Trying to decide weather or not its worth getting tickets to go to Aquatica.
On the last day of our trip we will have until 2:00 that day before we need to leave Orlando. Aquatica does not open until 10:00am so we would only have 4 hrs there. What would you do?
If not any other ideas on how to spend that day until 2:00?
Welcome any and all suggestions. :):grouphug:

Personally, I would say no. I wouldn't want to go and be rushed. Plus go from a water park to a plane??(not sure how you are traveling).

Maybe taking a leisure day shopping for last minutes souvies. Miniature golf. I-drive has some touristy things to do that wouldn't take that long. Not sure what you are doing for the rest of your vacation, but I think a half day at Sea World, Universal, or Disney (if you are spending any time at any of those parks) repeating your favorite attractions would be better than trying to fit in a whole park in such a short time.

On the last day of our trip our plan doesn't leave until almost 5 PM so we plan on spending a few hours at Seaworld when it opens, maybe feed the dolphins.

We thought of going to Aquatica on the last day but think it might be a bit rushed.

Thanks for your help all. We may give it a shot for the 1/2 day. We are only driving down to Venice and need to be there for dinner (2.5 hrs ride) so no big deal to just hop in the car and go right from the park. We cant wait!:cheer2:

Half-day would let you hit most of the rides and get a feel for the place, at least if you enter right at opening. There aren't that many rides, and crowds are supposed to be kept reasonable, so you could get a lot done, just wouldn't have much time to relax and unwind.

BTW, Aquatica has changing facilites, and even provides free soap, shampoo and conditioner in the showers, if you felt like changing before your drive.

Your decision may also be influenced by the cost of a day pass. Which, by the way, I have not seen anywhere. What is the cost?

The cost of a day pass at Aquatica is easily accessed on the park's website. A logical place to look. Where else would one look expecting to see it without including the park's own site?

This is not aimed strictly at you, but this post is an example of many posts in this forum lately that ask for information that is plainly available if people took two seconds to look for it. I went to Aquatica's website, and with just a couple of clicks and with extreme ease I found the cost of admission and the page to purchase tickets.

I love being able to help people here by sharing my own personal experiences at the parks, and I've benefited from other people's thoughts. I think discussion forums are great places to share unique ideas, information, and experiences. However, on this forum more than any other I increasingly feel like people are just using it so someone else will do their research for them.

FYI: For ticket prices, including one day tickets, go to Aquaticabyseaworld.com and follow the link on the main page called "Begin Purchase."

adult $38.95, child 3-9 $32.95

Florida discount available as are combo tickets with SW and annual passes for AQ only in combo with another park at this time

Don't forget $10 to park

And $ for a locker, $10 as I recall with a $3 gift card back when you turn in the key... More for a large and towel rental if desired.

I don't know how 'crowd control' will get later but yesterday was the first mid 80's day sisnce opening and from the looks of things atop the slides the parking laot was nearly full. Most lines where in the 15 minute range but liks any park there could be surges where lemming felt compelled to get on line because it was long rather than walk to the next attraction. I would say that if it were much more full you could forget the wave pools tho. They are small and were crowded yesterday.
