OK - do tell.

Inquiring minds want to know,
and so do the rest of us:rotfl2:

So, there were ten of us in the room...It was Jim & Kelly, Terrie & Wally, me & Junior, Jim & Laura, Dan & Sue. we were sharing funny stories and pretty much laughing hysterically. We weren't screaming or blasting music or anything...we really were just sharing stories and laughing....oh yeah....and having some extremely yummy drinks from our wonderful bartender a/k/a Calypso726 a/k/a Terrie. Dan & Sue and Jim & Laura had to hit the road, so it was now just six of us. So, there's a knock on the door (we thought it was Carole & John...but I later realized they sent a text that they weren't going to make it), so Kelly opens the door and it's a mean manager lady. She informed us that there have been several calls about too much noise coming from our room. Mind you....it was 10:30-11:00 on a Saturday night in CHICAGO. First the mean manager lady said if she had to come to the room again she was kicking us out. Then Kelly informed her that we were just talking and if they didn't have paper thin walls then the neighbors wouldn't hear us. And then the stupid mean manager lady said they have to give three warnings and then they have to kick the guests out. (First it was if she had to come back again...so basically one warning, then it changed the THREE warnings) :rotfl2:

The crazy part was....she didn't even ask nicely. She had a snotty attitude like we were a bunch of teens partying it up in a hotel room. I could understand the attitude if that were the case, but we were just mature adults enjoying drinks and laughs. We behaved ourselves after that and quieted down so our neighbors weren't bothered anymore. :sad2:

You would have all been proud of Kelly...she gave attitude right back to that mean manager lady. :worship:

Now Debbie, you didn't include the wild bachelorette parties and the pe**s cake.

Way to go you guys. I think the rule of three warnings holds true on the Dream too. After the third warning, you have to walk the plank. ARGpirate:

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads! :grouphug:

Happy Father's Day to all of the Dads out there. Hope you enjoyed your day.
Thank you all, and I will add my wishes to all the other dad's as well!

Hi Dan,

Hope you and Sue made it home safe and sound. Where can we get some apple pie this time of night? popcorn::

Thanks to everybody else who made it to the Chicago DIS meet! It was a lot of fun, needless to say.

We are very much looking forward to seeing all y'alls in September on the cruise, and at WDW before and after the cruise as well! :dance3:

I'm sorry that some of you had to leave at different times throughout the day. :sad2: It seemed like as soon as we started talking, somebody had to go! It was very cool that so many of us have so much in common besides our love of all things Disney! You all are a great group of people, and I am honored to have met you. This was a fantastic weekend spent with some wonderful people. :grouphug:

Thanks. We had to let the boys out and feed them, or I think they would have been eating us for dinner! They were HUNGRY! :scared1:

Rainforest Cafe, about 3 blocks from your hotel. Ask the concierge for directions. It is on the corner of Ohio and Clark Streets. About 7 minutes away, I think... Might be more places, but that would be a quick and safe bet. :)

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO LYNN!!!
(MLHOLSTER - 6/18)
Happy (publicly belated) Birthday, Lynn!

I have a picture that I will post tomorrow, because I have too much to do tonight to get it done.

We all stopped at the Disney Store on Michigan Ave, after lunch, and Lynn got her birthday crown, and another birthday pin from them! It was very cute!

We had SUCH a FANTASTIC weekend!!! The weather was absolutely perfect, too!!! I swear, it feels like I have known all's y'all for years. (did I do the "y'all thing right?) It's so nice to have friends who share the Disney passion and the crazy sense of humor. I hope everyone that joined us in Chicago had just as much fun as we did.

Carole & John - it was so nice to meet you!! And as for everyone else - it was so nice to see all of you again!!

I've only been to one other (home - not at WDW or DCL) DISmeet other than our two Chicago DIS meets and I can tell you, WE KNOW HOW TO DO A DIS MEET HERE IN CHICAGO!!!!! :thumbsup2 (But, I'm sure Jim & Kelly's neighbors on the 8th floor of the Embassy Suites weren't impressed with us) :rotfl2: :lmao: Thank goodness that manager didn't have to come and give us a second warning! :scared1:

Well....gotta get back to mom duty....my weekend off is over. :upsidedow

So nice to meet you (and everyone else!) too! We really enjoyed the lunch so much, and I can see we missed a REALLY great time at the drinkfest! LOL!

Looking foward to lots more of those fun times in September on the Dream with Ya'll!! :rotfl:

Oh, yes... A HUGE thank you to all who participated in the Chicago DIS meet! We have a superb group of people who were involved. I hope that everybody had as much fun as we!

Should we plan another sometime after the cruise? ;)
