Hi Dan, wondering where everyone went myself. I have been watching our weathercast. Finally we had a day under 100 for the first time in August. Yes it was a chilly 95. It will back above 100 again starting tomorrow. We are expected to break the all time high of 109 on Saturday. The heat is an effect of the hurricane bringing us winds from the north which is dry air that heats up faster than our normal humidified air. Who knew

My DH doesn't have much of an opinion, just almost impossible to get him to the store!!!

My DH would wear a black tshirt and black shorts all the time. In fact, he usually does. But, I told him he had to dress up for dinners. So, he reluctantly went shopping. I picked several things I thought would look good, but he vetoed. And then the rest of the stuff said he'd trust my opinion.

Hey, you are the parent, and they are not of age yet. You get to tell them what their opinion will be!

I wish it worked that way with my teens! I found an awesome tropical button down shirt. Not brightly colored. Kinda understated and really nice. I couldn't convince either of them to try it on.

I went off and had a three hour scout meeting. We're having some issues between adults in the troop and are trying to resolve them.

Yeah, but since I don't physically dress them anymore, it makes it hard to insist on certain items. They're jeans and tshirts kind of kids. Although Grumpy came back from camp and has been wearing the only two button down shirts he owns. Not sure what's up with that. I think he's going through a phase. He wants me to find some plain colored short sleeved button ups for him to wear with his new plaid shorts.
