Well, I didn't have back labor or anything. Mostly, I just needed the analgesic because I was so dang tired. It was WONDERFUL. Felt like someone literally pulled a warm fuzzy blanket up over me. I was aware of everything going on around me. I just didn't care about any of it. :lmao::lmao::lmao: Only lasted about 45 minutes though and then it was straight on to pushing. :headache:

Birth stories are fun. I bet you've got a lot more of them than I do. :thumbsup2

I asked for it with Stitch. I just got the "Honey, you don't have that kind of time." comment. She was right. I didn't. I missed it though. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

My first one (my daughter), labor, was long for me, 10 hours, had IV meds, pushed for 2 hours, done, I was done! She didn't want to come out! My labor with her is like her personality, things take a while to get done. :happytv:

Well, before I went to work with my second daughter, I started contracting, but it wasn't painful. Went to work because I figure if I truly was in labor, with my luck, I would be stuck in traffic. So off to work I went, my patient delivered, had an admission and was ready to go home. Then my water broke, then the painful contractions started. :scared1: I needed an EPIDURAL!!! It was so different from my first labor, so painful! I was able to get one, then delivered in 30 minutes, so basically I delivered 2 1/2 hours after I got off work, walked straight into a labor room. My DH didn't make it.

It was so different from my first labor, so painful!
<snip>
My DH didn't make it.

My second was more painful too. I think it was just soooo much faster that I didn't have time to recover from a contraction. They just didn't seem to stop.

My DH was with me, but my in-laws didn't make it. They figured they had time to stop and pay the electric bill and get some food first.

Well, my DH should be home in a few minutes. Best start getting ready for bed. It's been fun chatting again! Goodnight!

I had one of those last week, it was great! My patient did wondeful, she went from :headache: to  all in about 10 minutes from when she walked into the hospital. It was the most beautiful thing, and she truly was beautiful, didn't look like she just had a baby, knew how to feed the baby, then I handed her off to the next nurse, all in 2 hours.

I'm trying to imagine the look on the two dogs and the cat's faces when Kyle walked out of the house with all those nummies. :rotfl2:

Call me psychic (not psychotic!) but somehow I already knew it was KYLE that was trying to take care of it...

So, no baby catching to do today? :confused3

The wild changing weather brings forth many a babies...I just heard thunder now it's pouring outside.
PLEASE be careful with the weather out there, esp. the Dis'ers in the mid west/central part of the country.
Can you believe it will be snowing in the Sierras this week?! June! Sheesh! :cold: Where's the :goodvibes

Have a safe Wednesday everyone, work is calling, going in early...:wave2:

I turned phonebooth on and then scared myself. So, nope. Not playing with that one. :goodvibes

I found an app (on the Mac, not the iP4) that has video tutorials for using iPhoto. I think it's $4 or $5. I may buy that.

I have not used them but Apple has free video tutorials on their site... (that $5 could get me a drink of the day on the cruise :thumbsup2)

Ok, when I am sleeping you all do like 40 pages, when I am awake and able to be social - Nada...

Well, here is another post toward the next :bride: / pirate: Only 83 to go, unless the boards decide to play the numbers game again, in which case you either have 96 posts or three posts to go.

You really must be my sista' from another mista'! I _love_ skunks. Some find it strange. And it may be. When I was a little girl, in third grade, there was a baby skunk that lived under our porch. Every day after school, I'd go out with my winter mittens on and pet and feed it. :rotfl: I loved that thing. When I was in high school, I volunteered for a museum that had lots of live animals. They had two skunks. I loved those guys!! They were so cuddly and sweet. One day I found out that skunk pee smells much, MUCH worse than skunk spray. :scared: That's when I decided that I wouldn't want one for a pet. :rotfl2:

I can't say I ever thought too hard about sugar gliders, but I researched myself out of a hedgehog. :lmao:

Yeah no kidding, we must be related! I researched myself out of a hedgehog too LOL I know what you mean, I adore skunks! I've known a few and they are very sweet. My particular vet's office has a large skunk clientelle. So I do get to see them from time to time when I go there. I also researched myself out of having a Border Collie. Yeah, they are the smartest breed of dog, but I have no business owning one :lmao:

Sugar gliders are super fun to have. We have Goose and Mavrick. Other than having sharp claws that we have to clip, they are just adorable. We got our last October. The girls love them.

We have had baby racoons, baby squirrels, bunnies, snakes, turtles, parakeets, various injured native birds, and briefly a hawk. We have a spoiled cocker spaniel, turtle, fish and of course our "suggies" now. Did I mention that my husband majored in biology??? When the neighbors find a wounded animal, we get called.
