Well now that we are less then 8 days away from leaving, we just had the last of the corn. When we get back it will be out of season.....

O'well now it is on to the biggest treat the one person can not eat.... the Disney turkey leg, lol

I got the docs from UPS today. As far as people for a dinner party, I have only 2. My dad who died in 1965 while I was 6 years old and my mom who died in 1992.

I'd settle for one: my dad; he died six months before our wedding in 2000. I won't want to waste time with anyone else. Thanks, you made me cry.

For me it would have to be Abe Lincoln, Dali Lama, Brack Obama, but for getting some time back, my grandfather and Vikki's dad. The person I would have enjoyed meeting is Sir Edmund Hillary (the first person to climb Everest)

We met Chris Berman at ESPN at Boardwalk years ago. We were there for Labor Day weekend and they were doing NFL season kick off from there. He walked right up to our table and asked how we were doing that night! Now every time I see on TV, I tell my brother (who wasn't there) that I met him.

I was over to see his dad our son tonight and he told that the collage has told Brandon no matter what he will still be part of the football program for the next fours years. If he is unable to play they told him he will become part of the coaching staff and the eill teach him the ropes. this will go along with his Major which is Sports Managerment. We know he will make it

PS he is a offence Linbacker just a little guy. My little grandson is 6'5 inches and is 305lbs

Well, I know that this won't matter to some, but the day we sail is the also the day of the very last regular season game ever to be played at Yankee Stadium. Since the post season prospects aren't looking real good right now, 9/21 could very well be the very last game ever played at the Big Ballpark in the Bronx. It is being shown on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, but I don't know if I can even stand to watch it.

Bummer, I will watch it with you. It's sad they didn't have a better last season in the old park.....

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Annette - cool story.

For you Nascar fans we have an encounter story as well. We went to a Nascar truck race at WDW back in 1997. After the race we went to dinner at ESPN on the Boardwalk. We were seated right behind a table of 3 of which one of the three was Benny Parsons. Now at the time they were always kidding Benny about how he can't pass on any food and we saw it first hand. When the waitress came by at the end of their meal she asked the woman of the group if she was finished. She said yes but then Benny said no and took her plate! As they were leaving he smiled at us as he walked past the table. So we really didn't meet him but still got to see him. I really miss Benny.

You don't have to be a child to eat like one!

DCL has some wonderful food and some very decadent desserts, but sometimes you just want something simple and classic.

Don't hesitate to ask your server for a Mickey Bar for dessert (off the kid's menu). They will be happy to deliver it to you. It comes in a bowl, covered with sprinkles! We find them to be a much better quality than the ones in the parks.

I've also heard you can order Mickey Bars from room service - now that is decadent

I'd love to see the Sox & Rays in Tampa next week. I checked on line for tix & could get some for $55 each but we won't have a car. Where in Mass are you? I used to live there.

It's a beautiful cool morning here in Maine. I think Fall is on it's way right now it;s about 50 degrees.
Doesn't seem possible but we will be on the first leg of our journey Sunday when Nancy and I Drive to Boston for our park and fly before our flight out to the World Monday morning at 7:00AM.
I think we have everything ready to go into the luggage we will be doing a final check today.
This morning I have my three month check up atmy doctors. Two years ago my blood sugar was a bit high it came back that I tested border line type 2.
and also I have been taken statens for Cholesterol. With good eating habits and exercise I have been able to keep them both within normal limits. He likes to check it every three months. I have to keep this 65 year old body in good shape.
In the next couple of days we are go to Bangor to visit or grandson before we leave.
