning on buying a Pastamore, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.........I'm waiting to see if NBA City comes up. Did anyone notice they didn't post a new one this past Monday? Or did I miss it?

Pm me if you want to sell your pastamore gc!Im going down twice in the next 2 months!

I was given a name of Amanda Molly who works at a radio station, 407-916-8135 to call by the lady who I talked to at the 18663119806 number. The lady states that Amanda works for clear channel and handles this. I left a message and do not expect a call back until next week with the weekend, but I will let you know Goldcup.

Can anyone tell me if the Hard Rock Cafe or Margaritaville have take out service? We are always looking for snacks after the parks at night and I would like to order some appetisers to take back to our room. I already received the HRC gcs that I ordered and it doesn't say "dine in only" on them. I may order more if we can get take out.

Prince Eric and others:

I emailed each radio station and explained. Also explained that their contact person email did not work.

Anyway. .. Received email from Mary Weber. If you mail the cert with explanation and when you are going, they will replace with one valid for when you are there.

Address is:
Mary Weber
2500 Maitland Center Parkway
Suite 401
Maitland, FL 32751

please send to my attention

HTH! Works for me! All I wanted was a Cert I could use!

Thank you for posting the address, goldcupmom.

I had ordered the Pastamoré certificates too but they have not arrived yet. The expiration date that has been posted here will be way before my trip. It's good to know that there's the option of exchanging them.

I just got a phone call from the fulfillment center. The only GC's that go to 7/31 currently are the Kitchen and Hard Rock. All others expire 5/31 or before. She said they are working on getting them with expiration dates 6 mo out, but not having any luck. I also asked about Margaritaville - she said that one is available only about once a month. Guess I'll keep checking and hope it has a usable date.

No problems to exchange, tho.

# she called from was 330-628-9837

I received a call today from the lady who stated she was going to contact another person to get the certificates extended. I may just go ahead and mail them to the address you were provide though Goldcup. Thanks for posting this.

I really must tell you all that though it was minorly frustrating getting these that expire before my trip, the people who I have spoken to have been extremely friendly and helpful. I guess the only thing I would say is, as previously stated, call for expiration dates before you buy. Other than that, these still appear to be a great deal from very professional, helpful people.

Okay, I will try not to bore you all with any more updates. I just spoke again with Amanda Molly and she states that she is going to mail me a letter for each of my gift certificates to attach to them to extend the dates. She states I do not need to mail them to Mary Webber, as they do not want customers to have the hastle. Again, these people have been very friendly and helpful. I love being able to post how nice people are.

That is great PriceEric, I know you were worried about it. They really do need to make the expiration dates known BEFORE people purchase them!
