we really shoudl try to get an email group going for our kids, mine will be 11 years old at time of cruise-my DD is planning on emailing Julie's DD to try to "hook up" on line-and my DS is still looking for someone to meet. anyone interested? PM me or email me dsuwinski@buckeye-express.com.

Hello Everyone! Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have already been to the family feast and cut out early to get a little rest. DD's birthday party was Sunday. I wore myself out last week getting ready and this week cleaning up from it. We will be going out of town tomorrow. Our high school basketball team was invited to a panaroma at Rupp Arena in Lexington. They play at 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Everyone is going up tomorrow night to watch the University of Kentucky Wildcats play and then staying over. One of the malls in Lexington has a really nice place called Club Libby Lu's. It's for little girls and they do make overs. After Saturday's game, I am taking my DD and some of the other little girls going with the team there for make overs as part of my DD's birthday. It's all going to be fun, but by Sunday, I'll be exhausted.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

HI everyone! I hope everyone had a great holiday! If you braved BF I hope you got what your were looking for!

Hello Everyone. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and long weekend. I did brave Black Friday, but never again. I normally never go near a store the day after Thanksgiving or any time during the two weeks just before Christmas. The only reason I was at the mall Friday is because the basketball team that I traveled with over the weekend wanted to go. There is no sale good enough to justify being a part of the mess at the malls in Lexington, Kentucky this past Friday. I would rather pay double than do that again. My DD disagreed. She thought it was heaven. As I said before, she is a much bigger shopper than I am.

Our team didn't win, but we really didn't expect to. We drew the defending state Champs. Our little boys did well though. Stuart, the reason I'm involved with the team, had a great game. He scored his first three point shot on Rupp Arena floor. That's like the dream of almost every boy in the state of Kentucky.

Well, I'd better go. Tonight, we have to finish putting up the tree and decorating the rest of the house. My ex-husband and stepson are coming tomorrow to put up our outside lights (if it doesn't rain).

Greetings all. Well we had an uneventful turkey day. Then there was black friday. WOW is all I can say. I mean really when else can you see a shoving match before 5 in the morning. Oh well I went around it and got the one thing I needed and got out of there. I hate to admit it but it was fun! I will continue my BF shopping for as long as I can stand it.

BRRR Who let the cold air in down here in Georgia?? Who can I blame for this??!! LOL I actually needed a coat today, and not just a windbreaker!!! LOL

I'm so jealous!!!! Are you going to do a "Live From the Magic" thread like the ones I've been reading? I'd love to hear from you while you are on board.

If you get time, or have the opportunity, you can find something out for me. I have read on other threads on this board that Topsiders is no longer buffet for dinner. It is now table service. They also said that passengers at Topsiders can order any of the items from the menu being served in the three formal dining rooms. What I'd like to know is whether or not I can go to Topsiders and order the meal that we would have eaten in the dining room and take the meal to our cabin. I guess the question is, can we get the meal as take out to take back to our cabin. I'd like to do this so that I can pick up my DD meal, take it back to the room and let her eat while I am getting ready to dine at Palo. By the time and I ready, she will be finished and I can take her to the Kids Club. I also thought that it would be helpful on port days if we return to the ship late and don't want to miss the show. We can go to Topsiders and pick up the meal and take it back to the cabin and both eat while we are showering and changing for the show.

If you think about it, I'd just be interested in knowing. I was disappointed that the dining room menu is not available as room service.

Hello everyone! It had to happen. I finally caught the virus going around and have been home sick the last two days. It's not all bad. I have spent the time on line reading through the trip reports and posts. I'm getting so excited. Some of these guys do some really neat things. They are getting matching t-shirts and/or buttons. They are scheduling parties at the hotels the night before embarkation as well as on the ship for all the people who post here to get together and meet each other in person. Groups of them are linking there seating in the dining rooms so that groups of tables in the same area are all people who have been talking on these threads. I sure hope that we do things like this.

