way cool, Dan - 150 more points would have gotten you the cruise free !!! :thumbsup2 I am very happy I did it. Tho I think I went totally insane that that moment. :rotfl2: I didn't wake up until I got home

MORE POINTS

Idon't known if i told anybody but when we got back to OKW from the cruise nac and I started talking and wondering if they would offer the same points deal here so we we over to Saratoga Spings too the office to ask. Jenna our club rep said yes so we bought 110 and got the 100 bonus points.
We thought why keep using out of pocket money. We have been coming dow to the World twice for the past few years. Now that we are both retired we can really enjoy them.

I know it sounds crazy but I think I am going to try to get the same stateroom we had this year, we really liked it.

We are trying for a Cat 7 followed by Cat 6, Cat 5, and anything 8-10.

I am getting so excited.

I wish call in was tomorrow so we could find out if we all got on. Oh well guess we'll have to exercise some patience (something I'm not always good at). :)

Not crazy at all. I know several people who always try and book the same room.

Since we usually go for a cat 7 it always seems like the same room since there are so few of them and they are all in the same general area of the ship.

I just want a stateroom!!! We will take whatever we can get. Amanda will be doing the calling as I will be at work. I hope everyone gets on board with the room they want.

Hope you get your wishes - the hdcp. rooms are verye hard to get. You almost have to be the first ones to call in. There are only a handfull of them onboard. I love the hdcp rooms on the 6 & 7 floor at the end of the hallway. They are perfect for 2 people.

We are taking grandpa and great grandma, they had a handicap 11 on the last cruise and it really helped with great grandma being in a wheelchair. I plan on calling 1st thing on the 17th, I will be up at 5:45 ready to start calling!!! Thanks for the advise!!!

My DD and I will also be trying to book this cruise. I just joined DVC last month and am so excited about it! We've never been on the Wonder, because 4 nights is just too short. But for the Member cruise it'll be worth it.

My DD will be 10 on Sept 21st, so I am trying for a Cat 3. If I can't get the suite, then we'll probably just do a cat 8 or 9 outside.

Pixie dust will really be on your side if you get a Cat. 3. The Cat's 1, 2, and 3 are generally not available for this cruise. Very hard to come by. Good luck with dialing in! I'll be thinking of you all while I am boarding the Magic for our Thanksgiving Cruise. Glad that Kay already has us booked and ready to go since we are both on the ships! (Kay, I'll wave to you on the Wonder if we happen to pass in the night! :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Okay, in still in the middle of an audit. Headed to a funeral shortly and then to a dance performance tonight for my daughter. THen headed to California tomorrow for business and going to Wicked tomorrow night! THen home on Tuesday, then leave Friday for Thanksgiving cruise. Don't know when I am going to pack for these trips!

This week, my daughter (15) has been invited to go to Japan next April/May for 3 weeks to perform for the Suzuki Corporation, all expenses paid! They are working out the details now. So, if everything works out, she will be gone from April 13 - May 7 and then when she barely gets home I'll be leaving for the Panama Canal Cruise. I won't be going to Japan with her. She will have a guardian assigned while she is there.

Okay-back to work!

Good Morning All

Mary thanks for the tele info.
Only few days for call in as a few people said both phones will be going .

I was wondering about that. What do they do with the Cat 1s and 2, did they give them with prizes from the 2007 cruise? :confused3 Not that I'd need/want a 2 bdrm suite, but if we can get the 3 I will definitely be happy!

Have you seen Wicked before? I got to see it in Chicago last February and I loved it. I really want to take DD to London to see it. (We live in Belgium right now, as I am in the military).

Does your DD play an instrument? We will be at Tokyo Disney April 21st and 22nd next year. Will she be playing there by any chance?

The two Cat 1's, the Walt and Roy Disney suites, get used by DVC to host private parties and such. I'd suspect the 2's are used for the guests they bring.

Not sure if this is true for all the DVC cruises but I know in the past some of the Cat 3's were used by DVC marketing staff. Not to give them better accomodations but because they used them as kind of command centers for the cruise. Also because those rooms have more storage it helped with things as well. Of course that was the cruise that DVC was actually selling their product (shirts, etc.) and would use the rooms for storage when the sales table wasn't set up.

I was going to try to book a Cat 1 Suite!!! ( Yeah, right :rolleyes1 ) And I might hit the Powerball, too. If I do, party in our cabin every night! party:

OK - I HAVE JUST TOTALLY LOST MY MIND -----------------

I have the cruise before the Member Cruise booked, plus the Member Cruise and the one after the Member Cruise. The way it ends up, the three cruises are only costing me about $800 after my cash rebate cards and my onboard credits.

So it looks like CC for me 4 times in a week. Now how bad can that be??

So, is that a B2B x 2???

I think my DD's will end up taking my computer and phones away from me.

I worked a bake sale at the hospital this morning for almost 5 hours. That was very interesting. I ended up buying a whole plate of brownies and took them to my friends at the post office. They were in heaven when I left.

OK - off to watch some movies now and eat some lunch - I'll just make lunch and dinner in one sitting. :thumbsup2

Sounds like that would be a B2B2B Kay!

Thanks for the reminder of a bake sale. We have one at work this coming Monday and I have to figure our what I'm going to make.

what really went fast at ours was fudge and chocolate chip cookies.

Cheese cake was a hit also.

I made banana cake and cut it in squares and wrapped each one with clear wrap so hands did not have to touch them when we picked them up.

I am making some for me at home, it was so good.

Hmmm - I was actually thinking of making fudge. Haven't made it in so long. We already have a number of people signed up for cookies. I think I'll either do the fudge or white chocolate covered pretzel rods. Those are easy and tend to be popular as well.

Mary:

one lady made the fudge brownies and put them in those mini paper cups. They were so very cute and were better taking that the big squares of the fudge that another lady brought.

Just thought I would tell you about the "mini" fudge brownies.

I am gonna do that for the Holidays for some of my friends

Another thought for "mini" things is cheesecake. I like to make mini cheesecakes in the mini paper cups!

Also if there is going to be kids around another good thing is ice cream cupcake cones. Its easy and is always a hit!

Good Luck, Mary!

I am watching Oprah and The Osmonds.

I hope EVERYONE either saw it or Tivo'd it to watch later.

The ENTIRE Osmond family was there - all the children and their wives and all the children - Donny said there are 125 of them.

Opray flew them in from SLC all at one time.

FABULOUS show - Oh my - I got choaked up something terribly.

The show was actually planed before the passing of Mr. Osmond, Sr. last week and the family got together and decided to continue with the show anyways. The service for Mr. Osmond, Sr. was early in the day and then they went to the studio for taping. It was a celebration of Mr. Osmond, Sr.'s life.

Linda, thought of you while I was watching it and after talking to you. :grouphug:
