WDWLVR --thank you for the pictures....oh how I wish I were there. Especially now...the Christmas holidays...I love all the decorations. My husband wants to do the Segway tour....did you like it? Would you do it again? Where did the Segway tour take you?

Monika - we love the Christmas holidays at WDW. There is so much to see!

This Segway tour was at Ft. Wilderness. It took us around Ft. Wilderness including over into one of the loops (love seeing how people decorate over there for the holidays). There was a stop at the horse barn and then we took the exercise path all the way over to Wilderness Lodge. On the way back we took the off road way back to Ft. Wilderness. We've done both this Segway tour and the one at Epcot. We really prefer the Ft. Wilderness one and yes we would do it again!

I know you loved the Segway Tour. I still have Harry's Segway in the office at home, still plugged in and keeping the battery life up. They are so so much fun to glide around on. We sure have gotten our money's worth out of ours.


I was going to post a pic of the tree on the Island but I think it was taken from DD's camera and I have not downloaded her pics as yet.

But I do have a snowman scene they have next to the tree.

Also will post a pic of the "crab races" on CC - it was the most hilarious event I have seen that they have the little ones so far. There were four heats and the top 3 got to go to the finals. Each time these crabs would be let loose from a bucket and whichever crab got oto the circle finish first was the winner. We never laughed so hard. Very much fun.

Also we went to a session of how to make a gingerbread house. That was loads of fun. I am posting a pic of one of our houses. When we left STudio Sea after making the gingerbread house, we were laughing and my DD said something to me and it made me jerk and the gingerbread house went up into the air and we were walking by the DVC booth and it went all over the DVC desk and Michael.

Had we had a movie video of that, it would surely have won the $10,000 for AFV. We could never re-enact the event. So much for the gingerbread house(s).

I totally missed the monorail Xmas tree at the Contemporary - unless they put it up after we left. You would think I would notice that thing. It's pretty neat.

It was in the new gift shop that is in the middle of the 4th floor atrium. The one with the big Mickey ears. We have the monorail and one of the Contemporary models so it caught our eye.

Haven,t been on for a few days. Been blowing snow. It can stop anytime. I should be out there now we have had about 8 more inches today and it,s still snowing.
Kay those are great pictures. Just about now we would to be on Castaway .
Last week Nanc and I called Saratoga Springs to make our pre cruise days and after . We are going down on the 15 of Sept and returning the 26th In Feb we will call Member Services and change to OKW.So we will be staying at OKW six days before and one day after.
Mary its sounds like you and Mark had a great time at the Boardwalk.
After watching the the travel channel the other night it was Christmas at Disney. Nanc and I both said we want to do it. It was beautiful.

Funny thing is we visited that area when we were down because we wanted to check out the construction. We even went in that gift shop and commented on how neat the Mickey ears looked. Still totally missed it - go figure

We have the monorail too. Monorail red and the Contemporary, Spaceship Earth, the Poly and the GF. We put it up around our tree every year. A lot of people like to put up trains around their tree, well this is our version.

Hubby and I also talked this weekend and we have decided to extend our vacation after the cruise and we will stay at the Yacht Club for 3 nights. We figure it will be a theme, cruise = boat = yacht club which is boat themed = I am a dork but it's still fun.

hey guys - those with more than one train, make a platform, tiered, and have both rotate the tree. I have done that before and it is awesome. oen train goes one way and another goes the other way. When my son was young, we would do that.

well, it is getting in the 60's here today through, I think, Tuesday - or was it Thursday. I don't remember. Out with the sweaters and turtle neck shirts. Nothing like the snow that many are getting.


With the high price of living in Florida, I think I would rather put up with snow a couple of months out of the year............... Ugh!!!

finally, I will go to work today - not - paid work - but still work at the hospital. It is very intense work but fun at the same time. I am going to have to start thinking of working for $$'s soon.

Well, this one last week of work until our offices close until the new year! Yippee. Hope everyone in the east is surviving, looks miserable. We are at a whopping 18 degrees this morning. More storms headed our way.

I will take your "cold" over our cold any day. It's around 25 degrees and we got lots of snow over the weekend. Amanda shoveled the driveway yesterday and said she is feeling it today.

Well I just finished my big project here at work that has been consuming all my energies for the past two months. Hopefully the report will go out tommorrow and I can kiss it goodbye. I also am finally fully staffed so now I can go back to doing my job.

I am so ready to cruise now.

So glad you are almost done with your work project! Work can sometimes interfere with our cruising habits and planning, lol.

Yes, everyone is happy I am home! And I am so glad I put the tree up back on Thanksgiving weekend. Just hobbling from sofa to chair to bed but I so enjoy looking at the Christmas Tree!

The next three days are Secret Santa days in our office. I've got the president as who I have to buy for and I'm struggling. I've got today covered but that is it. Guess I'll be doing some more shopping after work.

Hope today finds everyone in warmer weather. I know Linda and others are still blanketed in snow flurries. I just can't imagine that right now.

Cool here but don't know what the temp is. Probbly around 60 or so. The sun is out, tho, and it will get a little warmer later on.

I was pretty busy yesterday afternoon, as I booked the ABD trip, Once Upon a Fairytale. I am so excited about that. Been thinking about it for a while and talking and calling and figuring out whether I should use points or cash.

Well, the date is June 21st and it can't come quick enough. Don't want to wish the days away 'cause then the trip will go by fast.

I think there was someone else on the thread that was doing this trip. I can't remember who it was. But I think they were going in May and got early booking. Sorry I can't remember who it was. I'll go back later today and find out.
