Well, I guess I'm alone again. I have the big eye tonight. Normally, I would have already hit the bed. I'm going to go on and read some other threads and add numbers to my post. I'm still trying for that 1000 posts. I'll check in again later to see if any late comers signed on.

I am so sorry about your brother. Tell us his name and I will have my church add him to our prayer list. Do you have any idea when the surgery will be?

Gail
My brothers name is Alan Brown, He really needs God in his life so have your church pray for that first of all, and his surgery should be around Wed. this week. Thanks!!!

When you brought it was anything said to you about it. I found a list of forebidden items, and I did not see an iron on it. I have read on this board that they do not want you to bring them. It would just be so convenient. I am bringing enough things that we will not have to do laundry unless we have an accident that needs immediately treatment. I just don't want to carry everything to the laundry, iron it and carry it back.

I am thinking that you are not allowed to use irons, esp. in the cabins. There are laundry rooms placed around the ship and these have an iron and ironing board that you can use (at no cost). The washers and dryers do cost money.

That said, I have had a little travel steam iron with me on a prior cruise.

Morning all,

Here is a link to the menu'

I hope this works, I stink at this computer stuff.

You don't have to get dressed up during the day. Just cover up the swim suits.

I love downey wrinkle releaser. I never iron. I send everything to the cleaners before we leave and pack it in a garment bag in the plastic.

Our TA sent us choc covered strawberries last time. It was nice. The kids devoured them. The decorations were nice too. BUt in that small cabin they got in the way. But we were four in our cabin.

Amy I wish your brother the best.

The boys are home this week end. It's nice to see them. The youngest is loving every minute of college. Had his watch stolen while he was swimming laps. Other than that he has done ok.

They both brought lots of dirty clothes home. So I have one load going already. I also brought work home and will probably work Monday to get everything done before the 12th.

Happy Saturday all,

We are talking about two different things. I must have the name wrong. I am talking about the package where you get chocolate covered strawberries, and sparkling cider. .

I probably have it mixed up. I really don't know what the name of the package was. I asked DH last night if that was what he ordered on the first cruise, and he said yes, but I'm sure he doesn't remember what it was called. Whatever we got, it was just a bunch of decorations, and I really didn't care for them. The chocolate covered stawberries sound yummy!

I'm sure I brought the travel iron at least once, and no one said anything to me, but then again, I never brought it out of the suitcase. I may take one this time too, simply because I am purposely not bringing enough clothes to last all week, and will be washing a load or 2 during the week. I just hate standing in that hot room ironing my clothes!

Consider it done! I very much believe in the power of prayer. My DD has had medical problems, and we had a huge group praying for her. Even her Neurologist said that she is absolute miracle. He did not know that we had everyone praying, and he told me that if I did not believe in God, I had better start because there was no medical explanation for how well my DD did in surgery. She was supposed to be in Neurological ICU for up to 3 weeks and in the hospital for up to a month and half. She only spent one night in the ICU. She was home in less than two weeks. So God answers prayers and miracles do happen. We will pray for Alan and the entire family.

Thanks so much for the link to the menus. Thanks also for confirming that we do not have to dress up for breakfast and lunch.

Oh no, you were right. I checked on it. The Bon Voyage Party Pack is room decorations. The snacks and cider are called the Bon Voyage Snack Pack.

We are not arriving until the 15th either, we fly out of SC around 9 am, and arrive around 1pm at MCO. So I guess I will be the last of the group to leave!

And I don't really bother talking to people about the cruise. I worry that it seems as if I am bragging, when I am really just excited. I guess us Disney cruisers are just a unique bunch. Its a great vacation, and because we have to plan so far in advance (to get the really good prices), it means alot to us. Plus, it's DISNEY, and most of us would not be here if we didn't have the emotional attachment to Disney and all that it stands for.

I really didn't get excited until we got back from our Arizona trip 2 weeks ago. Now I can concentrate on the REAL vacation!! I feel like I'm getting slightly obsessed!

We will also be arriving at MCO around 1:00pm 0n 9/15.

It sounds like we will have several people around on that Thursday night. I will be here, but I will be so excited that I will be bouncing off the walls.

