I just discovered this thread for the Member cruise & am trying to follow, but it's a bit confusing. Seems like everyone is having a bunch of personal conversations which is great, but feeling like an outsider.
This is our first cruise as a family & our first Disney cruise. VERY excited!!!!
We have 2 DD's ages 10 & 12. The 12 year old is looking to chat with other girls her age that are planning on hanging out at the Edge.
Looking for any great ideas and/or suggestions.

No insiders or outsiders here We consider all who stop by here whether they post a lot, a little, not at all or simply clicked on this thread by mistake to be a member of the "inside out crowd." None of the conversations that take place are meant to be private in nature so please feel free to jump in and comment on anything anybody says. It's our way of getting "to know" one another. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming and the thread can be a tad insane at times

You will find a TON of meaningless posts throughout with smilies, song titles, movie lines or random thoughts. This is being done in pursuit of 2 goals. One is the and game. For every post ending in 99 the poster wins a and for every one ending in 00 a So whenever we get close to that number there might be a flurry of meaningless activity to see who gets to 99 or 00 first. The other goal is to break the record for number of threads in a cruise meet. I think the record was 10 or 11 and we are on thread number 9

I'm Terrie, my DH is Wally (W@LL-E). A bit about me as relates to this thread ... I have an irrational fear of sharks which Ian (DVCDEERNUT) and Andy (Carmouse) will tease me about relentlessly. Addicted to paranormal romance novels but I'm in good company in that respect as I'm not the only one here that loves them. Wally and I are Disney nuts and having the good fortune to be Floridians, we go to Disney a LOT. No kids, but if your 12 year old DD is the one who has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, please let her know that I do too and would be delighted to see a picture of her Cavalier as would just about everybody else on this thread. Most of us are dog lovers and enjoy doggie pics.

Our first member cruise was last year. We had a BLAST!!!! Do bring an extra suitcase for the goodies especially if you join the Fish Extender Group. You can find the details on page one of this thread in the first post, scroll down to Fish Extender Exchange sign up. We might be close to the deadline for signing up so take a peek and see if it's somethng you'd like to do. It was one of the highlights of our trip last year.

Please feel free to ask questions or just jump right in with both feet!

One drink???? Ok, that's only acceptable if they are doling out "samples" of Maui Jims for you to wear for "marketing purposes"

Some people are crafty, others will just give a goody bag ala kids birthdays. It's whatever you want to do and how much time and money you want to put into them. I would say don't worry about the money because it's worth it! It's so much fun. It's like Christmas everyday on the boat!
