Aw shucks we will miss you by a couple of weeks. We will be there Jan. 22 - 26. Meeting with the Disney wedding planner so it will be a working vacation. Hey anytime there is bonus time for us! :cutie:

We were on 88 yesterday (Sunday) and there was white out conditions. We intended to do some Christmas shopping but decided to turn around and get home before it got dark:scared1: Things only got worse as we got home and watched the Bears :confused3 Oh well now they may be hungrier for the next game.

We will aso be there Jan 23-26 for us. There is a DISmeet being planned for that time if you are interested. The place for the meet is Old Key West. The day and time have not been set yet.

Oh sounds fun. When you get the info will you let me know? We will have meetings planned with photographers and wedding planner but if the timing is right we would love to meet up. Thanks :goodvibes

Sounds good Sue ... You're right, it should have been the 22nd. Hopefully we can fill up the boat, because I don't think Lara will want to pay much over $35 per person.

Is it just you and Dan plus 3 of us, so we're looking for 5 more people, right? I'm sure by the time we get there more people will be interested. Heck we might have to raft two boats together :)

We would like 2 of the spots on the after cruise lake cruise. Mike and Debbie

The info for the meet will be on the on going January Dismeet thread under the DVC mouscelanious page. I will let you know about it as well.

Hi John, They take you out on a pontoon boat and they can fit up to 10-12 people comfortably.

Up have to call to reserve this the minute they open on the day your reservation window opens. I can't remember exactly how many days. I think 120 days

Count us in tentatively. I'll ask Junior tonight if he wants to join in

You can count us in!
Nancy & Michael

Okay Sue and/or Dan, I believe this is our list so far (check me on this):
(2) Dan & Sue
(3) John, Lara, Laran (4)
(2) Junior & Debbie (tenative)
(2) Nancy & Michael
(2) Mike & Debbie

If Wally is right we may be able to fit us all on one boat, figuring we have 10 1/2 in total. I think the website said 10 people, but Laran will only be 4 years old at the time.

Now, is there any interest in starting a second boat? We are looking at Sept 22nd (debarkation day from the Dream), viewing the Illuminations Fireworks show at EPCOT.

It looks perfect, John. When I call tomorrow to find out about booking date, I will also check to make sure we all will fit.

Hey all,

I have just been chatting with Mike (friends with mickey) offline about the potential Parrothead gathering.

He has some great ideas, and I think this might be a hugely popular event. Another inaugural event for this cruise!

Everyone start thinking about it, I believe he will post within a day or so asking for ideas to help out.

:worship: John, please forgive my ignorance. I ask that you bestow your infinite wisdom upon a mere newbie on this board.

What the heck is Parrothead? Is that some kind of pirate band? I hate to think that any of my imaginations other than that could be true... :rolleyes1

Maybe you're too young, but I'm sure you'll recognize Jimmy Buffett and his songs like Wastin' Away Again in Margaritaville. It's hard to read without singing outloud. To my knowlege, Parrotheads are Buffett followers, not to be confused with Buffet followers ... the latter being Wally! Not sure if they include songs from other artists or not, but definitely music very well suited to sitting on an island and sipping a Margarita!

Here are some popular songs taken from Wikipedia Buffett on Wiki

1."Margaritaville"
2."Come Monday"
3."Fins"
4."Volcano"
5."A Pirate Looks At Forty"
6."Cheeseburger in Paradise"
7."Why Don't We Get Drunk" — Only played occasionally, as of 2007
8."Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes"

We are recent Buffett converts. We have a Margaritaville Restaurant near us and love to visit. :dance3:

Is there still room for four all the way from far far away?!

Since we've never been to Epcot, or WDW, or Florida......It would be great to see the IF @ Epcot.
Thanks John!!! :flower3:

:thumbsup2Thank you kindly. I do indeed recognize Jimmy Buffett and his music. I was completely unaware that his followers were called Parrotheads. I am not adverse to sitting on the beach with some nice rum concoction and listening to his offerings. I am also not adverse to becoming a buffet follower either, but I suppose I need to speak with Wally about joining him in that endeavor :woohoo:
