I don't have to work tomorrow!!!

We were getting ready to go to attend the extended Potter family kumbayafest in Appleton this weekend, and thought I should check in here to see what is going on... doesn't look like we are breaking very many records at this pace!

So Andy, how are things there?

There we go... Now that the maddness is over I can answer you without throwing off anybodies count

Overall, everything is going well here. We got that stinky and unpredictable weather, but at least I don't have to worry about losing my roof. My dad's memory is slipping, but he still remembers what is important. I will be seeing an orthopedic doctor for a knee injury on Tuesday, but at least I am still able to walk and operate without any assistance.

I have people and my furry family that love me, I have a job, I have my health and I have all of you. I guess I am about the luckiest guy in the world, I have just about everything anyone could ask for (except a new BMW M5 convertible) so my life is awesome!

I love your attitude! I hope the Dr. can help you with your knee! My knees have been bad since I was in High School. I went to a school that had three floors. When I was a Freshman, I made a regular habit of falling down the stairs when my knees would give out on me. Turns out my knee problems were caused by my feet problems. Six months of physical therapy and some spendy orthotics got things under control. It did make for an interesting way of meeting the Senior football players that felt obligated to try and catch me before I hit the concrete though.

I'll say some extra prayers for your knee, your dad and your furry family!

Woo HOO! It's Friday! I'm not as excited about this weekend as I was about last weekend. But I'm still excited for the weekend. Tomorrow is my nephews first birthday party and after that is my cousins graduation party and I think Sunday we will go to the water park!.

Baseball, baseball, baseball....my nephew has a tournament this weekend. We have a graduation party tomorrow night, and we will be going to a local carnival/fest today. Hoping for a good weekend.

Hey, do you guys decorate your stateroom door?? I have been up for the last hour trying to find where I can download graphics and stuff. I was told to go and buy that magnetic paper?? We have some things for our door but I want more. I just don't know how everyone does this stuff. Looks so difficult.

I agree, won't be as fun as last weekend. We're celebrating oldest son' BD on Sunday.

I do. It's easy. If you go to the JUST FOR FUN forum (disboards) and then to the CreativeDISigns thread you can find tons of graphics and there are several designers that will customize signs for you.

Last weekend was a lot of fun! Great to meet so many nice Dis people!
This weekend will be busy for me. Tomorrow is Katie's bachelorette party.
We will start with breakfast for my daughters and I. Then off to Arlington Racetrack for the day, we will all be in our derby attire. Then dinner at Salsa17 Grill. Then bowling at Lucky Strike. I hope I make it to bowling

I think people who voluntarily go into the service are some of the most special human beings this country could ever hope for. It's what makes us stand above the rest. No brain washing, no ideology just purely for dedication to this great country and personal development. People like your son are national treasures. I have paid for a soldiers lunch from time to time when the opportunity arose. I wish he were on the member cruise cause I would definitely buy him a Konk Kooler to say THANK YOU. This isn't lip service or something you should say to be politicaly correct, I feel this way to my core. There is no way I could do what a soldier does. It's just not in my makeup. Therefore I have the utmost respect for what he and others have done and are still doing for us. I am so happy for you that he has made it home safely and Please send him my heartfelt appreciation.
