Dh and I tried Atkins, actually I tried Atkins and DH was on it by association. We lost alot of weight fast, but we felt terrible. We were always eating but we were always hungry. I will look into the Zone. I am not on for exercise, I just don't enjoy it at all, never have. Not in the high school, not in the Navy and not now. May later, but not yet.

As for Palo I just want one dinner, I am hoping for two, but will settle for one. Amanda and I have our reservations linked so we will be seated together for the regular dining at 8:30. I think it will be her family of 6 and the 2 of us. Amanda is that right?

Siena that is so sweet. I know how hard this is. I have lived this all my life. I have never been skinny. My kids are a lot older than yours. So I have been carrying this baby fat arround for 17 years. :cheer2: I am hoping this cruise will be a good goal to stay on it. It's going to be hard. My youngest graduates from HS in MAy so we will have a few parties and lots of company.

Does any one know if Disney is stopping there yet?

I think that is all still up in the air.

So how is everyone's workout today! Come on ladies, and the occational man who wonders on here wondering what the wife is up to! We can do it! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Well, no actually workout, but let me ask if this counts. We went to watch another high school baseball game, and some brillant person decided to make this wonderful baseball field (one of the nicest we have been to) up on the top of this huge mountain. The problem was that the parking lot was at the bottom of the hill!!!!!! My DD and I walked to the top. I could hardly breath when we reached the top, but I made it. Does that count as a work out?

All jokes aside, I have to get serious about this. I put most of my winter clothes away and got my summer things out. I now have to either lose weight or basically buy all new summer things. That would eat into my frozen drink and shutters budget. I can't have that.

I went to cardio sculpt for 1 hour and pilates for 45 minutes. My hubby is retired airforce so I can use the base gym for free. My oldest came home from college so we went out for dinner before he takes off to see all his HS friends. It's nice to have him home.

I stand corrected. I for one wish I had those on at Palo when we last when. :teeth: Good God was I full, but I still wanted to eat more!!!

Palo is my favorite. We were a group of 12 adults last time. We sat at that big round table in the middle. They brought us every app. family style so we could all taste everything.. Then for dessert we each had a choc. souffle and they brought one of evry other dessert for us to share. We went on the last night so all our clothes were so tight. But it was so worth it........... I love the Tira Misu.

When can we make reservations on line? This is new since we last cruised. A great idea. We didn't have any trouble making them either of the previos cruise and we went in the summer when the ship was full.

I hope every one has a great Friday. I am hoping for some beach :sunny: time this week end. It has been beautiful this week.

Woo hoo! My gown from our last cruise fits-- a little tight in the chest, but it fits. But I still want to loose some weight.

We (dh and I) did South Beach in 2004. I lost almost 20 pounds, but it was a lot of work with all the chopping, cooking, finding alternatives to pasta and bread. We went on a cruise over Halloween, and I was never able to get back on it. I gained back about 18 pounds, but just lost 5 on our trip to China.

I tried getting back on, but I was getting headaches. I guess I'm a terrible bad carb addict and I'm having withdrawal. I exercise 5-6 times a week- either exercise bike or light weights for toning. I guess I need to suck up the headaches for a few days and go back on South Beach when school is out.

Or I can just be plump because my dress fits!

Hi all. No not gone just busy...........Had to float in the pool for a while :sunny: weekends are just too quick.

Have a good sunday.

Hello! I have been gone for the weekend. I will in fact be gone from Friday to Sunday for almost every weekend for the next few months. DD has had some medical issues and in fact had surgery involving her spine and brain almost three years ago. She has continued to have some weakness that they feel is related. She is having occupational therapy. We could have scheduled it locally, but her neurologist is at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, so we scheduled her therapy there so that Dr. Pitman can personally monitor everything. Long story short, we have been making the two hour trip up every Friday. Sometimes we come back on Saturday after her therapy, but we usually stay over night again because she is too tired to make the trip back.

The good part of this is we are getting a lot of shopping done. I bought her dress this weekend. As mentions before, her dress is pulling triple duty, beginning with Easter. It's a little more formal than I would normally buy her for Easter, but I told her that this year we are going to start getting ourselves ready for living big the way we will on the Magic.

I hope everyone else's weeked has been great. And.... No, I have not started the diet!

:surfweb: Good morning all! Well we breaved Seattle this weekend and best of all we made it throught Ikea! I love that store! God help me when the one opens up here next spring! Eric and I actually agreed on everything we got. I was shocked! Or maybe he just wanted to get out of that store! :p It was as crowded as mainstreet in the summer. Not easy to get around with a cart. I hope everyone had a great weekend. And hey, we got one hour closer to our cruise! YEAH!!!!

I invited (no begged) my MIL to join us for this cruise. I really thought it would not be that much to add her, but it is $1600!! Just for her!! Even if we split up, it is going to cost at least that. We are paying for her air too. So basically 2k to add 1 person.
I really want her to go, she is my DS's last surviving Grandparent and I think it would be really special. What to do, What to do! I dare not tell her, then she would never go if she knew it cost that much.

We may cancel our Spring Break 2007 DCL and cruise to Bermuda. That way, she will have a casino. Don't know if she will be all that thrilled with Bingo.

Anyone have extra space for a MIL? :rotfl2:

Ouch! We took my mother on a 3 day with us last February and it was less than $300 additional to add her to one of the 2 cat 9's we had booked since it bumped one of the kids down to the lower "3rd passenger under 12" rate.