Thank you for checking out Topsiders for me. I don't blame you for not doing a "live from" thread. While I do enjoy reading those that others do, I myself would not enjoy trying to post every day and respond to questions while still on the ship. Like you, I would want to enjoy my vacation time. You should relax and enjoy your time. I hope it's a wonderful vacation.

Just wanted to drop in with a quick Hello! :wave2:

Hope all is well with everyone! :sunny:

Gail - hope you're feeling better!

Hey everyone! It's a bit chilly here in Florida this morning. I actually have the heat on. I'm hoping that it goes back to being in the 70's today. Yesterday I think we hit 65 as a high but the sun was in and out so it was definitely chilly. We're going to the Magic Kingdom tonight because it is open until 11:00 p.m. I'll bet we need jackets! Tomorrow night we're going to MGM to see the Osborne Light show. Has anyone ever seen it?

Hello Karen. Thank you for the well wishes. I am feeling much better. In fact, all the symptoms are gone except the cough. I am taking prescription cough syrup, and the cough is getting no better. As long as I am able to return to work Monday, I will be happy.

Annae, my DD and I have been to WDW twice, but never at Christmas. We had planned to go Christmas 2006, and decided to take this cruise in September instead. I'd love to see all the special Christmas activities. What I have seen on the internet looks great. Can I ask a couple questions? 1) About how many days would we have to spend at WDW to get to see all or most of the special Christmas activities? 2) On an average, is it really cool during the days and nights in Orlando around Christmas? Would we need jackets all the time or would long sleeve tops be alright? 3) What is attendance like during the month of December? I realize the week of Christmas will be very crowded, but how about the earlier weeks of December?

Ohh how I wish it was at least 60 here. It's in the teens right now and this little white fluffy stuff is comming down.

I feel really bad complaining about the weather being in the 60's when ya'll are all in the teens! SORRY! We just moved to Florida this past July from New Jersey. I should be used to cold weather but I guess I thought it would be much warmer here this time of year. As for the weather here during x-mas, I have asked all of my new neighbors and co-workers this same question. I get different answers believe it or not. DH and I are just waiting out the winter to see what we get. So far, I wear a hooded sweatshirt at night if I need to run out. During the day, if the weather says 70's, I dress my boys in shorts and t-shirts still. The last two days though, they have worn jeans with long sleeve t-shirts with fleece jackets over that. The mornings start off around 50 or so lately. By nighttime, it is about 60 or so. I'll see tonight how it is in Disney and let you guys know. This is my first x-mas at Disney so I'm not real sure about the events. I want to see the Osborne Light Show that is a must. We saw all the lights going up a month or so ago but we haven't gotten there to actually see them lit up yet. We want to hit Epcot on x-mas eve or x-mas day, I can't remember which one it is, but John Stamos will be there reading christmas stories. We have dinner reservations at the Beach Club at the Cape May for x-mas dinner. I didn't want to cook!!! and we plan on being in the Magic Kingdom at 9:00 a.m. on x-mas morning. I heard that if you don't get there early, you risk not getting in since Disney will shut the gates when it reaches maximum capacity.

Oh, one more thing. I called 2 1/2 weeks ago to book our Christmas Dinner in Disney. It was very very difficult finding a place to eat at a decent time. Everything in the Magic Kingdom, MGM and EPCOT were completely sold out! I tried for Chef Mickey which was also sold out. I even tried to pull the old well I'm a Florida Resident Annual Premium Passholder can I get in with that. Of course the answer was NO! We had to settle for the Cape May in the Beach Club which I've never been to. We also had to take a 2:40 seating or we wouldn't have been able to eat there either. If any of you are planning to come to Disney at any time...MAKE YOUR DINNER RESERVATIONS AT LEAST 90 DAYS OUT! I am finding that you can't find any restaurant, at any time, to eat in if you don't have a reservation.
