Nope. Bought direct from Disney. They don't tell you this, unless you ask directly, but you can buy the "sold out" resorts for much less than their so called "minimum buy-in". We could have bought as few as 50 points. We wanted OKW anyway, so it was perfect. $90/point and they expire in 2057. :thumbsup2

Those a the ones that Disney buys on the first right of refusal from from resales. It is a good move and the only way to go since the rule change on resales this past march.

Although, I think at one time, the only option WAS a minimum of 160. But, that changed.

That's what the Guides tell you. But, there are other options they don't discuss so readily. I called and knew exactly what I wanted and exactly what they were willing to do (from other posts on DIS). She said I was very informed and congratulated me for being so savvy. :lmao:

I will keep this in mind for next time!!!

Or ones they get back due to foreclosures. Also, when we added on the other 25, our guide wrote up a proposal and submitted it because there was nothing available for our use year. DVD went ahead and declared the 25 extra points into inventory "freeing the points up" for us to purchase. :thumbsup2

Just kidding goodnight. And good morning to all you that will be just waking up soon.
Have magical day:wizard:

I'm kinda hoping Terrie will do the jet skiing with me and Brandon! There's a part of the trip where you go out to a sand bar!!
castaway.gif

You mean in the ocean???? With the sharks???

Ive done it a couple times. You gotta watch you dont fly out of the wake infront of you like I did. I went 10 feet straight up and straight down. OH MY BACK:rotfl2: Tell Terrie its a SAND BAR where they serve KONK KOOLERS:rotfl2:

But there are sharks between me and the Sand Bar. Sharks dont drink Konk Koolers last I checked.:confused3

The people on My Yard Goes Disney just got a Mickey shaped pool in their back yard. I want one!

ME TOO!!!!!! WAAAAAALLLLLYYYYY!

What is Halloween Horror night??

It's at Universal. Last time I went was in 2002. I remember being chased by scary people with chainsaws. It was fun. Might do it again someday.

So who's seen Cars 2?

We saw it yesterday with our nephew and the family during his birthday party. He just turned 3 :goodvibes It wasn't as good as the first IMO. However, the Toy Story short pre-ceeding the movie was hysterical :lmao:

Now Deb and I are considering going to Italy in a couple years! All thanks to an obsession with Disney!

I know!!! One of the cool benefits to the DIsney obsession. You get to met the coolest people and make the coolest new friends :goodvibes Wally and I are so excited about that trip. I think we will all have a blast. Two more years, two more years :yay:

Not for Italy. There are some good TA discounts for AbD! Did you see?

Ok, that there is incentive enough for me to look into becoming a TA  Been dying to do some ABD trips!

:offtopic: Disney Channel can not replace a show as good as Hannah Montana

I totally agree :thumbsup2

It's so much fun collecting them!!!
Years ago my goal was to have 600 points. I think my new goal now is 1000. But then when is enough...enough?

Yes, the collecting is fun. 1000 is our goal too. We've got 780 so far. 400 at AKV and 380 at SSR. Holding out to see if they decide to build a DVC at Grand Floridian.

At 1500 I think. There is maximum you are allowed to buy.

Yup, the max is 5000 owned by any one entity and 2000 at any one resort. However techinically speaking you can still get around that. Mr. Smith can own 5000 points and Mrs. Smith can also own 5000 points if deeded separately.

Good morning number 7!

We have a good friend that played baseball all his life. He was a HUGE fan of the Mick. Wore 7 from when he was a little league player. Ended playing D3 college ball for Chapman University in Orange CA. We met his dad when the school played here for the NCAA D3 National Championships. Mike was drafted by the Brewers and ended up playing here in Appleton for a year. I have his Wisconsin Timber Rattlers warm up jersey with 7 on it. Wore it to the game on Saturday evening as part of the Kumbya festivities. (although I did have to put on my Mickey Mouse hoodie later in the evening)

HAPPY MONDAY to all! :dance3:

Looks like the page count just took a major jump overnight. Either I need to stop sleeping or just not read all the way through ... :confused3

But another option is that I can be up now and just kind of do random posts at this point. That way I can help :drive: us to setting a record here.
