Yea Vonda! So glad to hear your doc got there ok.

Gotta finish up today and get packed. Work the next 5 nights (Fri - Tue.) Sleep part of Wed. Make sure to go over the list and head out to Florida EARLY Thursday morning. Be in Kissimmee by dinner time that afternoon. ( Cracker Barrel for last of my sweet tea before cruising)

Rae ... Middle Age Plump ... Too funny. Sounds better than Middle Age Spread. Nice to know there will be a few of us on board.

Was thinking that we may need a sign or something for our Sail A Way Party ... BUT on second thought, just look for the huggy bunch, deck 10 Port Side. Do you suppose we will be getting a lot of envious looks from those that didn't get with the DIS?

We (Art & I BOTH) Can't wait for next Tuesday to come.
He decided to take off Wednesday too and we will get a jump start on the drive. Art decided that we need to take it slow and stop more often then we used to ... No problem, I got out the Cracker Barrel & Bob Evans maps out!

Anyone else want to see the finale of Big Brother ... gotta make sure we are in our hotel room in front of the TV next Tuesday.

Mike & Kathy ... Check your E-mail for our cell #'s so we can call each other en-route. Other than doing some needlework on the drive down, plan on resting my paw (to ease the tendonitis and carpal ... and not agrivate the cyst thingy). Did Katey have you hoping yesterday? or were you packing, cause you were a little MIA from the boards.

Karen ... I told AshLee about Riker and she wooooooof, woooowl!

Elaine ... How is your Dad (and Mom) making out? Still in our thoughts and prayers.

Just read the last several posts. My dad looks soo... much better. I even had thoughts of not going on the cruise at one point. Still has the tubes but he is talking and sat out of the bed yesterday. Even had the nurse call my mom and bring his shaving stuff down. My father is a very gentle and kind man. I have never heard him say an unkind word about anyone his whole life. I have tried to talk my parents into taking a cruise before, but no luck. I just know he would enjoy it. Although he would miss his "baby" terribly. They have a miniature long haired daschound (sp?) that he thinks the light shines out of. He is looking forward to when he gets into a regular room so mom can bring her up to see him. HE has been in the hospital several times the last few months so Heide knows the hosptial well. As soon as mom walks in the front doors her tail wags and she is a "dog on a mission" Find papa! Our hospital has pet therapy a couple of nights a week so I guess that is why they let mom bring her in. Anyway, sorry to ramble on.
My uncle who was visiting decided to go back early, today!> I think he misses his wife. So now I will get serious about my "list" Got all the docs filled out last night. Bought William a nice pair of pants , shirt and belt. He put them on and still says no way. I don't know what I am going to do with him... He really is a neat boy who gives us no trouble but he hates to put anything vaguely uncomfortable on. Will go back to Pennys and see if they have an elastic waist dress pants!!! LOL

I was just checking out the Port Canaveral Cam and see that the "Wonder" is in port. Just making me want the next week to go by faster. Well, we are in single digits, so that's good.

Elaine - Glad your dad is doing good. Those prayers really work!!! He will be very uncomfortable for a few weeks. (Like a herd of elephants sitting on his chest.)

Elaine ... That is such geat news about your Dad. Know he's felling beter when he wants to look "spiffy" and can't wait to see his "short hairy baby". You do know that kids like that are one of the things that have been proven to be healty for us. They give us something that we have to look after and lower our blood pressures ... and the "kisses" don't hurt either! Maybe once your son sees everyone and gets into the "dinner mood" he'll change his mind about getting dessed.

YOU GUYS ... If you are going to Disney after the cruise, check out the latest news on this site. Seems Disney is bringing back early entry and ALSO adding more character sighting around the parks.

Elaine - I am so glad your dad is doing great. Will keep him in my prayers until he home with your mom and his baby.

7 more days until we all meet at the Radisson!! Lots to do in the mean time. Including GOLF!!! Can you believe it - he has golf games planned starting Sunday!!!! I have this long list of stuff that needs doing and he's going to go play golf. Guess he will have to give up the "Golf Nap" just to help me get the list done.

