We got our cruise packets this weekend too...

I have been over on the cruise critics boards reasearching tours for our ports. I now think we are going to hire a private tour company for our time on St Thomas. Many of the folks over their highly recommend http://sunnylistontours.com or http://www.godfreytoursvi.com Both have almost the exact itinerary. They pick you up at the ship at 9, 10 or 11am (you pick the time depending on how long you want to shop) and take you into town for shoppping. Then at Noon they leave on a tour of the island. You will be returned to the ship by 2pm or you have the option of going to a beach (Coki, Megans Bay or Saphire Beach) for two hours then they will come back and pick you up to return you to the ship by 4pm. All this and the cost is only $25pp (under 2 is free) I will put the links on our Web site in case anyone else is interested is going on one of these tours.

I have thought about Sunny Liston tours too. I have read great things about them. That is exactly what I would like to do on St. Thomas - the tour- but I also want to do the beach. My only concern is the time factor if we do the beach too. I am concerned about going back to the ship so close to departure time. What do you think? I would like to do Coki Beach I think.

We would definately want to stay at the beach!!!! Any reason you would pick Coki Beach? I was thinking of Saphire Beach because I have read several post from people who have been snorkling off the beach and seen sea turtles!!! The tour sounds great and I am sure they will make sure you are back to the ship ontime. Their business depends on word of mouth so they do have a reputation to protect. It is not something I had even thought to worry about...

Yes, I'm actually back. Now that the wedding is over I can start thinking about the cruise. Kamgen kindly put off hounding me until I could actually breathe again. Now the cruise planning is full on! I've already booked our room for the night before the cruise at the Wilderness Lodge. I've never stayed there, so I'm really excited to try it. I'm also really looking forward to having DS on the trip with us. I think it will be great for solidifying our little family and I can't wait to see his reactions to everything.

I haven't really seen any excursions I want to do yet. I want to do at least one on St. Thomas or St. Maarten as a family, but it doesn't really seem like there are many that would be good for kids (he'll be 5 at the time of the cruise). Any suggestions?

Oh, I am SO going to need this vacation. Hope everyone is doing well. Here's a pic from our wedding.

We did the Capt Nautica trip and we also swam with the sea turtles and alot of different fish. That's why we are going back... and the fast boat ride over to St John! Whoo Hooo !!

I don't have any advice for you on a 'family tour' but I am sure others Disers will have great advice!!!!

Hey everyone!

Megan- beautiful pic! It was so great to be there to share your day with you!! Miss you guys already!

Lisa- I am trying to get my mom to post more! She is busy....and not really good at getting on the DIS yet!

Well, my cousin's wedding is finally over. It went really well and she LOVED her cake....thank goodness! And the dessert table was pretty much cleaned out before dinner was over...guess that means people liked it! So now we are just getting ready for our community wide yard sale this weekend....gotta try and make some "cruise cash"

We are doing Palo dinner on Formal night. We requested a certain rotation and have always gotten it in the past, so we are just planning that way this time as well. So if that happens, that night is our least favorite menu....and the bonus of only having ot get dressed up twice! LOL!!! And I would NOT miss PALO for anything!

Thanks!!! Actually Digiscrapping is easy once you learn the program. I personally use Corel Paint Shop Pro but if I had to chose a program over again, I would have picked Adobe Photoshop Elements since there are many more instructions on 'how to' do things with that program on the digiscrapping sites. There are papers & elements that you can download (many of them you can get free...or you can design your own). You should check out scrapbooking threads here. There are several about digital scrapping...

Well, we had an incredibly crazy weekend...Tim had a Spinal Tap on Wednesday of last week, and is still in the hospital from complications. So I have been at the hospital as much as possible. We did get our cruise docs, and are going to do Palo brunch on Sunday, not sure about dinner yet. As far as tours go we are not sure yet, I will do a little research, and decide soon! Tim is doing much better and should either be home today or tomorrow! I am so happy, he was so miserable!

As far as whatever else is going on, theres not nuch else, we have a trip planned in July to WDW, and we are trying to coordinate that! We just found out that some friends are going to be there the same time! Should be fun.

We are still working on the yard sale stuff. So amazing how much junk you can accumulate over the years! Hopefully we can get rid of some of it. Especially since the cruise is coming up quick!

Anyone decide on excursions yet?? We picked one, but I still debating doing something else.What is everyone else doing??
