Seashells ~ we did it, we finally did it. We cut Mekayla's hair. OMG! It's really cute. I have an appointment tomorrow after work to have this lady look at her hair...she's going to decide if she's going to relax it (those boxes dark-n-lovely~ do not work on her hair) or just corn row it and leave it be in the back. I want to get the front corn rowed and leave the back poofy. I wish I knew how to corn row.....I am so white Me and my two (black) friends from work were talking about hair today...it's amazing how much I didn't know about ethnic hair. Poor Mekayla, I don't know how she survived the last nine years!

Me too! I swear they put something in the water there! aLL OF SUDDEN MONEY DOES NOT matter when I am on WDW proprty!! "$40 for a tee shirt! Wow thats a bargain...get em all!!!!!!!!!!" LOL

Stopped in at World of Disney on Monday......didnt really need or want anything but I decided I had to have Disney UNO for $12, Disney Candyland for $16, Stitch Trouble for $12 and Stitch Operation for $22....Did I really need $72 worth of board games? Or better ?? did I really need Disney themed board games for $72 when I could have purchase the regualr versions for about half the price?

We have some of those games too and they have never been opened!
We make it a point to head over to the outlet mall and pick up some shirts for as little as $5 so the rest of the trip we won't be so tempted. The best is when you can use your Disney Visa points. Nothing is better than spending over $100 and handing them the DV rewards card and having it all paid for.

I don't have any new pictures. I really don't think I look much different just all my clothes are baggy.

Has any one ever had a hair cut on the ship? I have no idea what to do with my hair. I never had a good shop to go to. i would love for someone to look at me and say this would look good on you and just cut it.

I am not even going to try and catch up on all the pages you all have written last night! Wow, I have the worst case of TECS or "too exctied can't sleep!" syndrom. And I still have to work today! I didn't get to sleep until well after mindnight and I woke up around 5:30 this morning. I must stop at Starbucks this morning!!!! I wonder if they sell the big gulp version of espresso! If last night was bad tonight trying to sleep will be useless!

Thea - I thought about the half head of rows with the poof....but im not skilled at corn rows...i can do it but its not as tight as I would like it...and Im sure after the salt water and sand of Sun at CC I would end up taking out all the rows to wash it!!

Im glad it worked out...does Mekayla like it?

Princess Amanda - its pathetic that two people would carry on that way in front of kids or at all....they seemed to be taking advantage of you being alone...I bet that wife would have kept her mouth under better control if her hubby was not there!
If there is ever a next time "Hey didnt I see you guys on Jerry Springer, The I Married My Brother Episode!" or "Kids this is an example of what you become when you drop out of grade school and drink beer all day"...okay maybe saying these things might be adding fuel to the fire..but it would feel soooo good for the moment!

We just got a Disney visa from Chase...when do the reward cards get sent out? I have charged everything from my flat screen tv to new rugs for the house (I would have charged my new car if I had the credit line) I have racked up a few thousand in the last couple of months....when do I get a rewards card.....is it something you have to call Chase and ask for?

Oh wait, I know...I'll get my rewards card in the mail on Monday the 25th of September! After our trip to WDW and the cruise

Do yourself a favor and go to a nice salon where you live (pretend you're at the ship's salon in your head) do not, I repeat, do not get your hair cut onboard. Styled for dinner, "yes" curled and an updo..."yes" cut with scissors like cut...I mean CUT no way, I have heard horror stories that would make you not even want to walk into the salon on board......

Oh Joanne, for Peat's sake...don't do it!

I don't know who "Peat" is or why I even care, but for his sake...don't go there.

How many drinks would it take to get you....My favorite Canadian...to teach me to corn row on one fine sea day? Oh honey... I do not do her hair, I pay someone and it just kills me to fork out $$$ to braid her hair! But I have no clue, so that's the only way it's getting done. There are 10 black people in Eugene, Oregon. That's it....10 (Mekayla's dad used to come home and say "well I saw number five today, only been in Eugene, Oregon 6 years and I saw the fifth brother today" ) it's true. There is one ethnic hair shop and they have a monopoly on the extensions and relaxer market. Finally I asked one of the Sista's at work to hook me up and adopt me into their family 'cause my baby needs some hair attention. Last night they took pity on me. They laughed at me, but they took pity.

Thea, your such a funny little nugget! I am trying desperatly to do all the little things that I have put off to the last minute. Like my door signs. I just don't see why they spend so much money taking so many trips to WDW if everything about it makes them so unhappy. When I was there, I walked around in a daze most of the time because I was so wrapped up in the pure level of excitement and amazement. If someone had been doing something offensive around me, I probably would not have even noticed.

Ha, Gail- you're probably one of the people they complain about- you know- how you stop in their path "to look at something", or how you walk through their picture, etc. Not flaming YOU of course- but I've seen some of those threads and I think- wow, was that me they're so mad at?

If the worst thing they have to complain about is someone at DW, or the fact that there's dust on top of the curtain valence (see some of the DVC threads) then they should get on their knees and thank whatever god/godess they believe in that they don't have real problems.

And if they saw me with my kids on a really bad school day- I'd be in prison.
