Aulani model?

The Aulani model is already open at the Preview Center @ SSR. When we did the 'Vacation With Character' event last week, we toured the AKV @ Aulani model rooms. Not sure if the BLT model room is still open. If BLT is as close to selling out at DVC says, they could be using the space where the BLT room was located.

That IS the rumor, right? We all know that usually when there's a DVC resort rumor it usually turns out to be true. Remember how long it finally took DVC to announce BLT? We all knew months before that announcement!

Hello to all of you. I chimed in 7 threads ago but have not come back till now. with less the 2 months to go I thought I would join this great Disney cruise crowd and ask questions.
I will introduce myself again. My name is Sandy and I am bringing along my hubby and another couple. This is both our first DVC Disney cruise. I am full of questions. been reading alot and been on the dis Facebook page trying to find info out.
Is there a formal night?
What kind of gifts will we get each day. anybody have pictures to share?
How about Disney Photo pas for the ship? or any info on picture taking?
And as I read I understand all tips are included in our cruise price,Right?

Gifts could vary: hats, cups, pins, clock, keepsake box, etc

I read that there is photopass now for DCL

Yes, tips are included in what you paid already.

There is a semi formal night. I think it's the third night of the cruise. (if I remember correctly from last year)

how was the 'vacation with character' event?

The 'Vacation With Character' event was nice. They talked about the changes taking place at WDW & DCA and as part of that, they mentioned how many points it would take to stay at either BLT or VGC in a 1-bedroom for 7-nights during magic season. They talked about Aulani and how many points for a 1-bedroom there also. They talked a little about DCL and the new home ports and the new park currently under construction in Shanghi. What was nice is they made very little mention of RCI and the rest of the World Passport options.

After the presentation was over (about 40 minutes), they had Mickey & Goofy on stage if you wanted to go up and see them. We skipped them and got in to the first group to see the model rooms. After the models, they had food setup. There was a pasta & chicken salad, veggies & dip, make your own strawberry short cake & strawberry angel food cake and cupcaked (chocolate & white). At this point you could meet with a guide if you wanted to add-on. They also passed out a $40 AMC Gift Card (one per family).

Jennifer, when are you going to tell the girls about the SSMC and WDW stay?

I'm sure that we aren't the only ones interested in knowing that. (That is unless we have missed it during a midnight post... )
And, the most important part, HOW are you going to tell them?

They don't know yet... We plan on telling the girls as we drive up to the port to park the car...
then again, I bought this really cool DVC pin that I'll post later...
