Please make Gustav go away. I filled up some ziplocks with water tonight to freeze. Have to gas up all the cars. Gas went up 10 cents between am & pm.

We usually run to Tallahassee but I am thinking Mickey here we come. Why sit in a hotel and wait- lets go have fun and clean up when we return....

Hopefully we will just be here watching Jim Cantouri some where else, not that I wish a storm on any one.

I think that you guys are gonna be OK. Well at least I hope so. I was really worried when this AM that they were saying it was going to be a Cat 3 and was going right for New Orleans. I definately don't think that they need that. I wish these storms would just go away.

I am happy that my grandmother in Greensboro, NC is finally getting some rain. She has been in a severe drought and today they have already gotten about 10 inches of rain in one day.... She was really excited. They really needed it.

We fly out of Edmonton, which is three hours southwest of Cold Lake. We get in on the 20th and go to the Animal Kingdom for the night and then on the cruise the next day! (Sorry still figuring this system out, response to OKWMEMBER)

I have to ask, how does everyone get all the pictures at the bottom of their replies? I also want to thank everyone for all their information, I will have to pack light as you can only have one suitcase each on the airplane or you have to pay. We are counting down, and getting very excited. However, I must ask should I get travel insurance because of all the bad weather, does anyone know what happens in a situation like this (hurricanes)? Thanks again for all the information.

To get pictures in your signature you need to go to your user CP and then edit signature. The icon for adding a picture is on the tool bar and looks like a yellow square with a mountain in it. The picture has to be hosted somewhere on the web already (here on the DIS, photo bucket, or a private site). For example if you want the Member cruise logo in my signature you would click on it, select properties and then copy them. Then go to user CP and when you click on the image logo you would copy the property location in. Hope that helps.

As for trip insurance, yes I highly recommend it for cruises especially during hurricane season. I know there are cut off dates so not sure if it is still available for our sailing. What the trip insurance does is reimburse you if any part of the vacation gets canceled due to the weather, etc.

Well Nancy made it back for our trip yesterday. Pete and I got some fishing in and did quite a bit of swimming with the grand kids . We had a beautiful day.
Before we left last night we had a camp fire and made S'mores with the kids.
Just got back from having the Jeep inspected for another year so Nancys Patriot is ready to go.
Joan got your message this morning thanks for the offer we might have to take you up on it depending on the amount of gifts.
sorry to hear about the sale of your company I assume your job is safe. Good luck in the change over what a nightmare.
Well back to getting things ready for next month. The spare room has things everywhere.

Well guess what my fellow cruisers. We just seem to get enough of Mickey and cruising around our house. So, Craig and I are coming with all of you on the cruise, then on Oct 5, during Fall break, we are taking the three kids, 17,13, and 6 on the Disney Cruise. I can't believe we are doing it, but we are.

No, that stuff kind of makes me un easy. The Airforce suggested to DS # 2 that he delete his pages. If he had anything unbecoming an officers or was linked to any one that did he could get in a lot of trouble. A friend of DS # 1- who is a college student- and they do do stupid things almost got kicked out of his Christian college because of a picture of him in a bar even though he was not drinking. These kids need to realize every thing they do can affect their future. I am sure glad it wasn't around when I was young and stupid and in college!!!!

I have to try on my cruise clothes and see what to bring, Can we wear jeans in the dining room? I can't remember the rules. I know I have to bring nice clothes for palo's but ather than that T shirts and shorts for me!!!

I am hoping to leave my jeans in Maine - it's a long winter of jeans & sweaters up here so I'm not in any hurry to wear them. I'm bringing a couple of outfits of nice slacks/blouses & a couple of skirts/tops to wear for dinner. Otherwise it will be shorts & T's too. I'll also have some capris.

I'm not liking the looks of hurricane potential for next week. Not just Gustav but the one in the Atlantic that will become H something. The pattern better not continue! Anyone know what do they do if the boat can't leave port?

Joanne, I hadn't though of the mailing idea but it's a good one if it's necessary. Some of the stuff we've collected on other cruises has been useful but a lot of it is packed in a box in the attic! So we might just leave some of it behind.
