How was your time away?

Very enjoyable. Laran had two more weeks of swim lessons. We spent time with our friends who live up there. Plus had friends we met on a Princess cruise, from Florida. And my sister visited too.

Gotta go eat now... later.

The Member Cruise threads on the meets boards are challenging, aren't they? There are lots of great people having fun there but sometimes it can be really difficult to sort through everything and find the information/answers you are looking for. I swear those have to be the fastest moving threads on the history of the DISBoards.

John welcome back. Thanks for thinking of us on Long Island. We didn't lose electricity but we lost cable: computer -tv-telephone until approx 3:00 pm today. Then today we lost electric for about 30 minutes. We can't complain all around us are still out. We went to Applebee's restaurant for lunch today it was packed. Chuck & I have been cleaning up branches, large & small, all day. It took Chuck forever to clean our pool with all the leaves and what not that blew into it. But, we were prepared-flashlights-batteries-radio-ice chests-water- and of course that all important bread and PEANUT BUTTER !!!

Alcohol Policy Change?

Whew, I have GOT to quit disappearing for weeks at a time. It takes FOREVER to catch back up.

I see the West Coast DISmeet (plus Terrie and the Hutsell's micro-DISmeet) went well. All of our Potters are back from the Northwestern US family wedding. We've had a few new folks join us here in the last few weeks. The excitement builds.

Last we heard Andy got scared out of NY, seeking refuge in Atlanta. Mickey and Christa, Vicki and Chuck were riding out the storm. I hope all is well with everyone along the east coast, and we will be hearing from them once power is restored.

Welcome back John!!! Yes it is exciting now!

We packed most of Junior's stuff tonight and some of my stuff. Mainly what we'll be wearing for dinner on the ship. We still have to pack our casual clothes, bathing suits, etc. I can't pack the kids' stuff until just before we leave because I'm having a shortage of shorts in my house for them. I do believe Emilee just went through a growth spurt because all of the shorts that fit her just about a month ago don't fit her anymore. And of course trying to find shorts THIS time of year is next to impossible. And Brandon...yeah, all he has is those cotton shorts and the sports type shorts. NO jean shorts for him. I am having a hard time finding jeans to fit him right now let alone jean shorts! UGH!

On a funnier note...we tried on our pirate night costumes. (They're just cheap-o's from Party City) DD told Junior that he looks funny and DS just kind of laughed at us.

DOES THAT MEAN JUNIOR IS GOING AS A WENCH