You're going to think I'm crazy, but I don't know how to post them. :confused3 There not even saved in the computer the same as they really are. I bought two different programs and couldn't figure out how to make the really nice signs. What I ended up doing and looking on the signs thread and finding ones I liked. I think PMed the diser and asked if they cared to share. The ones who agreed e-mailed me the design minus their personal info such as names, stateroom number, etc. I printed the design on magnetic paper straight from my e-mail. I then went into Word Perfect and typed our personal info so that it would print where I wanted it to appear on the sign. I printed it on plain white paper and laid it over the sign. When I had it lined up exactly right, I put the magnetic paper back into the printer and printed the writing over top of the design I had already printed. Does any of the that make sense?

Anyway, I am technologically ignorant. Most of the time, I just want to smash my computer. :badpc: My DD, who is 8, can do so much more than I can do. This is the first discussion forum that I have every participated in. I still haven't figured out how to post our picture here, and as you can see from my signature on here, I can't figure out how to get my ticker to actually show.

Everyone on the door signs thread were extremely nice and helpful to me. You should check it out. If you do, you will see everyone of my signs just with someone elses names on them. :rotfl2:

I don't know if you got an answer or not but this is how to post signs or any other picture.

Go to a picture posting site. I use photobucket. upload your sign, it should be saved as a .jpg file on your computer.
If you are using a program like photo-shop elements you will need to click "save as" under the file drop down.

When you photo/sign is loaded up on photobucket you will see 3 lines under each photo. copy the line in the box that is listed as IMG. Once you copy it you can paste it in your post. You can also past a photo in you signature like I have and Amanda has. It is real simple and is a lot of fun to share images. I am working on sign 3 but here are my two as an example.

Good for you Gail, I guess I will be taking over the title of "Cruddy Door Sign Maker". I am busting out the some photos, glue and construction paper this weekend. Hopefully one of these office supply stores will laminate them.

Have you guys ever heard of this - my IT friend at work says if I give him a picture of each one of us and a picture of each Disney character we want to be....he can morph the two together...how cool is that!...Hopefully he will have the time to do it...

Hey guys I know I don't come around alot, I get so busy and my computer has been acting crazy. I will probably end up buying a new laptop soon. Which I would usually be excited about buying something new but when I have already went through putting things back on it that was taken off becouse I had a hacker, I don't want to do it again. I still am not totally done I have been doing it as I needed the program, which stinks when you are in a hurry and then realize you have to load the thing.....

Oh well that is not the reason I am posting this The reason is that I looked at the first page to find out everything about where to meet and what rooms and what dinners for everyone and the site for some of that stuff is not up to date. So am I suppose to go to another page to find this stuff out????

I have not even started packing one thing..... Any of you that pray, My brother is a very big softball player and he atually has people pay him to play ball for him, well anyway he was pitching two nights ago and the guy hit the ball right back at him and it broke 9 bones in the right side of his face and they are going to reconstruct his face as soon as the swelling goes down. They sent him home until the surgery... So if you pray, please do that for him, he is feeling really bad....

thanks guys
amy
Oh Amy that's terrible, he's in my prayers.

Hubels aka Stargater will be doing the Chaccohoben Ruins. We were unsuccessful in making PALO res. so we are driving over very early from Largo to be one of the first in line. DD8 has made our signs and we are in cabin 6315 and we have the 8:30 seating. Look forwart to meeitng you all!!!

Wow I just read through the other three pages that I missed from last night and there are too many things to quote. So here goes.

1. I talk about my vacation all the time because several of my co-workers are disney freaks like me. Well maybe not as much as me :earboy2:. I can't help it, I am sooooo excited. Although my boss once accused me of bragging. I reminder her that when it was spring break and raining cats and dogs here, like it does every April, she did nothing but remind us how she was about to leave and go to Disneyland and stay in the Grand Californian. Then she realized that we all brag a little. There's nothing wrong with being excited. It's Disney Baby!!!!

2. I hope whatever school, my not yet conceived, children go to understand that they will miss a few day each Sept for a Disney trip. It's not really about saving money, but that is a nice part of it. But it has to do with Eric and crowds. Our first trip to WDW was the week before Easter and it was fun, but also a nightmare on Main street because it was so crowded. And Eric has a serious phobia with crowds. Sept is the perfect time to go for him.

3. I loved the Downey Wrinkle releaser spray. No it won't work as well as an iron, but I'm on vacation, so honestly I don't care how crisp my clothes are.

4. To any newcomers Welcome!
