ANd did you read that the husband of the quads is in the reserves and is awaiting deployment. The husband & wife talked about him taking a hardship, but they decided that with other families losing thier husbands and fathers for the fight for freedom, it was his duty to go. And that he is currently in deployment limbo (?), which meant that he is not working and getting a small stipend from the govt while he waits. And she had to quit work to be hospitalized and won't be able to work now. THey have someone who is trying to round up donations for them.
Also, my best friend from college had 3 pregnancies. They have a five year old and two sets of twins, one identical and one fraternal. No twins in either family, and no fertility drugs! I donated large quatities of alcohol to her!
Friends of ours will be on Oprah April 22nd. In July, they were sitting in a restaurant eating lunch in the small town where our church is, and right at noon, a lady from that town decided to kill herself and punish the restaurant who wouldn't hire her, so she waited till the restaurant was full and the door was clear of vehicles and drove her car through the front door of the restaurant killing our friend's 4 yr old daughter, also a 32 yr old mother of two and seriously injuring 8 including our friend's and their other two children. It happened as church let out, and a bunch of us ran across the street to help the victims, give CPR, lift the car off of the mother that died, etc. THey are going on Oprah for "Incredible acts of forgiveness". Immediately after the accident, they forgave this woman (whose family still goes to our church). They forgave her and they meant it. And it is not denial. It is really forgiveness. They still have days when they get angry or sad, and they still have physical struggles, but they truly forgive her and pray she turns her life around. You guys might want to right the date in your calendars. It is really an amazing story. They are better folks than me I can tell you that.
Anyway...Mike - Strawberries (fruit) cancels out ice cream! The same way Diet Coke cancels out the extra butter on the popcorn!
Alas, now that we are getting grandbaby and several other things are going on around here, we may only get to do the one week in 2003. I don't know yet.
I am debating with myself on wheather or not to go into the operating room with her. It really depends on her doctor and rules. "Gulp" I have been known to bend the heck out of rules for visitiors in the NICU and I just hope someone, somewhere will let me in. (I think)
and take care of my babies.
