I have a sea sickness question.
On our last Disney cruise we got into some very rough waves. My youngest daughter got very sick that night and I felt so sorry for her. She did vomit several times. This will be my third cruise. Bonine has worked fine for me. On our last Disney cruise, my youngest was 6 years old. She didn't do the second cruise with us; it was a couple's cruise for DH and me. So this will be her second cruise. I am concerned about her getting sea sick again. She was too young to take Bonine so she had the herbal/ginger chewable pills on that first cruise. I am afraid to give Dramamine because I don't want to make her sleepy. Do any of you have recommendations on what I should give my 9 year old to help with sea sickness on this cruise?

Please count us in for 3 bracelets - Are they all one size? I have been out of it hosting a huge Easter Celebration. Now, I am trying to get back in the thick of planning, so please forgive me for lying low lately. I am also interested in other get-togethers, and helping out with $.
We keep changing our plans - on-site/off-site hotel before the cruise/car/no-car - IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. Such is the fate of an over-planner! We may be flying into St. Pete and driving over as USA3000 has $69 flights one-way both coming and going, but don't fly into MCO.

Thank you. I will try the Dramamine at home this summer. It may not make her sleepy at all. I just assumed that it would and never even tried it.

They have childrens bonine, I purchased it last year just in case and never had a need for it! So hopefully we wont need it this year!

Great!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will buy some. I will have Dramamine just in case, too. However, I think I will try the Bonine with her first since I know it works great for me. I start taking it a full 24 hours before I board the boat and then continue the entire cruise. That is what my doctor suggested. I started my daughters on the ginger/herbal pills the day before they boarded on that last cruise too. I will probably try the Bonine a couple of days before we board this time to make sure it doesn't make her sleepy. If it does, I can try the Dramamine. They both have their annual well-exams/physicals in July so I have time to talk to the pediatrician too.

CVS pharmacy...They had a great selection. I was going to take the childrens brand also, because even dayquil makes me sleepy, but we had no need for it, Hopefully its like that again! If you cant find it for some reason, let me know, and maybe I could pick it up for you, and send it to ya!

I also have asked my dr to prescribe a motion sickness patch for the kids, just in case! I have the patch, and the dr instructed me to cut it half and place behind childs ear for the duration of the cruise if the child starts to get motion sickness!

Hey everyone! And welcome to all the new people who have joined our cruise!
We were at WDW for a few days and I have been waist deep in laundry ever since! Then we had my cousins bridal shower today, so I am finally able to relax and post! We had a great time in WDW, but now nothing till the cruise, so I am full force in planning!

I have not cruised since 2001. I have always used the patch for motion sickness on cruises. I get sick in the back seat of a car. Is the bodine better?
