Finally doing the doc dance!

Of course my TA messed up a few things with our wdw portion of the trip. She has Jacob listed as the older one and Timmy listed as the two year old. Jacob's name will now be on Timmy key to the world card. She did not put through any of our requests at the hotel. I am diabetic, so I need a sharps container. Both kids and I have asthma so we need a room that has not been smoked in. We had requested a MK view. Wanted our anniversary and Timmy's birthday noted. We had a ressie for the Raddison at the port that was already being held with a credit card. I had booked this on my own. She cancelled that ressie and made a new one so she could get the commision. I am so upset that I am ready to cry. I will have to call tomorrow and speak to her supervisor and demand that she correct everything. The cruise looks ok, but I am not sure if any of our requests were made there either. When I called Disney they told me they could make no changes that everything needs to go through our TA. I hope the supervisor can help. The TA is off tomorrow and we will be away over the weekend. I will never being using this TA again!

Enough of my rant! I just have to keep telling myself that this time next week we will be at the raddison getting ready to sail the next morning!

GrandmaD - We're neighbors!! We live in Clearwater. Rachel goes to school in St. Pete and I work in St. Pete. Small world - huh?

I'm finally at the one week mark since we will leave our house at 8:00 a.m. next Thursday morning. I'm going to try to make a sign for our car about us going on the cruise so if any of you on the DCL bus heading towards the port see us on the Beeline Expressway - WAVE!!!! We'll be in the silver Infiniti!

I am giddy with anticapation! I pretty much know what I am packing for DH, the boy, and I. The girls are tougher...

A week from this momment, we will be finishing up our breakfast at Chef Mickey's and on our way to the port. I cant beleive it. WOO HOO!!!

Heather... I would fax all your room requests to the hotel directly. I would start with my TA messed everything up.... (((((((((hugs))))))))))) I will see if I can dig up the CR's fax number for you.

Do you also need a fridge for your insulin? I know DCL will switch out the beverage cooler with a fridge if you need one, and WDW is good about getting you one also. That is of course if they know about it (stupid dumb TA)

I'm so sorry you had such an awful time with your TA. Our TA was not helpful but not as bad. I have been sending messages on the Disney site to Disney to confirm all our arrangements since the TA would not help. Disney has been very responsive to my messages and I now feel better about the ressie. Just sign on to Disney cruise and select the contact us- send a detailed message. They will check everything and see what they can do. Or call back to Disney and get a different person.
We have Asthma also with some of my allergies severe. I will have a small nebulizer with me. People do not realize how a smoking room can impact Asthma. Disney is usually very helpful on medical needs.

Kathy we will be on the road to DCL at the same time- we will be looking for you.

Even with all the trials of getting our ressies- This has been so much fun getting ready to go. Can not wait

Well, I called my TA's supervisor and she had it corrected in a matter of minutes. Thank goodness! now for the other bad news. My husband's check engine light came on while taking Timmy to school today. It is going to be $3500 to fix it! Could not have come at a worse time. We are now trying to decide if we should just get a small used car for him insteaqd of putting all that money into his current one. It has 140, 000 on it. All I can say is thank goodness for credit cards! I sure hope this is the end of our problems!

You have some week! I am sorry another problem has come up. It may be for the best though. At 140,000 it is better to know now there is a problem than when you are far from home or somewhere you can not get help. My last van was like that-lots of miles and repairs. When it finally went, I was crushed.
I guess it was natures way of making me make a decision(buy another) that I had been putting off to long.
What you need is a Disney Cruise with Happy faces of friends. Your in luck cause next week you will be on one!

I just had to pop in and say......... I GOT OUR ILLUMNATIONS CRUISE FOR DECEMBER!!! A harder ticket to get than Breakfast at Cindys!!!

:::::: Yawn :::::: I have to wake up gosh darn early for the next couple of days to try and get a better day for us. The cruise I booked was for Sunday Dec 18th, but I would prefer mon or tues for cruising LOL But just like with Cindys... you have to work your itinerary around when your lucky enough to get it!

Now I have an hour before the kids have to get for school..... not enough time to go back to bed, and I am too tired to do anything but veg. LOL

Oscarmoraz: The BOGO martinis are on Castaway Cay at the Head's Up bar from 10-1. I will stop by there for sure in between my excursions. The banana boat ride should be really fun after visiting Head's Up!

No pirate's costumes for us. We will be wearing our Tampa Bay Bucs shirts for our pirate outfits for the party.

As for the door signs, Sierra and I have been coloring Disney print outs. She is having agreat time doing this. I know each time we go to the cabin her face will light up when she sees her art...lol So no worries on your door signs...it's all for the children anyway!

Any idea if the kids are under the age requirement, if they can go on the excursions with the adults..banana boat and and oversized water bikes?

Then we pretty much just gruop the clip art on the sheet of paper, as to how we want it and print it out? Gosh, I have a busy weekend...lol. I am sure all of us do!

Some of the clipart can be saved by doing(control button on the pc(Ctrl) then the letter a button) control a to select it then control c to copy

I am using microsoft publisher that came on my computer downstairs, which is also now the kids computer, in the family room. SO all my sign making is done late late late at night! Sucks!

The School Schmool idea came from the clip art itself. I spent hours hunting down clip art andsaving it to my computer.... to do that... right click on the image, selct save as.... and then remember where you put it. LOL Then, often you can just drag the image to the piece your working on.... I also found disney fonts and downloaded them too.

I suggest.... going to either the T shrt thread of the cruise sign thread and do a search of just that thread. TO search a thread open it, and on the top of the thread, right hand side there is a search this thread button... select it, and put in fonts. That will bring up all the posts that mention fonts, and from there you can find the link for them. Sorry I cant directly link you, when I need it I search it LOL

Search is one of the best features on the DIS. Esp advanced search title only, if your looking for a partitcular tidbit. Search it by title and 99% of the hits will be exactly what you want. If you just do a regular search (title and post) you have to wade thru alot more junk

Greg and Aimee have made so many signs we will have to change them 2x's a day to have them all on the door. Greg is counting the days until the cruise and his birthday. His costume is homemade. Aimee doesn't want to be a pirate- she wants to be Mickeys girlfriend-Minnie. Kimberly has her costume ready and I am still thinking about it. Everyday will be so much fun.
All the stores at Disney and downtown Disney have Pirate stuff if you are going over there. They even have a Johnny Depp Pirate doll. I got Greg a Pirate Mickey Treasure map there last week.

WooHoo Laura! Now I know you can squeeze 'the pirate costume' in as normal conversation...by telling him you are getting excited also...lmao!

It's so great when the men get excited! And the whole time we have always been...guess it's true woman, are far more mature...lmao!

We are down to 4 days...

Has anyone been watching the weather channel re: tropical update? There is another system off of Africa, but for the most part I think we are clear!

Awe Pricessh, I am so sorry this happened to you! If you don’t mind me asking…who did you use? After it is all said and done maybe report the TA to the BBB! Also, you could try planetfeedback.com to assist you in writing a letter!

Monday is a new day and you still have 4 days to get the matter resolved…though I know it is so time consuming. It is so sad when people in sales use their clients for the almighty dollar!

But I am confident you will get it worked out in time, just sorry you have to experience this!