Papa - can we get your cell phone number too? I will send you ours??? That way we can look like the sprint guy on TV as we walk around the Radisson pool - "Can you See Me Now???" LOL

Well, I have been working on several projects today. One of them, stuff to Good Will. Yuk. I hate sorting thru stuff. The best project is the one with the picture frame - Dennis fishing in Alaska with his bud's. A collage to hang on the wall.

Are your phone compatible for use outside of the US? I have to check if his is.

No work today. Spent the day volenteering at The Governor's Cup Golf Tourney. Our Docs were the big sponsors so they closed the office and had everyone working at the golf course. There was a pro golfer from the LPGA on each foursome. And the money raised is to establish a shelter for victims of domestic violence. Now only four more work days to go.

Hurricanes: I don't care if the Magic never pulls into a port. We could stay docked at Port Canaveral for all I care. 7 days of no work, no cooking, no dishes, no laundry, fun with friends and family, relaxing and catching a buzz. No worries!

Just how do we keep up while on the ship ... do they have Tebo or whatever that thing is that records your shows for later viewing! LOL

Well believe it or not I worked reallllllllly late tonite and still ended up bringing some home. As speak, Art is helping by stamping SSA #'s on about 6 o 8 inches of medical records for me so I can try and finish off his disability app tomorrow. (And I wonder why my paw hurts.) Ended up with 5 just like it yesterday and was the only one in the office today with boss who had to leave early ... got nothing done until after hours. I know, boohoo to me! But the good news is that a week tonite I'll be lounging on the bed in Emporia VA on the way to our cruise.

Gotta go do some Daily Activity reports for tomorrow and at the same time I've got Survivor on .... can women multitask or what!

Hi everyone! I had to watch Survivor tonight. It looks like it's going to be a good one!

Good news...I found DS bow tie!

I made my appt for a pedicure, and reserved a spot for our DD (Disney Dog) at the kennel today. I have a few last min things to pick up this weekend, as well as cleaning out the car.

I finally starting gathering stuff to be packed. Somehow, I feel better when I don't cram it into the suitcase till the last minute. I did make the big decision--no clothes are making the trip unless they provide a loose, comfortable fit.

Ave--Don't know about Rae, but I can sing "Ave Maria" in Latin--though you really don't want to hear me sing! Just wondering, is there an "Ave Maria" that ISN'T in Latin????? There was a mom at my sons' school named Ave, and I never gave a thought about there being problems with people pronouncing it. I guess I met her before I ever saw her name in print.

As for hurricane weather--we've been on the Magic in some bad winds. The nice thing is that the ship can get out of the way, if necessary. We'll just have to take it as it comes.

We leave for Florida a week from today--hooray!

Att: All Palo's Cruisears! Here is the plan:
Current Participants: 30 (15 couples)
Tables needed: 5
Hostesses: Rellingtwin(Mary), Twinave(Ave),PowerAlabama(Chrystina), @GoofyNut(Cathy), DonnaMD(Donna)
Plan A:
Each Hostess will be given an index card with the names of 2 other couples with thier cabin numbers. This will be taken care of at the Radisson on Friday night.
Hostess will get on the Palo's line 1/2 hour before reservations open. (Approx 12:30)
Each Hostess will make a reservation for Monday 10:30 for your group of 6.
Then each hostess will call thier tablemates' cabins and leave a message that brunch has been confirmed, and any additional info needed. (Time change etc)
Plan B:
If for some reason the Disney people have a problem with this then we will do the following:
Each Hostess will make reservations for themselves, them go to a house phone and call the other couples on thier card to inform them that Palo's Brunch are now up to them. I don't see this happening but we don't want to wait till the Sail-Away Party to pass the info and chance someone missing out.

Rikersmom, You're right, seeing it in print messes up the poor person trying to pronounce it. I never had too much of a problem in my mostly Catholic/Jewish community. But when I moved to Fl. thing were a little tough. I even gave up for a while and changed to my middle name, Regina. But finally decided that if I could take the time to learn someones name, they could take the time to learn mine. Later, Ave'

Just finishing last minute packing before we leave for our 9/21/02 cruise joining up with Windermere on the second leg of their back to back cruises.

We will try to keep the Magic in one piece for you folks on the 9/28/02. Hope to see some of you at the Radisson on that Saturday morning. Wish we were doing back to back along with you.

For those of you that join Cruisetoberfest II on 10/11/03 we should see you then.
