Hey Karen! Congrats to Grumpy. Hopefully he will be willing to pay for "kitty care" so that Stitch will have some Disney Dollars of his own for the video game rooms...

When you all leave for your extended vacation in September, what are you going to do about the animals? I understand San Diego has a pretty nice zoo but I doubt it would be big enough to accommodate what you have there

You mean they don't have room for four rats, a cat and two dogs? They'd all fit quite comfortably in the trunk of my car. But, I don't know that they'd all make it out safely. I think my friend (who stayed and watched the pets for our Disneyland trip) will stay again. If not, she has a very responsible 18 year old that is also good friends with my boys. He just made his Eagle Scout in Dec. Really great young man. He may stay here if she can't.

Finally!! I am finally caught up. I just can't keep up with this thread. And since I am not on here as much I find it hard to keep all the names straight. I will get it all down soon. Now that we are getting closer to the cruise I have to get on here more often.



I am not sure if I asked on this thread but......

Animal Kingdom Villas - Does anyone have a preference as to the Jambo House or Kidani Village?? Interested in your preference and why you prefer a particular location. Also, concierge level - what is included and is it worth it??

We have never stayed at AKV yet and would like to for the September trip. We are getting close to the 7 month booking window so I want to make a final decision in the next day or two.

Anyone??? Thoughts...comments....suggestions!!!

We stayed at AKV concierge level in a studio last Sept. I really enjoyed it mainly because we were able to go on the sunrise and sunset safaris. We loved them both. The food at the lounge was ok, breakfast was fine but the desserts in the evening were just so so in my opinion. We did save a bit of money by getting DH's beers there and I did enjoy some of the wine and cordials in the evening.

We are having leftover roast chicken and mashed potatoes. I am eating the leftover asparagus and I was kind to my children and gave them cinnamon applesauce tonight. They suffered through the asparagus last night. DS ate his without complaint. DD on the other hand cried and gaged through the one very small, thin stalk she had to eat. Don't feel too bad for DD....she does this with any fruit or vegetable. The neighbors probably think I am torturing her if they hear her whining and crying at meal time.

I stopped making Kyle eat green beans when he started throwing them up at at the dinner table. Yeah kid, you win ... He loves salad though, so it's not all veggies.

I think it is more the idea of what she is eating that makes her gag rather than the actual food itself.

Way too much info, but why did I not think of that as a kid. Although there was the morning where I had to have lima beans for breakfast. When my dad came in the room he was upset with my mom cause she did not provide a beverage. So dad got me a lemonade. To this day I hate both lima beans and lemonade!
