Terrie - Duffy is soooo cute! Thanks for posting the pictures. I wonder if the life size Duffy you took a picture with has the Hidden Mickeys on the bottom of his paws.

We asked one of his handlers, and their answer was NO.

Sad, sad day today! They found the body of the missing president of the bank I work for. He had been missing for a month. At least his family doesn't have to wonder where he is, but they are ruling it a homicide so now the family has to worry about why and who! So sad!!

Well, I better get off this computer and start getting ready for the long sad day at work.

Nah, we asked. But he does have the one on his butt (hip) whatever.

Ok so who is Duffy? Why don't I understand?

Duffy the Disney bear has arrived in the United States. Duffy is a very big deal and extremely popular in Tokyo Disney Sea. The back story is that Mickey was getting ready to set sail on a long sea voyage and Minnie wanted him to remember how loved he is at home and not be lonely. So, she made him a teddy bear and put all her love into it. Mickey loved the bear and named him Duffy, Mickey and Duffy sailed around the world visiting exciting places and making friends along the way. Mickey and Duffy took pictures of their new friends in the places they visited and made memories wherever they went.

Apparently both grown men and women are really INTO Duffy over there. The parks have "picture spots" that are designed specifically for your Duffy bear to be placed on and photographed, kinda like our Kodak spots here for people. When you bring Duffy to your TS restaurant he will get a small Duffy sized meal too (not real food though).

Duffy was introduced to Epcot on October 14th. Duffy can be dressed in outfits that come in holiday themes and also outfits that correspond to each country in World Showcase. Duffy's face is a hidden Mickey and he also has Mickey heads on his paws and his bottom.

Duffy will be accomapnying Wally and I on the SSMC11 dressed in his sailor suit of course. We are hoping he will become friends with Dudley

Ok! I know that 2011 is not even here yet but as some of you know I am already planning a cruise for around April 2012. I want to do a 7-day cruise. Today, I received this message in an email.

BREAKING NEWS! The Disney Fantasy will sail on it's maiden voyage on April 7, 2012 with a 7-night Western Caribbean Cruise. Bookings will begin on October 20, 2010. The Fantasy will be doing both Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, with sail dates available from April to September 1, 2012.

We're thinking about doing the maiden voyage. But we wanted to take the kids with us and they'll be in school. UNLESS their Spring Break miraculously falls on that week! I MIGHT be able to make that happen depending on the outcome of an upcoming election. A friend of mine is running for school board so I'll have to see what she can do as far as scheduling spring break in 2012 if she gets elected!

It changes each year. This school year they get Spring Break from March 28-April 1st. It's WAY early!!!! I don't think our school ever has Spring break right at Easter. I just don't get it!! Other schools in the area coordinate Spring Break with Easter.
