I have some posts on the Cruise Facebook page about the Castaway Cay 5k.

I have been e-mailing and leaving phone messages since August for Shutters/Image US and have not received a response. Finally, I decided to call DCL directly and was given another e-mail address to send the request and a fax number to. Did that and am now waiting to hear back.

Looks like we will just have to commendeer a photographer one we are aboard.

I am a night owl too! hoot!hoot!LOL but this Cold/sinus infection has made me tired. going to the Docs today to get some good stuff to get rid of this crap before I fly to Florida and our cruise. Cannot be sick for this great disney cruise.
Last Dec. when I was at disney it was so cold we both got sick and brought it home with us. Now I am taking it back with me!LOL

It is held at around 8:30a or 9a each morning at Castaway Cay. You meet the CM that starts the race just off the ship. There are showers on the dock at the end of the gangplank area. It is very informal. There have been DCL water bottles for participants in the past, although I read that they no longer give anything anymore. There is also a two mile power walk that starts from the same spot held 1 hour after the start of the 5k. We did the power walk on our only cruise. I will probably do the 5k this time walking/light jogging it. If you are looking for someone to do it slowly, that would be me.

Sandy, what are the ages of your kids? I'm assuming you have some although I hear the disney cruise is awesome for adults too. I've only just joined this board last week. I was getting so excited I searched out for some pre-trip excitement. I've been a member of these boards for years (not as long as you) but never used it much.

Not that I can thnk of. We are mostly on property. Andy(carmouse10) posts an update that has where everyone is staying pre and post cruise.
