09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

I knew it, go away for the weekend and get $64.00 each way from MDW. :sad2:

I have so much to do and I will be busy most of the day doing it. My fish extenders are done but I still have 2 pirate costumes to buy fabric for and magnetic paper for the door. I don't think I am going to have time to design many door signs.

Ann- I am still so jealous (but a happy for you kind of jealous;) ) about your B2B2B...gotta try for at least a B2B next year!

Thats cool for you guys!!!
It's so much fun just being on the ship on the saturday for the next cruise. You get so hyper for the next cruise, you con't stand it!
Will you be taking the kids?

Ann:cheer2:

Also - what kind of stuff do you pass out? I know for myself, getting the kids something (meaning all of your folks kids) will be easy as I am good at that but would love some ideas of what you give?

Thanks so much for the advice/help!!!

I am kind of stumped for ideas too, I was thinking some stickers, or lollipops, maybe.:confused3

Ok - since I am having the dardnest time finding a fish extender to purchase I am going to try and sew *gasp* one together - this should be interesting.

With the above in mind - am I too late to get on board with this cruises' fish extender?

Also - I have been searching high and low and cannot find magnetic backing for paper/photos - any idea? I did find, at jo ann's today, some clear plastic frames that have magnetic backing - can I use that as well (just slide picture into it?)

I got my 2 packs of magnetic paper, 1 at Staples, and 1 at Wal Mart. It is not just a backing, you actually print you image right on the sheet of paper.

I registered my DDs at the club online at DCL site. Do I need to print that out? Or are they good now that I registered online? I didn't know if I needed to print it and bring it with my other documents.

I also registered our daughter a few weeks ago but it didn't state I needed to print out my paperwork. I "believe" we are good.

Yeah - I have found that type of paper but it is only for an inkjet. My printer here at home is a laserjet - b/w but my father down the road has a color laser so was going to bum his for awhile. Is there something else that doesn't require a printer.

Good Morning all... hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent the weekend making a vest/bowtie for my DH and formal night. Turned out really cute! It's a Disco Mickey print. Kind of like a rainbow mosaic print (think disco ball) with black silhouttes of Mickey. Can't wait to show him off.

Still working on my pirate costume. Sadly it looks more "gypsy" than pirate. I'm about ready to slap on a POTC T-shirt and my pirate ears and be done with it. Are most of you dressing up for Pirate Night? pirate:

We are dressing up for Pirate night, I got a costume for Halloween last year, here I am with Captain Jack at the Magic Kingdom Pirate and Princess Party.

I am printing mine on a color laser. Instead of printing on magnetic paper, I'm printing on regular paper, and having it laminated. Then I'll buy a roll of magnets, and tape them on the back using duck tape. The duck tape is supposed to help the magnets stay flat on the back (they tend to want to "roll" back up).

Now I'm having to search for t-shirt transfer paper made for color laser printers. You can't use the kind for inkjets. I'm going to have to order it, but it better get here in a hurry!

Lori, I started to ask you if that was your DH, then I reread your post!:lmao:

My DH will be in full Jack Sparrow costume too.

We all have matching Mickey Hawaiian print outfits (the light blue ones), but they don't even know it yet! Can't wait to see dh's face! :rotfl: At least it is blue, for goodness sake. This is the print:

Too Funny, we wore the same ones last cruise, and everyone hated it...so this year no matching mickey shirts :sad1:, but they didnt exactly say no matching tshirts, just the mickey carribean outfits, so we all now having matching shirts to board the ship...:rotfl2:

Wow, I went away for the weekend, and you guys have been busy!!! I am trying to check the posts, but we moved our office this last week, and comcast has not installed our high speed yet, they should be here some time today, so all I have here is dial up...Its like, let me push the computer out of the window, it moves so slow!!!:rotfl2:

I had a great weekend with my friend from HS, it had been over a year since I last seen her and it was good to see a great friend! I have been fighting this awful sinus infection...I had a scratchy throat at first, then it turned into a sore throat, and then I almost lost my voice, and my head felt like it was going to explode...It wasnt pretty, so I was very afraid that I wouldnt feel well this weekend, but I finally gave in and started the antibiotics(I hate to take antibiotics unless its necessary, for fear of becoming immune to them when I really do need them) And I feel 100% better this morning!!! I decided that I didnt want to cruise feeling this bad!

No Docs here yet...When I was leaving for work, the fed-ex truck was at the house, but it was a pirate costume that we ordered for DD...Now we just have to get 2 more together for the other 2 girls and we will be set. Hopefully we will have them when I get home this afternoon!

This morning was an eventful one for my youngest DD(Stepdaughter) She went to her first day at preschool! I unfortunately wasnt able to make it there to see her(Comcast couldnt give us an exact time, just between 8-5), but dad is there, and hes taking lots of pics!

I cant believe that we are under 2 weeks!!!!

After months of dreading the drive to Florida, and buying a new car to make sure it's a safe drive, we got a ding this morning that DH couldn't pass up. We got $64 each way from Chicago.   By the time we pay for gas and a hotel to and from, it's only an extra $150 or so. I'm so happy. We went to the Halloween store tonight to look at the pirate stuff, my boys seem uninspired, I may just choose what they'll wear and the'll have to deal with it.:) Have a great weekend!
Tara

Congrats!!! We got a $64 ding from MDW about 2 months ago...We booked for $79, so it was $15 a ticket...We are flying down on Airtran, because it was on special for $59, we had a credit, and the flight was nonstop...But home on SW...

The plastic frames would work, but I would personalize the plastic, otherwise it may walk, along with your pics

I found this really great fabric tranfer paper...Its actually cotton, not the plastic transfer, and it worked great for our tshirts...I found it at the dollar tree, its from Wilton, and it has 5 sheets in a pack...Good Luck with the transfers!

Julie, can't wait to see your work with your DH's vest/bowtie :mickeyjum

DBF and I will just be wearing our POTC t-shirts. I'll have a black skirt and jewelry and DBF will just be in shorts.

Lisa, great costume! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
