--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just got a tweet from Barb @ themeparkwriter that Sept 19th DCL is changing their alcohol carry on policy. Has anyone seen this elsewhere?

Some of us will already be on the ship on the 15th. Guess it paid to do the 3 day cruise before? One thing I dont see addressed is Hard Alcohol or spirits? :confused3

Does this mean I can bring my flasks of Crown on board any longer? Stinks for those of us that like a shot in the middle of the night when everything else is closed? :confused3

Anyone see this?

Sounds like a fun time!

It is quite likely that I will be separated from the family before too long (due to work). So Laran and I are spending the summer of a lifetime together.

We went out to Lake Michigan every chance we got. With a life jacket on she loved the independence of being able to 'swim' around where ever she wanted. I would anchor the boat just at the edge of the shallow water (for me, not her). Waves typically were 1 foot, water temps in the low 70's with air temps around 90. She would spend about an hour in the water, an hour making 'sand castles' on the beach, followed by another hour in the water. Very enjoyable, indeed!

John welcome back. Thanks for thinking of us on Long Island. We didn't lose electricity but we lost cable: computer -tv-telephone until approx 3:00 pm today. Then today we lost electric for about 30 minutes. We can't complain all around us are still out. We went to Applebee's restaurant for lunch today it was packed. Chuck & I have been cleaning up branches, large & small, all day. It took Chuck forever to clean our pool with all the leaves and what not that blew into it. But, we were prepared-flashlights-batteries-radio-ice chests-water- and of course that all important bread and PEANUT BUTTER !!!

Oh no, you lost TV ... Kids today wouldn't know what to do without TV. Actually Laran has had little TV all year, but when she does see cartoons she becomes fixated on it (kinda like when I finally get a wifi signal).

Glad to hear the clean-up is going well. I was worried it might have been worse based on you last report (when Chuck was letting the dog(s) out). I hope everyone else has only small debris to clean up rather than the tree down at you neighbors or worse yet, flooding.

PS Kudos for being well prepared!
