Well, the Castaway Club party just got a little bigger! I booked a Cat 7 for the Dad and me. We're in 7120, one of my much beloved "obstructed verandah" rooms.

It's all Annae's fault! She's been pestering er,uh...I mean encouraging me to book this cruise. We sailed with Anna and her family last year on the Wonder and are looking forward to repeating that insanity again in 2006!

By the time we sail, this will be my 9th DCL cruise and the Dad's 5th. We figure if we just keep booking them then eventually we'll come to like them.

Looking forward to chatting over the next 18 months. Ugh..I shouldn't have said it. That makes it seem soooo far away.

Welcome aboard anymouse! We have the same philosophy towards Ericamanda01 nad her DH. We sailed with them on the 09-19-04 Wonder, and we figured if we keep booking for the same sail date as tehm than eventually they will come to like us!

Yep! That was a wonderfully relaxing moment on my verandah during my October 2004 cruise on the Wonder with my sisters.

I am sooo ready to be back on board!! i am ready for a vacation. I decided to take the kids to WDW Memorial Day weekend, anyone gonna be there at that time and up for a pre cruise meet?

A store that sells husbands has just opened in <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = ST1 /><ST1:CITY w:st="on"><ST1LACE w:st="on">Chicago</ST1LACE></ST1:CITY> where a woman may go to choose a husband from among many men. The store is composed of 6 floors, and the men increase in positive attributes as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch. As you open the door to any floor you may choose a man from that floor, but if you go up a floor, you cannot go back down except to exit the building.

So a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads: "Floor 1 - These men have jobs."

The woman reads the sign and says to herself, "Well, that's better than my last boyfriend, but I wonder what's farther up?" So up she goes.

The second floor sign reads: "Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love kids." The woman remarks to herself, "That's great, but I wonder what's farther up?" And up she goes again.

Third floor sign reads: "Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love kids and are extremely good looking." "Hmmm, better" she says. "But I wonder what's upstairs?"

The fourth floor sign reads: "Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking and help with the housework."

"Wow!" exclaims the woman, "very tempting. BUT, there must be more farther up!" And again she heads up another flight.

The fifth floor sign reads: "Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, help with the housework and have a strong romantic streak." "Oh, mercy me! But just think... what must be awaiting me farther on?" So up to the sixth floor she goes.

The sixth floor sign reads: "Floor 6 - You are visitor 3,456,789,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping Husband-Mart and have a nice day

Good afternoon cruisers! I just wanted to wish everyone a great weekend! Hope everything is going good for everyone. My morning started off plain old NASTY, my DS 1 (almost 2) was covered in an overflowing diaper this am, and I not talking about pee! UGH...sorry for that disgusting image but ugh, ya know. I put him on the tub and bathed him, but eeeeeeewwwww LOL

I am sooo glad my twins diaper days are over!! We just got back from seeing Robots-very funny-Robin Williams makes the show! I am enjoying day 3 of my SEVEN days off-i worked 3 12 hour shifts in a row so i could do this. we suprised the kids with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge (in Sandusky Ohio-about 45 minutes away). Picked them up from school and had their pillows in the car. They asked why we told them they were going to Military school, they started laughing and i told them we wers serious, "look your bags are in the back" they looked over the seat and sure enough there were their suitcases, they turned back around and the look on their faces....Priceless. I broke out in laughter and said "no, we're going tro great bear lodge.....then your going to military school"!! We had a great time. Hope everyone else enjoys their weekend!

Thought I would pop by this thread and say hey. We have been thinking about canceling this cruise to take the kids on a tour of California and cruise a 6 day out of LA. I don't know if we can afford to cancel (lol) with the deal we have, and adjoining sph rooms as well. We will decide next year I guess!

Darcy........I see things are going well with you. Tell Tony and the kids we all say hi from Westerville. I watched Extreme Makeover last night and the "Big Reveal" was at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood! It sure brought back fond memories of $7 bud lights around the pool! I think it was all worth it for the experience we took from it (maybe not for Tony, huh?).

I would hate to see you cancel, but that is the beauty of booking so early! YOu have so long to consider, and if you decide to cancel you lose out on nothing but a great rate! However, if you dont book and deliberate on taking the cruise, than you miss out on EBS ! LOL Anyways I dont want you to cancel, but if you have to, than OK I guess you'd be forgiven! LOL

Amanda may forgive you if you cancel but my little man may not be so forgiving! I mentioned that you guys may cancel and his bottom lip dropped to the ground! Seriously, it sounds like you'll have a great vacation either way-but something would be amiss without my "traveling companion".
Tell the family a Big Hello from us! How's your weather? We have escaped to Castaway Bay, Great Wolf Lodge and soon to go to the Kalahari resort (the new one in Sandusky) the friday of memorial day. We had a beautiful spring day yesterday with a nice dusting of snow and sleet-gotta love Ohio!

Darcy........tell Jake not to get worried just yet. We will keep it booked until June of next year (2006) while we decide. We will see how it goes this September to see if we still have the "call of the Magic" when we get off the boat. I am glad that Bo will have his cousins with him this year, or I fear it might have been a disappointment without your son!

We are going to Great Bear this Friday! We just got the reservation yesterday and the kids don't know. $400 for a regular room, but the guilt of Spring Break without at least somewhere to go was getting us!

Mighty quiet over here folks! Everyone still alive and kicking? We have to get this party started! We already have over 3000 posts on our 05/27 Double Scoop Group thread! LOL Of course a lot of it is fluff and general conversation, but we sure are having a grand time!

Do you realize that when I booked this cruise it was 2 years out, and time has already whittled away to only17 months! 7 months have already passed! It will be here in no time!
I am REALLY looking forward to 2006 I will get to cruise 2 times in a 5month period! Woohoo!

We booked the cruise a few months ago-- but are currently waiting to see if dh will be deployed (he's a reservist) next month for 18 months! Now to answer the questions:

We are: Julie, dh Steve, dd Sadie (10 now) ds Sig (6 now) and hopefully one more-- we're starting the adoption process so we're really tense and wigged out right now.

This will be our 3rd 7 night cruise. We love cruising in Sept and are glad to be back on schedule. We went over Halloween last year and it was packed! Never again.

Fav character: still thinking. Used to be Tigger, but I'm old and slow now and he tires me out.

Forgot number 4.

We're currently booked in a cat 6, but will have to upgrade to a family veranda if the adoption goes through as scheduled (yeah, my schedule, not anyone's else's).

Praisehisname-- you mentioned you were cramped in a Cat 4? How cramped?
