Alright! I give up. :confused3 I'll check in later to see if anyone else is here.

Amy- we'll be praying for your brother's surgery. Nine bones! Ouch.

Julie

Gail- I know they post dining room lunch menus. If we're on the ship we just eat at Topsiders for lunch. It's easier than putting on real clothes and going down to Lumiere's for the restaurant lunch.

Was that your question? Sorry, I'm so tired. I'm losing my mind.

You're going to think I'm crazy, but I don't know how to post them. :confused3

I'm here! Just got out of the pool, where DH, DD, and I spent 1 1/2 hours talking about...what else...THE CRUISE!!!

Don't worry about how you did your signs. As long as you like them, that's all that matters. I can do the technical stuff, I just don't come up with great looking designs. So basically, I have to steal ideas!

We will not be going arriving in Florida until the 15th, so we have two weeks from today. I'm still excited though. I told everyone that I talked to today, that two weeks from today, we leave for our cruise. To be honest, most everyone that I talk to regularly are tired of hearing about it.

We are not arriving until the 15th either, we fly out of SC around 9 am, and arrive around 1pm at MCO. So I guess I will be the last of the group to leave!

And I don't really bother talking to people about the cruise. I worry that it seems as if I am bragging, when I am really just excited. I guess us Disney cruisers are just a unique bunch. Its a great vacation, and because we have to plan so far in advance (to get the really good prices), it means alot to us. Plus, it's DISNEY, and most of us would not be here if we didn't have the emotional attachment to Disney and all that it stands for.

I really didn't get excited until we got back from our Arizona trip 2 weeks ago. Now I can concentrate on the REAL vacation!! I feel like I'm getting slightly obsessed!

We ended up actually physically cutting and pasting our door signs. I didn't like anything we came up with on the software we had. Hopefully we can take the to get them laminated this weekend.

Going to bed now, really.

For those of you who are planning to book your next cruise while on this one, when are booking for?

I am considering a 2008 cruise, but those dates are not out yet.

Gail, we were just talking about this tonight. We want to do the Eastern cruise next. We like doing the Sept cruises, because of the price, and usually, it is easier for DD to miss school when they have just started, because they are usually reviewing for the first month or so anyway. But, I may rethink that if we have hurricane problems on this cruise. We lucked up last year in September, we barely missed a hurricane that was sitting off the coast of Florida the day we were boarding, and we almost had to board in Ft. Lauderdale. But this time, as long as we hit Castaway Cay, I could care less about the other ports.

We've also cruised in June and in March. In March the water was almost too cold to enjoy (I'm from SC, remember), but June was great. But then again, the prices are high in the summer.

I want to order the Bon Voyage gift package for embarkation day. Has anyone had this before?

I think we did this on our first cruise. I seem to remember it was basically cabin decorations. I really wasn't that impressed, if that was all it was.

No joke. I do have another legitimate question. I know that there are irons in the laundry room, but can we bring the little travel irons with us?

I think the official answer is no, you are not supposed to have travel irons in cabins. I think I brought one on our first cruise. The last cruise I took a bottle of that Wrinkle Releaser stuff, and it really did work. Of course, it won't make things look crisp, but it took the major big wrinkles out (and it makes the clothes smell good!). I'm bringing some on this cruise too.

I wanted to know if the menus for the dinning rooms and Topsiders for lunch was posted somewhere, or maybe there was a copy of the menu in the staterooms. I would just like to compare the menus and decide where we would like to eat instead of just showing up somewhere and eating what ever is being served.

As for attire, I thought that I had read somewhere that you do not have to dress for breakfast and lunch even in the restaurants, just no bathing suits. Is this not true?

I know what you mean by trying not to make people feel like I'm bragging, but I can't help it. I'm just very excited. This is our first cruise ever, and it is Disney. Everyone who has known me any time at all knows that I love anything Disney.

I bet they look great. I do scrapebooking, and I started to use my scrapebook supplies to make signs that look like scrapebook pages. I can't wait to see what you've done.

Gail, I somewhere missed the fact that this was your first Disney cruise. Now I'm extra excited for you!!! It's like going to WDW, without all the hassle, walking, sore feet, waiting in line, etc. I walk onto that ship crying, and I leave crying! On the 7 night cruise we took in Sept last year, my DD8 could not sit through the farewell show on the last night, because she was so upset to be leaving!

I will give you one hint, and hopefully no one has spoiled the surprise. Make sure you see the Disney Dreams show. Stay until the end. If it doesn't bring tears to your eyes, then you are not a true Disney Sap!

I prefer September for the price also. It's the same cruise at half the price. But, DD's school really did not want to give us educational enhancement days for this trip. I'm afraid that if I try it again it will be denied. I guess that I am just going to have to start planning vacations around her school. That said, I don't want cold water or extremely hot temperatures. Am I correct in saying that this leaves me with only the month of May to choose from?

We are talking about two different things. I must have the name wrong. I am talking about the package where you get chocolate covered strawberries, and sparkling cider. I hate to buy food when there is so much free food on board, but DD asked if we could have chocolate covered strawberries in our room on the first day. When I called to ask, I was told that only the suites can have them delivered. If we want them, we must pay. I asked about having them delivered in a basket from Shirley, and was told that she can not put them in baskets. She can only include commercially packaged foods in her baskets. If I knew someone in one of the suites, I would ask them to order them for my DD.

When you brought it was anything said to you about it. I found a list of forebidden items, and I did not see an iron on it. I have read on this board that they do not want you to bring them. It would just be so convenient. I am bringing enough things that we will not have to do laundry unless we have an accident that needs immediately treatment. I just don't want to carry everything to the laundry, iron it and carry it back.

Yes, this is our first Disney Cruise. DD is 8 but she has had some medical issues that made it impossible for us to travel much, or at least to enjoy the travel, until the last few years. Her first trip to WDW was October 2004. We went again in March 2005 (we had AP's). Then we booked this cruise. We also have a Christmas trip at WDW planned for this year with our entire family.

No one has mentioned the ending to Disney Dreams to me yet. We are planning to see all the shows, if possible. I will make sure that we wait for the very end. Thanks for the tip.
