Mary,
Thanks. I forgot about that since I usually use the link on the first page. Our stateroom is 2100. And this year I am sure about that.

It looks like I finally have our stateroom problem straightened out. DVC had us in 8588--but the cruise line internet site showed 8512. When the DVC CM called the cruise line today--the cruise line also had us in 8588. Then they discovered that some supervisor, had changed the room without discussing it with anyone at the Cruise Line or DVC--or making any explanatory remarks on the record! No one knew why. Eventually the supervisor called DVC and gave some explanation--which I didn't understand-- but I think he did some sort computer adjustment (put someone else in our room) which then flipped us into a different room. (this is kind of scary!) Anyway, he re-did things and now we are in 8594--right next door to our daughter--instead of at the other end of the ship. The cruise line site shows that number now too! :-) Very happy things worked out. So glad I checked the cruise line site! What a GREAT suggestion that was! If I hadn't, goodness only knows how long it would have been before the mix-up was discovered.

The CM, Linda, was lovely--extremely helpful! She said she worked on Saturday and it was chaotic but NOT as bad as last year! Now, if I can get them to fix the name/spelling errors, I'll be all set.

After almost an hour waiting and dealing with a rude representative I was still just happy that I got through and would be sailing once again. Today I check our reservation online and realize that after spelling my nephews name 4 times he still spelled it wrong. Is this something I really need to worry about? Whom should I contact to get it fixed? I don't want to pay or get there and they say he can't go because they added an extra letter in his last name. :confused3

no, they won't say that.

I don't think the spelling of my name has been right too many times.

You can click on "contact" at the botton of the online page and tell them to correct it or you can call and they will correct it.

I had to actually call today for a change on mine also.

Some people haven't learned the keyboard yet. :rotfl2:

Thanks Kay! The way they say you have to make sure you have stuff right it just amazed me that they still got it wrong. And get this...they spelled Timika, Maceo, Ahja, Jhana, Rheya, Jorgina and Xavian right but got Graham (they spelled it Gramham) wrong. Go figure!

yep, go figure - I have never used my prior married name of "burdick" - well, a couple of cruises back, they somehow picked it up and spelled it "burdik" and it took the universe to even take it off.

I don't try to figure anymore - Guess if I was getting paid minimal wage, I wouldn't worry about a correct spelling all the time either.

On this reservation, DVC had Linda as the member booking and I had to change that. Hey, maybe I better tell Linda that she bought the extra 250 points and owes all that money. Now wouldn't that be a hoot - LOL

For those that get the Travel Channel, especially first time cruisers, there is a great show starting at 8 pm Eastern, 7pm Central. Cruising Do's and Don'ts shows a lot of shots of the Wonder. Enjoy!

If you are reading this past that time check your listings as they often re-run it again later in the evening.

now, Mary - you know that doesn't take first over "dancin w/the stars".

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hello to all!

I now recovered from the booking experience and getting more and more excited about this trip. Looking at past reports on the website and all the cool things you all did, I can't wait. But I guess I will have to, right?! I have already confirmed a studio at the Boardwalk Villas starting the Tuesday prior. My sister (and cruise companion) will join me on Thursday. We will most definitely be coming to the meet the day before. Now I have to start thinking about which restaurants I want to book for the 5 nights prior to the cruise. Where I eat is always one of my top priorities when I am at the World! The Flying Fish and Le Cellier will be at least two. I have to think about the others. I guess I have plenty of time. I can't book the restaurants until March anyway.
Have a good night!! :wave2:

Kay - true but that is what DVR's and VCR's are for. So you can watch one thing and tape something else. :)

mohrt2 - if it makes you feel any better this was Member Cruise booking #5 for me and I was still a nervous wreck until it was booked. Thankfully 3 of those times we had the chat room open and it really helps to support each other.

but, Mary - I have 3 Tivo's - each one has already 2 programs being taped.

I'll just have to have HD put in - then I'll be able to Tivo more - :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I ended up taking one show off and that worked for tonight.

Hey, that's my problem for the night :3dglasses :3dglasses

and you know, Mary - I have another DVR and two tape recorders hooked up to my large screen TV and haven't used them in about 3 years.

wonder how much electricity they use - and I don't need that extra expense, I guess

I watched the cruise do's and don'ts tonight and so did the kids. They yelled Disney Ship everytime they saw it.

Hubby also recognized Clayton too. Clayton made my husband laugh quite a few times on board.

So far it has been a really good week.
