09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

I am wearing a black knee length dress(with pink accessories), I was going to have my DD wear her xmas dress (black and pink velvet, really pretty on her), my DH and DN wear black suits with pink shirts and black ties(yes pink-and DH was going to wear it) But then I was reading that little girls sometimes wear princess dresses, so we would have DD wear Cinderella dress, DH and DN wearing blue shirts with black ties, and me with the same black dress, blue accessories. What do you guys think, my DH said he will wear whatever I want him to, and I can't decide.:goodvibes

I love the idea of the Cinderella dress, with everyone else in black and blue. That would make a great picture!

No tuxes here. Just picked up new Claiborne suits for my boys on clearance for $30! We'll have white dress shirts and ties to go with. DH will be in black suit with black dotted tie, I have a black knee length dress with X straps in back with strappy black heels. Hoping to get a good family portrait done. My MIL is still looking for a new dress to bring with and FIL will be in suit as well.
Had a scarey moment yesterday, my brother lives in Minneapolis and drives the bridge every day! Wasn't able to get ahold of him and his wife till 8:00 last night-they're fine. I feel so bad for everyone affected by this tragedy.

I'm glad your family is safe, my heart also goes out to those affected by this tragedy:hug:

I think we will go with the Cinderella dress, but will bring the other just in case!!:goodvibes

DH will bring his tux and a dark suit, and then I'll bring a couple cocktail dresses and a couple of formal dresses. I found a cocktail dress at Caesers Palace a few months ago, I just HAD to have it.

Sorry you had such a scare yesterday. It must have been horrible.

So that would put us in Lumieres for Formal night, right? Isn't formal night on Sunday?

By the way, is everyone dressing "to the hilt" for formal night? I'm not a ball-gown type of person. More of a cocktail dress type person. Last year I did that, while DH wore his tux and DD wore a floor length formal gown. I would really like to talk DH out of wearing the tux again this year.

That's right!!! I didnt even think about that when she gave me the rotation...I am going to dress up, but not sure how fancy...DBF is wearing a Tux, and so is his dad!

That's cool if we get PLA - My biggest concern was that we have Palo's booked for Sunday night and I didn't want to miss Animators. I've never seen Animators and heard they only do the black/white to color during the first night of your rotation in there.

:wizard: Good Morning, good morning:rolleyes1

no tux here, DS will be in his nice new suit. :confused3 I'm so undecided, something old, something new, something borrowed.....:scared: oh my gosh that's the wrong song:lmao:

.......counting the days:dance3:

Wow! I am really behind in posting here. You guys have been chatty! ;)
We have booked Palo for our formal night because the couple that is going with us does not like to dress up. As a matter of fact, they had said that they would skip the dining room if they needed to. I assured them that they would be find in causual or dressy pants and tops, just no shorts or jeans. I have several dresses because I wear dresses to church each Sunday. Plus I have two formal dresses for cruises. We will not be wearing the formals for this cruise, though, because we don't want them to feel out of place. That is the reason I booked Palo for formal night. I know that I can wear semi formal at Palo and be ok. I will wear a nice knee length black dress. DH will wear his suit. I know that the other lady had to planned to buy a dress. Her husband already has a jacket to wear with his dress pants. Then we will wear those outfits again on semi formal night. I will bring dresses for my girls for that night also. They each have about 4 dresses for church days so they can wear those at dinner.

DBF and I also have Palo booked for Formal Night. That was actually an accident because the other 2 nights we wanted were already booked when I was able to log in. Anywho, I will have a tea-length dress that I wore in my friend's wedding which is semi-formal enough and DBF will have a nice suit on. He doesn't own a tux but we were going back and forth about renting one for him on the cruise after DCL sent us that packet with the pricing and order form. Man I can't wait for this cruise to come. My countdown is now at 43 days and I remember when it said over 300!

I want to pack!!!:scared: Please... I .. have to.... please!!!!:sad2: I have not been on vacation all year:sad1: , I need it!!

:lmao: :lmao: I havent fully unpacked from the last trip...and won't!!! So you are not insane...I always pack early, that way I know I have everything!!!

So let me get this straight - there will be several of us at Palo for formal night (Sunday)? - Cool....

Speaking of packing, How many swimsuits do you all plan to take? I took dd to the pool yesterday and I snagged my suit on something. Now I only have one swimsuit left! I dread swimsuit shopping. :headache: So depressing.

I always bring two - as well as I have my daughter and husband bring two. It's probably more important for me because I very much dislike having to get a swimsuit at the last minute. I am a "little" bit overweight so I like to get the swimsuits that "slim" - to find a good one like that last minute always sucks for me. Well husband and daughter don't have that issue (they can pretty much take anything off rack).

OMG I hate swimsuit shopping too! We just came back from a week in Myrtle Beach, and when we got there, I realized I had left my (one) good swimsuit at home. So I went to the mall, not expecting to find anything, but I found 2 great swimsuits at Sears on clearance. They were $88 each, and I got them for $65.00 total for the two! I even managed to get DD a new one for like $7!

I'm taking the 2 new ones, and my DD and DH usually take 2 or 3 swimsuits.

Men have it so easy, don't they? They are basically wearing a pair of shorts with an elastic waist. They are made of material that dries in like a minute. We have to pick out something that fits, doesn't show too much in the wrong places, slims but doesn't create "bulges", and ours usually cost way more than a man's swimsuit.

I have to buy swim suits in pieces:headache:
So this year Im doing alot of tankinis!
2 bottoms and several tops:banana: Ive had to get rid of my funky back tan from paddling in racer back tops. And the tankinis worked well.
So the answer is (mix and match) 5. And 1 long sleeved capaline(sp?) top.
And tons of sun screener. And BTW... I like the neutragena spray stuff. Smells nice too.

Ann :stitch:

I needed to get another bathing suit, as I only had one, and I am also a "little" overweight:rotfl: , so I have been looking all summer, with no luck! Well my DM and I went last night to Kohl's, found a really pretty brown and blue one piece suit, with no tags, no other ones left, well I took it to customer service, it was $13.49, all of their suits were 70-80% off. So I came home and actually had a pair of swim shorts that already matched.:cool1:
So if anyone needs one, try there, before it is slim pickings!!
