Hello everyone. :wave2:

Just got back from the D23 expo/DL/DCA/mini-dismeet with Jen & DH.

Everything was awesomesauce :thumbsup2

Details (with pics) to follow...:3dglasses

Ok so now that you're back, I can ask this...did you have any strangers come up and tell you that Junior an I said hello? the guy that rents our points every couple of years was going to the D23 Expo and I told him to look for you and Terrie and tell you we said hi. I figured it would be a slim chance that he would actually see you but thought it would be really cool if he did! :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear all about your trip!!

here come the hawks, the mighty blackhawks
take the attack, yeah, and we'll back you blackhawks
you're flyin' high now, so let's wrap it up
let's go you hawks, move off
now all look out, here come the hawks,

here they come movin', weavin', flyin' high and throwin' spray,

and the blackhawks, take control,
there's a shot, and a goal!

How is everyone this beautiful day? :)

Glad to read that everyones' cruise docs are coming in. :thumbsup2

So, I've been following the thread on the cruise boards about the new port arrivals/opening time issues. Here's what seems to be happening ...
The terminal opens at 11am, or just a few minutes before. If you arrive much earlier, apparently they tell you to go somewhere else and come back at 11.
DCL has said that if you arrive earlier than your chosen Port Arrival time, you may be asked to wait outside until your window opens. It doesn't seem that they've done this to anyone yet. They are allowing people into the terminal building earlier than their times, but your arrival time is tied to your boarding number. So, if you have a later time, even if you arrive early, you may be given a higher number and have to wait to board.
Sometimes you may be Pixie Dusted and given a lower number by the CM checking you in, but don't count on that happening.
Many people have reported that they had an arrival time around 12 or 12:30. They arrived, checked in, got a boarding number, but the embarkation process is now going so quickly that they are frequently doing "open boarding" and people have been walking right on the ship.
So, if you have an 11 am time, you may wait around a bit, but it seems like the 12:30 folks are walking right on regularly.
Reports are that the terminal building is no longer crowded and the embarkation process has been streamlined.
Sounds like things are going well at the port! :woohoo:
Thanks for the info Karen, and goodmorning :flower3:
D23 was incredible! You really need to go to the next one in 2013. I talked with a Disney D23 attendee and he said there's a mini D23 planned for Anaheim next year.

I am fan of the original NHL teams ... :thumbsup2

I was lucky enough to see those guys several times in the old Chicago Stadium. One of the best games I saw was the Hawks v. the Bruins. Bobby Hull taking on some young defenseman named Bobby Orr. :woohoo:

(Did that Orr kid ever become a decent player? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:)

{Actually Orr finished out his playing days as a Hawk if I remember correctly)

A little background about D23:
I truly regret not being a charter member. There are perks to being one, so if ever is a time there when Disney Charters ANYTHING, do a little research to see if it's for you, and don't miss out on the opportunity.

D23 was introduced on March 10, 2009 by Robert Iger during the company's annual meeting in Oakland, California. The name D23 refers to Disney and 1923, the year the company was founded. The goal of D23 is to communicate with Disney fans by "placing them in the middle of the magic."
The major components of D23 include a Web site, Disney twenty-three (a quarterly publication), yearly member gifts, member events, member exclusive merchandise, and the D23 Expo, a Disney fan convention dubbed "The Ultimate Disney Fan Event".

And of course, there was info about the "Fantasy" :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
I need to book a cruise on that ship. There are some wonderful upgrades to the Fantasy, including a drawing of your own "coming to life" at Animators Palate, and a new lounge scene in Skyline featuring scenes from several european cities.

THIS I have to do!

What perks do you get for being a Charter Member?

Podcast cruise 4.0 is in December 2012 on the Fantasy. Prices are pretty good, IMHO. You should check it out!

Very cool! Wish I could have been there! No dates released yet, I'm sure? I have some friends that are trying to get me to speed walk the Disneyland Half Marathon on Labor Day weekend with them.
