gssmks said:We will not be going arriving in Florida until the 15th, so we have two weeks from today. I'm still excited though. I told everyone that I talked to today, that two weeks from today, we leave for our cruise. To be honest, most everyone that I talk to regularly are tired of hearing about it.
gssmks said:For those of you who are planning to book your next cruise while on this one, when are booking for?
I am considering a 2008 cruise, but those dates are not out yet.
gssmks said:I want to order the Bon Voyage gift package for embarkation day. Has anyone had this before?
gssmks said:No joke. I do have another legitimate question. I know that there are irons in the laundry room, but can we bring the little travel irons with us?
skoi said:Gail- I know they post dining room lunch menus. If we're on the ship we just eat at Topsiders for lunch. It's easier than putting on real clothes and going down to Lumiere's for the restaurant lunch.
Was that your question? Sorry, I'm so tired. I'm losing my mind.

JNorris said:We are not arriving until the 15th either, we fly out of SC around 9 am, and arrive around 1pm at MCO. So I guess I will be the last of the group to leave!
And I don't really bother talking to people about the cruise. I worry that it seems as if I am bragging, when I am really just excited. I guess us Disney cruisers are just a unique bunch. Its a great vacation, and because we have to plan so far in advance (to get the really good prices), it means alot to us. Plus, it's DISNEY, and most of us would not be here if we didn't have the emotional attachment to Disney and all that it stands for.
I really didn't get excited until we got back from our Arizona trip 2 weeks ago. Now I can concentrate on the REAL vacation!! I feel like I'm getting slightly obsessed!![]()

Going to bed now, really.

JNorris said:Gail, we were just talking about this tonight. We want to do the Eastern cruise next. We like doing the Sept cruises, because of the price, and usually, it is easier for DD to miss school when they have just started, because they are usually reviewing for the first month or so anyway. But, I may rethink that if we have hurricane problems on this cruise. We lucked up last year in September, we barely missed a hurricane that was sitting off the coast of Florida the day we were boarding, and we almost had to board in Ft. Lauderdale. But this time, as long as we hit Castaway Cay, I could care less about the other ports.
We've also cruised in June and in March. In March the water was almost too cold to enjoy (I'm from SC, remember), but June was great. But then again, the prices are high in the summer.
JNorris said:I think we did this on our first cruise. I seem to remember it was basically cabin decorations. I really wasn't that impressed, if that was all it was.
JNorris said:I think the official answer is no, you are not supposed to have travel irons in cabins. I think I brought one on our first cruise. The last cruise I took a bottle of that Wrinkle Releaser stuff, and it really did work. Of course, it won't make things look crisp, but it took the major big wrinkles out (and it makes the clothes smell good!). I'm bringing some on this cruise too.
JNorris said:Gail, I somewhere missed the fact that this was your first Disney cruise. Now I'm extra excited for you!!! It's like going to WDW, without all the hassle, walking, sore feet, waiting in line, etc. I walk onto that ship crying, and I leave crying! On the 7 night cruise we took in Sept last year, my DD8 could not sit through the farewell show on the last night, because she was so upset to be leaving!
I will give you one hint, and hopefully no one has spoiled the surprise. Make sure you see the Disney Dreams show. Stay until the end. If it doesn't bring tears to your eyes, then you are not a true Disney Sap!
