Sorry to hear about your dogs!! That's a bummer. Is there no one that could dog sit for you? We have no pets so I never have to worry about that but I can imagine how stressful it is trying to find something to do with them this short of notice.

As for pirate night, we will all coordinate still I assume... only Tucker will be "in costume" but that it fine. He's a baby and will have no clue! pirate:

I have him scheduled for Flounder's for our Palo dinner and brunch but I'm still torn whether to book him at night (esp Pirate night) just b/c I don't want to put a damper on Taylor's fun having to take the baby to bed but at the same time, if I don't need it, why pay for it? Then again, what if Taylor ends up wanting to be in the club all night... Jason and I could have the night to ourselves! Does anyone know how easy it is to cancel or if there is usually availability without pre-booking?

Just wanted to say "hi". This will be our first cruise, and we so excited that it is finally here! We have 3 kids ages 10 (DS), 8 (DD) and 6 (DD). We are also spending 3 days at WDW after at BWV, and one night before at POR. Maybe we'll bump into each other.:cool1:

Welcome, Lucky's Mom! I saw your post on short or long sleeves at dinner and was going to invite you over here, but I see you found us! This is our first cruise, too, and we have a DD7 1/2 and a DD4 (turning four in four days!). We are cruising with 16 other family members, including 9 year old and 11 year old boy cousins and a 6 year old girl cousin. Your kids should find plenty of pals in this group!

Welcome aboard :)

We have cruised a couple times before!!
First time with 4 kids and 2 inlaws

Not long to go now! :wizard: :wizard: :cool1:

We leave next Friday!

Oh my gosh... we leave in like 4 days after today!!!

Lucky'smom -- welcome here! I have a DS9 and DD7.5 who would love to meet your children I'm sure. Also, I am planning short sleeves with a long sleeve shirt or light jacket/sweater for evening. I recall on Carnival last year being chilly in the dining room and FREEZING in the show. Plus out on deck after dinner it was windy in January last year. We ended up grabbing the robes from our staterooms and putting them on over our formals to go up on deck last year.

Our dog situation is worked out -- our backup kennel had room but at a price I don't want to think about now.

What time is everyone going to Palo? We are there on Nassau night at 9 p.m. and for brunch on Sea day at 11:30.

Several weeks ago We Saw the Nemo show!
all I can say is AWESOME ;) ;) ;) :cool1:

Can't wait! It's hard to say if I am more excited about the cruise or the two nights at the Poly afterwards! I can't wait to see the new things at WDW, but I am sure I will be blown away by the cruise. Curious to see which the family enjoys more. . .

We leave in seven days! :cool1:

We also have brunch at 11:30, I think. I have dinner ressies for Pirate night, but they are not for DH and me but for my in-laws. They want to do dinner and I was up at 3 am. Turns out they made ressies for Nassau night (they were still available at 6 am when DMIL got up), so they might get to go twice!

You're so organized! :rotfl2:

Here is our full rundown:

Mary (39) and Thad (41), with Emily (7) and Amy (4) - we're in 6062

Also coming with us (in surrounding cabins - you might see the door signs):

DMIL and DFIL - Anne and Jack
DH's sister and her family - Ashley, Doug, Patrick (13) and Evan (10)
DH's cousin and family - Frank, Michelle, Arthur (9) and Maggie (6) - they have cruised DCL once before
Another DH cousin and family - Kathryn, David, Will (11?) and Alex (girl-13)
Another DH cousin and daughter - Martha and Emily (15?)

That's it so far! :rotfl2: We should have all aspects of the kids' clubs well-represented. I guess if any other family members want to come, they'd better hurry! :lmao:

Thanks for organizing, Peter! I'll have to print my cheat sheet!

Wow great job Peter on putting that all together. We have a decent sized group going. Hopefully we'll all be able to meet up at the same time! Any suggestions on a time/place? :confused3

We have Palo dinner at 6:00 on Nassau night b/c just IN CASE we have AP that night, I didn't want to miss the show. Thanks to PETER :thumbsup2 , we have brunch for 10:30.

Shelly, glad you got your dogs taken care of! At least that's one less thing to worry about.

Luckysmom - I am mainly packing short sleeved shirts. Well... a mixture of things I guess. Nothing too heavy and definately a lightweight jacket for everyone just in case.

I have all of Taylor's packing done and just picked up everything from the cleaners today (so half of Jason's is already hanging nicely pressed) I will finish everything else next Tuesday and Wednesday so house cleaning can be done on Thursday before we leave. I hate coming home to a messy house!

:goodvibes I Love the Cheat Sheet!!!!!:goodvibes

Just a little more info about us:
My husband's name is Ken
DD 10 is Lindsey
and DD 6 (actually 5 unitl our day at sea) is Emma

This is our first Disney cruise and the First time ever cruising for the kids!

Would love to get to meet everyone!

Didn't get Palo ressies ... wanted to eat dinner with our girls. Never thought of brunch until too late!!!!!

We are early seating for dinner. We tend to eat very light breakfasts and early lunches so I thought early seating would be good for us. When Ken and I cruised in the past we did late but thought we would give early a try this time!

BTW - I had to take Lindsey to the Dr. today. She has strep throat ... better now than next week when we are at Disney! Now hopefully none of the rest of us will get it! ANYWAYS ... I asked about seasickness and the Dr. said a 1/2 of a Bonine should be fine for the kids!

Can't believe we leave for WDW in 5 DAYS!!!!!:woohoo:

Jodi - sorry to hear about Lindsey! If it were me, I might ask my dr for an antibiotic to take prophylactically knowing you're going on vacation! Luckily my kids got sick the week of Christmas, I had it last week and we're all over it now!

How does your dd, Emma, feel about going to the kids club? Taylor (who is 7) says she can't wait but I still don't know if she will REALLY go and if so, that much.

Did your pediatrician recommend 1/2 tablet of regular adult Bonine?

My doctors office won't give a prescription in advance:( I tried! We were all sick the week before Christmas too so we thought we were home free! Hopefully it stops with Lindsey!

Emma says she is excited to go to the kids club, but I am not so sure either. She tends to want the security of Mom and Dad if given a choice. We will see. Meeting one or two friends would certainly help! I just hope the first time she goes she clicks with some other little girls!

Yes, the pediatrician recommended 1/2 tablet of regular Bonine. I personally have taken Bonine before and had a good experience with it! I am taking it at WDW too so I can have all the fun I want on whatever ride I want without the fear of getting motion sick! We are only giving it to the girls for the cruise!

Congrats - StitchandPooh'sMom! I became a veteran recently too and decided I talked too much as well :lmao:

Peter - thanks for the great cheat sheet! My DH is Dave, by the way.

I have our town car coming at 10 to arrive at the port around 11. :cheer2:

Am spending the weekend :laundy: and packing and :surfweb:! What's everyone else up to? (I bet I can guess!)

I feel the same way, Mary. I am pretty excited about staying at the Poly for the 4 nights before this trip. We never thought we'd be able to stay deluxe, but when we chose a category 6 for our cruise the Poly became a choice for the land portion. I was thrilled!!
