Does any one have a favorite place to stay when they go to
Disneyland?
On property. After that, it's more like take your pick. All three hotels are within easy to middle walking distance of both parks. Think of DL as a concentrated version of WDW, the hotels, DTD and the parks are all on one big resort property.
Grand Californian, is sort of a combination of Wilderness Lodge in construction/layout, but the theming is more Frank Lloyd Wright-insipred than anything. It's also the closest to both parks, even having its own entrance to Cali Adventure.
The classic Disneyland Hotel is the next nearest, a very typical highrise premier hotel like any other across the country. Big upside here is it's closest to the big family buffet, Goofy's Kitchen, which is their analogue to Chef Mickey's.
The Paradise Pier is the furthest away, but still walkable, and was originially built as the Pacific hotel and catered to what was then a huge Asian crowd, before Disney built parks out their way. It's since dropped a lot of the Asian bent, though it still has a quality Japanese restaurant. It also has a nice family style restaurant with a very good breakfast buffet too.
You can't go wrong with any of the three, really.
